About

Comedian Nate Bargatze’s clean-cut and relatable humor is why The Atlantic called him “The Nicest Man in Stand-Up.” The Nashville, Tennessee native and host of the Nateland podcast found his voice in the mid-2000s with regular appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Bargatze was featured on Jimmy Fallon's Clean Cut Comedy Tour 2013, three years after he was named “New York's Funniest Stand-Up” at the New York Comedy Festival. Since then, Bargatze has been selling out arenas on solo tours and in support of comedy icons like Chris Rock. Bargatze’s signature deadpan delivery was showcased in his 2021 Netflix special, The Greatest Average American, which earned a Grammy Award nomination for the coinciding comedy album. His 2023 Amazon Prime special Nate Bargatze: Hello World became the most-streamed original comedy special debut in Prime history — with 2.9 million viewers in its first 28 days — culminating in Bargatze breaking the attendance record for Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Bargatze hosted “Saturday Night Live” for the second time in fall 2024 and also co-produced a holiday variety special titled “Nate Bargatze’s Nashville Christmas” with Lorne Michaels. In May 2025, Bargatze published his highly-anticipated first book, Big Dumb Eyes: Stories From A Simpler Mind, which became an instant New York Times bestseller. Coming up for 2026, Bargatze will host his new comedy game show, The Greatest Average American, which premieres on February 25 on ABC and Hulu, and will star in the family-friendly comedy film, The Breadwinner, which is scheduled to be released on March 13.

  • Great Venue, Great Show

by MikeVA on 11/25/25Spectrum Center - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

We saw Nate in Charlotte, and not surprisingly, he was great. Julian McCullough was the host, and he was also great. The special guests were also pretty good, especially Nick Thune. (he was very good). We enjoyed the venue, especially the large jumbotrons above the stage, which allowed you to easily see the comedians facial expressions. It was an awesome evening.....except for starting 35 minutes late. If people can't get in their seats by the posted start time, that should be their problem, not everyone else's.

  • Great show!

Loved seeing Nate Bargatze and the other comedians, including Julian McCullough Joe Zimmerman and Steven Rogers. Great show!

  • We all need to laugh!!!

by CJ on 11/25/25Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 5 out of 5

WE loved everything about this! Every person involved in his "group"were WONDERFUL. Our world right now needs more kindness and laughter. My father and sister happened to be in town for this performance (we had purchased the tickets 9 months before the event.). My mother has recently passed and it felt so good to get my dad out and bring joy!!! Thank you Nate for spreading smiles!!!

  • It was a really great time!

by Becca on 11/25/25Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 5 out of 5

We had the best time! We couldn't stop laughing! We loved that all of the comedy was appropriate for all ages and not cringy at all!

The show was a very family funny event . I thought there was one to many beginning acts. But other than that it was a fun night !

Nate is always so funny, loved the Host, not so crazy about his Special Guest

  • So fun

First off the Wellness Arena is a nice venue. The show was fantastic. The beginning acts were super funny as well.

  • Had fun love Nate

by Blopsivb on 11/25/25Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 3 out of 5

Loved it but I think I heard half the material prior on TV.

  • A great time, but skip the opening acts!!

by Christi on 11/24/25Spectrum Center - CharlotteRating: 4 out of 5

I am very glad that the material did NOT mirror his book of the same name, because I did not think the book was very good. Nate was super funny, as expected. There's no nice way to say it; the opening acts were terrible. They were pointless, monotonous, boring, and NOT FUNNY. One guy went on and on and on about bird calls, another one talked about standing in line at the grocery store while he randomly strummed a guitar. Nate was the saving grace!!

  • Hilarious!!

by Bethany on 11/24/25Spectrum Center - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

Nate is amazing! SOOO funny. Couldn't stop laughing from the moment he started. His MC comedian of the night was hilarious too.

  • Nate Was So Good!

by David on 11/24/25Spectrum Center - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

Nate Bargatze was hilarious! We thoroughly enjoyed his comedy and the laughs which we needed with all that's going on. The other comedians, especially the moderator and the guitar player/comedian were also great! Plus, they all worked clean which is hard to do in the comedy world.

  • Hilarious but line to get in too long

by Sarah on 11/24/25Spectrum Center - CharlotteRating: 4 out of 5

The show was hilarious! Great date night experience. Plenty of food and drink options open inside. However stood in line outside to get in for 45min; got there 30min early and was still late. Spectrum center should be better than that!

  • Very Funny & Clean

    by Chris K on 11/24/25Spectrum Center - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

First time seeing Nate - his act and the starting comedians were all totally clean (which I didn't realize until after the show) - I don't think there was one cuss word. Which is remarkable in a comedy show - no politics - just good clean fun - there are also a few kids in the crowd. It's amazing they can keep you laughing for 90 minutes! Highly recommend

  • Fantastic show!

by KK on 11/24/25Spectrum Center - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

Took my husband for his birthday because he is a big fan and we had a great night. Nate was hysterical!

  • Nate was fantastic!

by Marsha on 11/24/25Spectrum Center - CharlotteRating: 4 out of 5

I give Nate a 5. Audio in the Soectrum Center was a 1. Did they not do a Mike check and realize the echo was so bad?

  • 110% Recommended

by ArtfulSquirrel on 11/24/25Spectrum Center - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

No-stop. Laughter! I’m sure Nate works hard, but his delivery is so natural!!! This was a special night celebrating my husband’s birthday and restored health after a tinnitus year and a half. Couldn’t have been a better celebration together. We very much appreciate his clean humor. Continually proves you don’t need to be vulgar to be hilarious! Keep it up, Nate. We are so grateful for you and how you share your gifting!

  • Amazing night!

by Merri on 11/24/25Spectrum Center - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

Our night out at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte to see Nate and friends was fantastic! I can't say enough good about the employees at the Spectrum Center first off. They were all so helpful and polite. Whoever is the manager should be very proud of each and every one of them. We were approached multiple times by friendly offers to help us find our seats and food/drinks. We were surprisingly upgraded to floor seats which made the night even more special! The show itself was fantastic with several openers and an MC who was extremely funny with his crowd work. Nate was amazing and seems just as humble and happy to be there as he seems on television. I bought the tickets a year in advance and it was worth the wait! Go see him!
