It was great to go to a show where there was not obscene language. I took my 13 and 8 year old boys. God Bless this Band! They remind me everyday that God Reigns!

  • Energy is incredible!

Not sure why this band is not more mainstream. By their own choice maybe? Pigeon holed as a Christian band? I just hope they keep doing what they are doing. Amazing musicians, superb lyrics and an onstage presence that keeps your eyes and ears on the stage. A concert for the entire family which is rare these days. My only complaint (I don't even want to call it that, but) I wished the set was longer. 45 minutes maybe? Ten songs? Don't let that sway you from seeing them. Well worth the money and time. Will be sure to see again one day.

  • Needtobreathe inspiring

    by Hammer1664 on 3/12/10State Theatre - St PetersburgRating: 5 out of 5

This band shows you can have character and still put on a good show.

  • The performances were great - but LONG wait!

by LvsNeedtobreathe on 3/12/10State Theatre - St PetersburgRating: 4 out of 5

Overall, the show was good. The opening acts were impressive, but played for way too long. Once the opening acts finished it was another 30 min wait before Needtobreathe made it to the stage. They did a good job once they finally made it on. However, this whole experience was tainted by the fact the tickets had the wrong time printed on them. The tickets indicated the show started at 6 pm. The doors did not open until 7:00 and the show did not start until 8:00 pm. Therefore, fans were waiting a ridiculous amount of time in the rain and no one acknowledged the ticket issue or apologized for the inconvenience.

  • needtobreathe rocks state theatre

    by hebrews12 on 3/12/10State Theatre - St PetersburgRating: 4 out of 5

the state theatre in st. pete is a great place to see a show. graham colton and stephen kellog and the sixers did a nice job warming up the crowd. colton played acoustic guitar and is kind, humble and has a nice voice. his sound reminds me of better than ezra. kellog and the sixers were an interesting mix of talented musicians. something about kellog reminded me a little of springsteen from the early days. passionate, high energy, deep lyrics, and a tight band. they had the house rocking and the crowd was very appreciative. nice mix in the crowd. probably 75% christian and ranged in age from 6-65. needtobreahte came on around 9:45 (doors opened at 7). they rocked hard from start to finish. lead singer bear was under the weather, but you could hardly tell. these guys are special. they were all humble and very appreciative. played almost he entire "outsiders" album. the band was tight, loud, and rocking. i think they have found a niche that is unique. think black crowes with spiritual lyrics. christian guys who rock the house and are unapologetic about who they are. the lyrics have depth and meaning and you can tell these guys feel it. i agree with one fan who yelled "play all your songs".....that is how you feel when you see them....you wish they would play all night. for $20 this was hard to beat. highly recommended.

  • Needtobreathe brings The Heat!

They were AMAZING! Better than the CD if that is possible, and that is hard to do ;-)

  • Best stage show ever!

by MrsPatty on 3/12/10State Theatre - St PetersburgRating: 5 out of 5

From the moment the opening act took the stage we were on a journey of musical quality. Stephen Kellog and the Sixers stage show rivaled headliners shows that I've seen in the past. What a band to warm up for Needtobreathe. BecauseNeedtobreathe has such a soulful feel to their music, I didn't know what to expect from their live performance. WOW! Was I blown away. Great lights and stage presence without losing the soulful one to one feel of their music. One of the best concerts I've attended! I will not miss the opportunity to see any of these preformers when they return to my area.

  • NeedToBreathe is the next Third Day

by Firebyrd on 3/12/10State Theatre - St PetersburgRating: 5 out of 5

These guys are amazing. They sound so tight. I was truly impressed to hear them sound so awesome live in concert. These guys are not just a studio band, they are meant to be seen live. I was lucky to see them in a very small intimate venue, but I bet this will be the last time I see them in place like the State Theatre. Next time I see them I'll see them in large auditorium or concert arena. And I'll definitely buy those tickets.

  • A Really Special Evening!

by CarleenG on 3/12/10State Theatre - St PetersburgRating: 4 out of 5

Needtobreathe was awesome! Improved communication would have made the event better. Ticketmaster had the time wrong on the ticket so we were an hour earlier than needed. This was a small theater venue which made for a unique and intimate show. (No seats- except for the balcony which they didn't open, and a couple of couches on the side, which we were fortunate to have taken advantage of.) A real treasure to be part of such a small group enjoying this popular band up close and personal! But we waited an hour for the doors to open (in the rain) and another hour before the first band hit the stage. (Unnecessary for this small a place!) Didn't particularly like that the place operated a full bar. (Irresponsible behavior could have really ruined the evening and I had 3 teens in tow.) The performance was personal and excellent and made the evening worth every discomfort. Band was SO appreciative of the audience.

  • Their music ROCKED!!!

by inlovewithneedtobreathe on 3/12/10State Theatre - St PetersburgRating: 5 out of 5

My husband & I just got married this past October. Earlier that year, we saw Needtobreathe when Third Day came to town and Needtobreathe opened up for them. WOW. They were so awesome. We bought their cd, shirts, you name it. We instantly were fans. They ALL have incredible voices. I love the lead singers raspy rock sound & his brother Bo is an amazing guitar player with an amazing, yet different voice. The lead singer was even sick and STILL played. He must have drank about 20 cups of tea during their set. We also LOVED Steven Kellogg & the S6xers. We DEFINITELY plan on following when they will be in town next as well. Thanks for the great show!

  • Great show in a small venue

    by coachshot99 on 3/12/10State Theatre - St PetersburgRating: 5 out of 5

The show was awesome. If they come anywhere near your town, and you like the southern rock (with a nice religious twist) style of music, you need to see Needtobreathe. Also, Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers were fabulous. Great band, great lyrics and very entertaining.

by singleanddiseasefree on 11/9/09Music Mill - IndianapolisRating: 4 out of 5

Never heard of them before, but went to the show anyways. I was extremely impressed. They are very talented with a southern rock sound.

  • by Anonymous on 11/8/09Music Mill - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

This was our first time to hear these guys and we were very pleased with the show. They put a lot of energy into their program and performed excellently. The light show was a nice complement to the music. I only wish my teenage children would have been able to attend. They would have loved it. I'm sure we will be hearing more from these guys.

  • Needtobreathe was incredible!

Incredible show! Absolutely amazing band and incredibly down-to-earth guys. Their smiles were contagious and their energy blew me away. I'm sure we'll see them soon at the Grammy's!

  • Awesome Show!

by Anonymous on 11/8/09Music Mill - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

It was a great show and the Music Mill is a nice venue.

  • NeedToBreathe was Great!

    by Phil34 on 11/8/09Music Mill - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

They put on a great show. Seem very humble. Covered Tom Petty's Wreck Me, and had a few short plays of CCR's Have You Ever Seen the Rain, Roling Stones' You Can't Always Get What You Want. High Energy band. Closed with a completely unplugged acoustic song (Something beautiful) I was 2nd row and will try to get the video I took up on Youtube. Search Needtobreathe "Streets of Gold" and "Lay Em Down" for the Music Mill in Indy on Youtube.

  • Needtobreathe was awesome

    by NDFAN03 on 11/8/09Music Mill - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

The opening act Red Moon was awful. The lead singer did not have a good voice and they were trying to be an imitation band, it was nothing original and was just awful. The Adam Ripp Band was really good. He had a blues/funk sound and I really enjoyed his performance. He kind of made me forget about Red Moon. Needtobreathe blew it away. They rocked it and it was a great performance. One of the best performances I have seen from a band in my life. You could tell they were having a good time up on stage and the audience was really into their performance

  • Needtobreathe knows how to rock!

As usually, Needtobreathe put on an amazing show. They are just a pleasure to watch! Thanks WTTS for bringing them back to Indy!
