    Mythbusters at the Fox

by JMWJR111 on 3/19/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Very disappointing. The acoustics when seated in the balcony were poor. Missed many of the lines and dialogue. Not enough action to keep us interested. Seemd more like a tribute to the cast than a form of entertainment

It was better than I thought!

by AuntiMimi on 3/19/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

I was wondering what kind of show they would have as the stage is not condusive for their typical myth bustng. It was done really well! It was great how they had the audience so involved in the show. Great to see Jamie and Adam in person... oh and Buster too!

    Very Funny!

by boogiegirl107 on 3/19/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

I did expect some myths to be busted onstage, however it was more of a behind-the-scenes look at the science involved in their myths. They included a lot of volunteers from the audience and had question-and-answer sessions as well. Adam was hilarious! We enjoyed it :-)

    Show was lacking excitement

by Brelyn on 3/19/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

We love Adam and Jamie, however it's hard to do what they do so well, on stage. Paintball gun did not work and the Buster blow-up was lame. The show was for a very young audience, not for my 14 year old son. For those reasons, I would not recommend the show.

Mythbusters - Like visiting with Friends

by JandFam on 3/19/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

The show was pretty good - my son (age 11) is a huge fan and we surprised him and my daughter (age 8) with going to the afternoon show. We have watched the show for so long, that it feels like we know Adam and Jamie personally and they behaved exactly like they do on the show with Adam being the goof ball and Jamie as the serious knowledgeable type. Some of the show was a bit slow for the kids - I enjoyed the Q&A portion with each of them, but the kids got a bit antsy. Their last schtick with the paint ball gun didn't work which was a little disappointing, but overall it was a great show and well executed with lots of audience participation.

    Mythbusters show was merely ok.

by Broglz on 3/19/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

We didn't know exactly what we would be getting with this show, but it did provide a little entertainment and a decent amount of background information. Overall, the show was ok, but definitely not as entertaining as we had hoped it would be. The show started about 20 minutes late, which was indicative of the entire evening. The intermission also ran long.

Only for parents with children up to 15

by SpecialFX on 3/18/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

The show was great to engage the young. If I still had a child, we would have enjoied the show immensely. However, I have a 25 year old adult son. We expected a little pizzas. I went to Guy Fieri's show with my wife. It was a much more exciting show. It had supprises around every corner. Adam saved the day with his energy. The stage gags were old hat and could have been left out.

This was a different show considering they did not actually "bust" any myths. However, they did perform several interesting experiments and demonstrated some cool special effects. They utilized a lot of behind the scenes videos and you had the opportunity to ask Jamie & Adam questions. The tween boys in the audience were going crazy raising their hands.

    Beyond the Myths Tour

by LKPMEO on 3/18/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Unsophisticated and geared toward children. Only one segment had any educational value--ring the bell with the formula on the screen and different sized hammers; even then, one of the hammers broke. The 'audience interaction' took way too much time, and the folks in the back of the auditorium weren't even considered. Why take questions from the audience if no one else can hear them? Seemed more like an advertisement for their new website and TV show.

TOTALLY enjoyed Mythbusters show at Fox!

by MoistCake on 3/18/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

A friend & I brought 3 fifteen-year olds to the show and wondered if they were going to be too old for it. We were wrong! The boys laughed just as hard and loud as we did. The use of the screens, special effects & humor was highly entertaining. Q & A sessions were very interesting and gave the show a very personal touch, as well as hearing the behind-the-scenes stories the men shared. We loved how comfortable the men were on the stage and thought that the audience interaction and participation were fabulous. The show was a real winner!

    AWESOME!!!

by DebraElizabeth on 3/18/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

I didn't know what exactly to expect. I mean, how can they do what they do on TV and do it on stage? But what we got was awesome. Highly recommend...wish we had brought our 7 year old, he would of loved it!

The show was a lot of fun. It was mainly aimed at younger kids, but it was a lot of fun for me (in my mid-20's) because I've been watching the Mythbusters for 10 years now. Great time, between the clips played, the physics explanations, and the live demonstrations.

    Mythbusters: Can you hear me?

by larrysbk on 3/18/12Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

First of all, I want to say how great it was to see Jamie and Adam on stage. They performed a great show. Jamie is the boss and creative genius who started the success of Mythbusters but Adam is the chief spokesperson. Great job guys. HOWEVER...we could barely hear the performance in the upper balconies. It was bad. I was straining the whole time to understand what they were saying. Hey Fox, how about aiming some speakers toward the balcony next time!
