About

The all-new, live stage show "MythBusters Behind the Myths," starring Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage, co-hosts of the Emmy-nominated Discovery series MythBusters," promises to be an unexpected evening of on-stage experiments, audience participation, rocking video and behind-the-scenes stories. For the first time ever, fans will join Jamie and Adam on stage and assist in their mind-twisting and not always orthodox approach to science.

"MythBusters Behind the Myths" brings you face to face with the curious world of Jamie and Adam as the duo matches wits on stage with each other and members of the audience.

Myth Busters were so much fun!

by trellebelle on 3/18/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

My son said it was the best night of his life. We so enjoyed every single second. From Buster getting "blown up" to the Q & A session that both Jamie and Adam did, it was an absolutely great show.

Jamie & Adam put on a great show!

by mmmdhall on 3/18/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

It was kind of surreal to see Jamie and Adam in person, after seeing them on television so many times over the past decade or so. Both seemed very excited to be here and very personable when they were taking questions from the audience. It was also great that both kids and adults were able to go onstage and participate. It wasn't so much a repeat of Mythbusters as a glance into how Jamie and Adam's minds work. It was great and we'd love to see them in person again sometime if they ever come to Detroit again!

    Mythbusters - lots of fun

by msmapson on 3/18/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Really enjoyed this. If anything, too short. Wanted to see more. At one point, they asked everyone to turn their phones off because they interfered with one of the effects. There must still have been some interference, because it didn't do exactly what they wanted.

Surprised my husband, niece and nephew with tickets to this event and we were all thrilled by the experience! Jamie and Adam did a fabulous job keeping the audience entertained and attentive...great experiments and science lessons, along with clips of their TV show and Q & A! Thank you for such a special treat!

    Mythbusters Rocks!

by TEKBEAR on 3/18/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

I was very pleased with the show. Seeing Jamie and Adam live was a treat. The combination of entertainment and science made it worthwhile. The unfortunate thing was that I was in the nosebleed section and it was very difficult to hear, although I got the gist of it. I recommend a thorough sound check in each venue so that all paying customers can hear everything.

    it was good

by bamwi on 3/18/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Jamie and Adam were entertaining. However, I'm glad I didn't get the more expensive seats. We were in balcony B. Kids/families would enjoy the show. It had some humor and the answered questions from the audience which was okay. I don't know if I'd see them again.

    VERY DISAPPOINTED

by Suzannee on 3/18/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

I cannot believe that they did not have screens so that the people sitting higher up could see them. It was difficult to see them. The sound was very poor. I was not very amazed by what they did on stage or their question/answer period. Could have been so much better--for what I got for my money....BAD!

Husband & sons will talk about this for years

by sus1264 on 3/18/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

This was a great show. We were not quite sure what to expect since they couldn't run this like the television show. They were able to make it fun, exciting, and informative with audience participation.

    Behind the Myths Tour Detroit

by fan4life77 on 3/18/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

The venue (The Fox Theater in Detroit) is by far my favorite venue in Michigan - which always makes a show that much more enjoyable! The Tour itself was very entertaining and unique from my regular type of show! Really enjoyed it and highly recommend it for anyone who watches the show and/or has elementary school/middle school kids... very educational!

    Disappointing!! Wasted Money!! BORING!

by Notthatday on 3/18/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Way too much talk!!! TWO 15 min Q n A sessions. ?!? Answered questions at length. They like to talk about themselves. So boring!! One of my kids fell asleep!! 20 min intermission. No Myths. More like 3rd grade science lecture. Lame 'activities'. 2 didn't work at all. One was finale!!! Major Fail!! How bout testing?! My boys said they wished I could get my money back. BORING lots of clips from show to fill time.

    Worth every penny

by misty43 on 3/18/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

The show was well done and kept moving. It was very interactive which made everyone feel like they were a part of the show. Even when one thing didn't go quite as planned, they just kept going and didn't miss a beat. Great job to the guys and crew!

    The 'busters did not disappoint

by MrIncredible on 3/18/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

It's hard not to love a show when you are a huge fan, plus you get to sit about 8 feet from the stage, PLUS you get called onto the stage to help with a demonstration. So there's my disclaimer - it was about a perfect night for me. The Fox theater is small enough venue that I am fairly sure no matter where you were sitting you would be able to see, but where I was, in the orchestra pit, was priceless. There were a couple of technical glitches, perhaps to be expected in a live show of this magnitude. The paintball machine gun did not work, which really bummed me out, but I don't think anyone left disappointed because there was so much else. If you have an opportunity to see this show, do it!

    Mythbusters - Live Comedy/Magic Show

by Schmucker on 3/18/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

My 9 year old thought this was the best show ever. I felt that it was a good show, lots of audience interaction. It was a cross between a improv comedy act, and a Magic show where they tell / show you how the tricks work. We all wanted some kind of blowing "Stuff" up.

Great Mix of information and Entertainment

by BusterFan on 3/18/12Fox Theatre - Detroit

Adam And Jamie Were very personable and entertaining. The Audience Participation led to some of the funniest moments. The opening monologue had them explaining how the show got started and what they were going to do during the show. The show consisted of Monologues By Jamie or Adam or both. QA by the audience for both, Audience Participation skits, and skits by Jamie and Adam. The skits were not 100% successful, but some of the fails were actually more funny then if they had succeeded. Overall, If you are a Mythbuster fan you will very happy with the performance.

    Not worth the ticket price

by Anonymous on 3/18/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Good show, but not worth the money. If price was half the amount, then it would have been worth it.

    Fun night

by wefamlee on 3/18/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

We had a really fun time at this event. The guys are just what they seem on the show. Very funny and likable. A little geared towards children & we were a couple out for an evening but still really enjoyed it. Had drinks & munchies @ Hockeytown Cafe afterwards. Easy parking.
