Comedian Nate Bargatze’s clean-cut and relatable humor is why The Atlantic called him “The Nicest Man in Stand-Up.” The Nashville, Tennessee native and host of the Nateland podcast found his voice in the mid-2000s with regular appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Bargatze was featured on Jimmy Fallon's Clean Cut Comedy Tour 2013, three years after he was named “New York's Funniest Stand-Up” at the New York Comedy Festival. Since then, Bargatze has been selling out arenas on solo tours and in support of comedy icons like Chris Rock. Bargatze’s signature deadpan delivery was showcased in his 2021 Netflix special, The Greatest Average American, which earned a Grammy Award nomination for the coinciding comedy album. His 2023 Amazon Prime special Nate Bargatze: Hello World became the most-streamed original comedy special debut in Prime history — with 2.9 million viewers in its first 28 days — culminating in Bargatze breaking the attendance record for Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Bargatze hosted “Saturday Night Live” for the second time in fall 2024 and also co-produced a holiday variety special titled “Nate Bargatze’s Nashville Christmas” with Lorne Michaels. In May 2025, Bargatze published his highly-anticipated first book, Big Dumb Eyes: Stories From A Simpler Mind, which became an instant New York Times bestseller. Coming up for 2026, Bargatze will host his new comedy game show, The Greatest Average American, which premieres on February 25 on ABC and Hulu, and will star in the family-friendly comedy film, The Breadwinner, which is scheduled to be released on March 13.

Great show. Nate’s new material is hilarious. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.
I laughed so hard this entire show my face and abs hurt for 2 days! Loved the venue…had awesome seats! 10/10 entertainment for sure!
Nate didn't disappoint. Super funny and allows us to enjoy comedy without putting our christian values and morals into question. Meeting him and him being such a sweet down to earth man simply was the cherry on top. We will be continued fans for life and will always support him by purchasing the best tickets available to show our love for him. May God bless you Nate.
Such a great time, Nate is the funniest comedian alive right now
Nate was a really funny storyteller. His delivery of everyday nonsense was hilarious. And he uses clean humor: no profanity, no sex, etc.
All three comedians were laugh out loud funny! Funny for the whole family!
Balboa Theater is a great intimate venue to see stand up comedy. Nate didn't disappoint. Fun show and he even gave a local comic exposure before he took the stage. Five-star night.
Loved the entire show! Nate had us laughing until we were crying, my cheeks were sore afterward. It was a great way to spend a Friday night after the year and a half we've been dealing with. Can't wait for the next tour!
We had such a good time. Both of the opening comedians were hilarious and then Nate hit it out of the park with all new material. The whole event was the perfect length, not too long or too short, so you feel like you got what you paid for but didn’t get bored. It’s always fun too when all the jokes are clean and family friendly. Would recommend for anyone to go who can still get tickets!
Great show by Nate and the opening acts. Really had a great time. Funny without bad language or adult themes is hard to pull off but they did unbelievably well. All new material than the Netflix specials was great.
First time seeing Nate Bargatze live; what a great experience. He had 2 warm up comedians that were pretty good he had his friend a dwarf I’m sorry I can’t remember his name and he had another local guy from San Diego Dusty Preston maybe in any case I’m gonna look him up because he was quite funny hopefully he plays local venues. Nate has to be one of the best observational humor story tellers, points out the obvious and makes you laugh. That’s what we love about him, we lived his Scheels Sporting Goods story first hand in Montana! Keep it up Nate will see you again next time.
Great show! This included two comedians before Nate took the stage. All three comedians had great stand up routines. What was so impressive is the shows were just good clean fun! No swearing, no derogatory comments of any kind. Real class acts! So many laughs! Highly recommend this show for any age group!
Enjoyed all three comedians. It was a wonderful show!
I haven’t laughed like that in years! He’s simply a comedic genius
Loved this. Clean, self-depreciating humor is fun. His new stuff is just as good as his older material. Loved this show. And the Balboa theater is a great venue.
Nate Bargatze is the best! We laughed from his first line to the last…and as always, without any vulgarity or cursing. I’d recommend his show to anyone.
Took adult daughter, adult son and their significant others. Nate was sensational. Love his clean humor. We all laughed till we cried. He had great material, as always. The Balboa Theater, San Diego was a very nice, beautiful and safe venue. The health checks (vaccination proof or Covid test result) were easy—no waiting in line. We had the best night!
I love Nate’s humor and unique delivery. What a talented comedian who never seems to run out of hilariou/relatable comedy!
Venue was efficient, clean, and a great space. Performance was amazing!
Hilarious show! All three comedians. Lovely theater with a very helpful staff.
