About
Comedian Nate Bargatze’s clean-cut and relatable humor is why The Atlantic called him “The Nicest Man in Stand-Up.” The Nashville, Tennessee native and host of the Nateland podcast found his voice in the mid-2000s with regular appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Bargatze was featured on Jimmy Fallon's Clean Cut Comedy Tour 2013, three years after he was named “New York's Funniest Stand-Up” at the New York Comedy Festival. Since then, Bargatze has been selling out arenas on solo tours and in support of comedy icons like Chris Rock. Bargatze’s signature deadpan delivery was showcased in his 2021 Netflix special, The Greatest Average American, which earned a Grammy Award nomination for the coinciding comedy album. His 2023 Amazon Prime special Nate Bargatze: Hello World became the most-streamed original comedy special debut in Prime history — with 2.9 million viewers in its first 28 days — culminating in Bargatze breaking the attendance record for Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Bargatze hosted “Saturday Night Live” for the second time in fall 2024 and also co-produced a holiday variety special titled “Nate Bargatze’s Nashville Christmas” with Lorne Michaels. In May 2025, Bargatze published his highly-anticipated first book, Big Dumb Eyes: Stories From A Simpler Mind, which became an instant New York Times bestseller. Coming up for 2026, Bargatze will host his new comedy game show, The Greatest Average American, which premieres on February 25 on ABC and Hulu, and will star in the family-friendly comedy film, The Breadwinner, which is scheduled to be released on March 13.

I have seen Nate 3 times live. Each show was great and better than the last. I laughed so hard at this show that my stomach actually hurt. I highly recommend this show for the whole family.

After the obligatory “pandemic scheduling shift” and watching his Netflix specials for the umpteenth time, the night finally arrived. And man, did Nate deliver! My wife and I laughed hysterically throughout the 45 minute set of BRAND NEW MATERIAL! He was hilarious! We’ve seen a lot of comedians in the past few years. NONE could hold a candle to the effortless, timely and absolutely relatable commentary Nate provides. He’s well on his way to being acknowledged as a comedy genius. We can’t tell enough people about him. If you haven’t seen one of his specials, heard his podcast or have seen him live, you’re missing a real star in the making. Can’t wait for his next Netflix special!

I didn’t realize there was a slight sound issue in the beginning since I was up front. Issue fixed, comedian made the place explode in laughter with a joke on the situation and the rest of the event continued to be awesome. Hotels, food and bars nearby. Would definitely like to see Nate again and would see future events at the Saenger in Mobile.

The venue was beautiful, and it was easy to see and hear Nate and both of his openers, who were also fantastic. Well worth waiting 2 years. Would have loved another hour worth of material.

The VIP Experience was excellent also as Nate took the time to talk to each guests, sign what you wanted, take photos on your phone, and provide a gift. In our case it was a set of refrigerator magnets (4 of them). This is second time I’ve done the VIP experience and I would say it is worth it, esp. sitting on second row, dead middle!
