About

Comedian Nate Bargatze’s clean-cut and relatable humor is why The Atlantic called him “The Nicest Man in Stand-Up.” The Nashville, Tennessee native and host of the Nateland podcast found his voice in the mid-2000s with regular appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Bargatze was featured on Jimmy Fallon's Clean Cut Comedy Tour 2013, three years after he was named “New York's Funniest Stand-Up” at the New York Comedy Festival. Since then, Bargatze has been selling out arenas on solo tours and in support of comedy icons like Chris Rock. Bargatze’s signature deadpan delivery was showcased in his 2021 Netflix special, The Greatest Average American, which earned a Grammy Award nomination for the coinciding comedy album. His 2023 Amazon Prime special Nate Bargatze: Hello World became the most-streamed original comedy special debut in Prime history — with 2.9 million viewers in its first 28 days — culminating in Bargatze breaking the attendance record for Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Bargatze hosted “Saturday Night Live” for the second time in fall 2024 and also co-produced a holiday variety special titled “Nate Bargatze’s Nashville Christmas” with Lorne Michaels. In May 2025, Bargatze published his highly-anticipated first book, Big Dumb Eyes: Stories From A Simpler Mind, which became an instant New York Times bestseller. Coming up for 2026, Bargatze will host his new comedy game show, The Greatest Average American, which premieres on February 25 on ABC and Hulu, and will star in the family-friendly comedy film, The Breadwinner, which is scheduled to be released on March 13.

  • Laugh till you cry

    by Dianne T on 11/30/25Charleston Coliseum - CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

Best comedy show ever. So happy the tour came close to us. Only 90 minutes to Charleston WV and we had the best time. Laughed till we cried. Came with friends and everyone loved it.

  • Nat was Killer! But...

by Dr. Gadget on 11/30/25Bon Secours Wellness Arena - GreenvilleRating: 5 out of 5

No one advertised that the show would have a joke-cracking "Master of Ceremonies"and three, yes three, opening comedians, one after the other, with the MC filling in the gap between each act. The venue was packed by 2:30 for a "3:00 show,"and Nate finally ambled out somewhere around 5:15 or so.

  • Best comedian ever!

by Randy on 11/30/25Charleston Coliseum - CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

I thought he would repeat some of his material from his other shows that were on Netflix and Prime. Not that it would bother me, but I was so impressed that Nate used all different material. He's the funniest comedian that I ever heard. He also keeps it clean.

  • Nate Bargatze Big Dumb Eyes Tour

by Bobbi on 11/29/25Moda Center - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

We loved the opening acts to Nate’s show, his host, and his comedy show! In Portland, it felt safe around the event center and we had easy access to transportation. A very fun Mather/son weekend!!

  • Nate was fantastic

by Great show on 11/27/25Charleston Coliseum - CharlestonRating: 5 out of 5

Show was fantastic but actually getting into the show was a horrible experience it took over an hour which to me seems ridiculous. And I'm talking after we parked.

  • Nate the GREAT!!

by HLD on 11/27/25Spectrum Center - CharlotteRating: 4 out of 5

All of the comedians were funny, and Nate B. was more than fantastic, as I knew he would be! We did not stop laughing for a minute!! But, the new seating at the Spectrum Center arena eliminated one of our seat assignments and the process to make it right was exasperating, time consuming, extremely unprofessional and ridiculous. The tickets I purchased were close to the floor and very expensive. It took nearly an hour to resolve the issue, along with a dozen or more of other ticket holders nearby and we were forced into missing the first part of the show well we stood around in a crowd awaiting resolution. This was a birthday celebration for my daughter and myself and had the performances not been so good, we would have really been extremely upset with the situation. Bad enough as it was but the comedy made up for it, although I paid way too much for these tickets to have experienced what we did. The seats we were reassigned to were nearly at the top. So I wasted ALOT of money as it turned out.

  • My cheeks hurt from laughing!

Amazing show! Nate and his friends knocked it out it the park!

  • Entertainment great but late start

by Steph on 11/26/25Charleston Coliseum - CharlestonRating: 4 out of 5

Great show from entertainers once it finally started. Show scheduled for 7:00 per my tickets. Show did not start until after 7:30. This must have been intentional because at 7:20ish a 10 minute countdown came on big screens. Even then there was a wait for an actual person to show up on stage. The wait might have been tolerable if the venue was not so COLD. The temperature inside required that you wear a coat to be comfortable. This was second time in 2 weeks I have attended an event there and temperature very cold both times. As I said, the entertainment itself was top notch.

  • Nate and his openers/host were incredible.

Nate Bargatze is the best! My spouse and I laughed so hard and talked about the show all the way home.
