Nashville Predators History
The Predators joined the NHL in 1998 during a two-year expansion that saw the League add the Atlanta Thrashers, Columbus Blue Jackets and Minnesota Wild. The team made its first trip to the Playoffs during the 2003-04 season, and proceeded to make the postseason six of the next seven seasons. Nashville won its first Playoff series against the Anaheim Ducks in 2011, and returned to the second round again the following spring.
Two seasons later, with Peter Laviolette as Head Coach, Nashville began their four-year run as a Stanley Cup contender. With P.K. Subban arriving ahead of the 2016-17 season to anchor the defense, the Preds upset the Chicago Blackhawks, St. Louis Blues and Anaheim Ducks in consecutive Playoff series to reach the 2017 Stanley Cup Final. That streak had two distinctions: It was the first time a No. 8 seed knocked out a top seed (the Blackhawks) and the Predators became the first team in two decades to win 10 consecutive home Playoff games.
Facing the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Stanley Cup Final, the Preds lost the first two games before storming back to take Games 3 and 4. After a decisive Pittsburgh home victory, the Penguins prevailed 2-0 in Game 6, with both goals coming in the final two minutes.
Filip Forsberg, who re-signed with the team for eight seasons in July 2022, is the Predators all-time leading scorer. Roman Josi, Pekka Rinne, Mike Fisher and Steve Sullivan have all won NHL awards, while Josi, Rinne and former captain Shea Weber have the distinction of being NHL First-Team All-Stars for the club. The Nashville Predators have made the Playoffs 15 times in their 24 seasons.

Took the WIfe and Kids had a great time and was a great game
I always enjoy watching the Predators!!! Rinne rocks!
This was my first hockey game. I bought tickets because my nephew turned 13 and his only birthday request was to get to see the famous Canadian Canucks after knowing that so many of them had gone to the Olympics. So we bought enough tickets to take the whole slew. :) We had a great time! The game was awesome and the view from the third section was still great! We were afaid that having 'nose bleed seats' would keep us from being able to see and enjoy the game. That was not the case. We had a great view and a great time!! Thanks. OH, we wanted to see the Predators too, of course!!!
Food choices are great, but had to wait too long for Philly Cheese Steak (I would drop those as most want food fast, particularly those waiting behind you). The entertainment during the game and in between periods is great. Kids love it and parents love it. Great family day out.
I love the Predators and enjoy them each time I see them in action . I wish we had won yesterday but, they still played well. Hopefully there will be a Stanley Cup in the future.
This was our first time at the Sonnet Center to watch the Nashville Predators vs. the Canucks. We are avid SHARKS fans who moved to TN from San Jose, CA, are want to watch NHL hockey again. We really enjoyed the game but we need a penalty clock posted so we can know when the violators return to the ice. My husband enjoyed watching the Predators ice skaters Gals. The Sonnet Center is a very nice building for a venue. Had a very good time.
It was great. The seats were wonderful. However, I would recommend that there is some type of explanation around All you can Eat zone. We were not aware that we purchased this until after we bought something to eat. A little more explanation would be great when this area is sold.
Would of been better if they had won. ;-) My only issue, be nice if people were not allowed to get up and down and up and down in between plays. There are plenty of breaks in hockey, so as to avoid people getting up and down in the middle blocking views of others. But thanks for a good time!
This was our first Preds game and we had a blast. Just wish the Preds had won!!!!
This was my first live hockey experience. I say experience because it was more than just a game or sporting event. I purchased the McDonalds Family Four Pack and took my son for his 16th birthday along with his friend and my teen daughter. Needless to say all the kids think I am the coolest mom! THANKS PREDS!!!
Great game, great seats. The only thing that could have been better, a win.
I was there to see a friend play for the Kings and I must say I always enjoy watching games live in Nashville. They know how to have fun! I have been to many NHL rinks in my day and Nashville is always near the top for excitment!
This was the first NHL game that I have been to and we really enjoyed it. The food was great and the entertainment was good. I enjoyed the dancing guys! That was a good change of pace.
Predator game are always amazing... so much fun!!! We have sat at the top and on the front row and have decided that there isnt a bad seat in the house. Great for date night and for the whole family.
Took my mom and all my family to the game. Several had never seen a hockey game. We all had a blast!! Thanks for the great price on good tickets.
It was awesome great seats...just awesome experience
It was the first time I had ever been to a hockey game and I had a blast. Nashville lost but I had a wonderful time. I am definetly going to go back soon.
My first time to a pro hockey game. Great action, Great seats, Great parking. Parking too high priced .
Parking was a breeze and was inexpensive. Entering the arena and finding our seats was very easy. The game was nearly sold out and the crowd was great. We sat up pretty high, but it didn't feel like we were in the 'nosebleeds', although sitting near center-ice always helps. After the game, entertainment was right across the street with plenty of bars with live music. Had an outstanding evening.
The game was close, so it was exciting. The ushers and food servers were friendly and helpful. We bought the upper level tickets with that included a buffet. Overall this was a good value. It would be helpful if there were some food caddies to help carry the food back to the seats.
