  • RHCP were insane

by NBurgie on 9/25/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

The festival as a whole was fantastic. Great bands throughout Saturday. Red Hot Chilli Peppers were unreal. They wrapped up the festival in fine fashion. The porter potty situation was out of hand with regards to the wait in the lines and certain porter potties overflowing. That was my only knock on the festival.

  • Music was Awesome, Service SUCKED!

    by MusicMadness13 on 9/25/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

The artists at Music Midtown did an amazing job! They were all entertaining and engaging! However...the customer service was TERRIBLE! The staff of the event was rude. The method for admitting people into the park was not well thought out at all. Due to the rain, their scanners weren't working so people with valid tickets were not getting in. This slowed things down a lot so we had to wait for an hour and a half, in the freezing rain, to even enter the park! I missed my favorite band, Weezer, because of this. They said the event would be held "Rain or Shine" so why weren't they prepared for the rain?! Finally, the lines for the bathrooms would last at LEAST 30mins...next year, they need to get more bathrooms.

  • great show!

It was fantastic. even on Saturday when it rained. I feel bad for the grass though!

  • by Anonymous on 9/25/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

All the performances I saw on Friday and Saturday were incredible. Cake, Phoenix, and Weezer put on especially amazing shows. The crowds and the mud on Saturday though made it really difficult to get from stage to stage in time to see more than a couple bands.

Janes set the stage, Kendrick stepped in then Chilis finished it off

  • Wet, fun weekend

by davejl on 9/25/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Great place to see bands I'd otherwise never buy a ticket to individually.

  • Where to pee

    by Bmulle2 on 9/25/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

More bathrooms and ways in an out of the park . Had to wait 3 hours to get in the park ,just to stand in line for 45 min to use the restroom.

  • Rainy but Amazing Weekend!

    by TimG67 on 9/25/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

So many great bands! The Neighbor hood was fantastic, the horn section of Capital Cities blew me away, The Chili Peppers and Jane's Addiction are always amazing, Weezer was the most fun, was very impressed by Imagine Dragons. Journey is just a glorified cover-karaoke group at this point, not bad at all, I did enjoy them, but they should never have been the headliner and given a 2 hour set list ; Queens of the Stone Age deserved far more time for their set!

Great event! Great line-up! EVEN with the muddy fields :)

  • Great performances but logistics need to be better

    by marebear07 on 9/25/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Most of the performances were very good, although Red Hot Chili Peppers (the headliner) had serious sound issues and it was very heard to hear and enjoy them. The biggest downside of the event was the line to get in. On the 2nd day, the line took at least an hour to get through, in the rain. I missed some of the performances I wanted to see because the line was so badly organized.

  • Best two days everrrr!

    by Teganlover2 on 9/25/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

This event was just awesome! Even though it rained the second day and it was extremely muddy, that didn't stop the fun! Made things even more epic in my book! The line ups this year were amazing!! I loved Tegan and Sara!!! I have to say capital cities was my favorite, the energy of both the crowd and the band were amazing! I've been having Midtown withdrawals. If you love to have a great time with friends and love music, this is the event for you! I'm deff planning on attending next year!! No doubt about that!

  • Once you were in, you were in!!

by Anonymous on 9/25/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Overall, the entire experience was absolutely unforgettable!! I loved the layout and the lineup this year was EPIC!! A couple of things were disappointing... First, the entrance to the Park was NOT EQUIPPED to handle 50,000 fans that bought tickets.. Because they did not plan well to admit that many people into the park, we missed the entire Weezer set!! Really suggest they plan better to accomodate that many people getting in, especially if they sell that many tickets!! Also, the sets were so close together, there was hardly time to leave one stage and get to another one before the band was already on.. On Saturday, we missed the first 2 songs from the Chili Peppers because Queens of the Stone Age were still finishing up, and we couldn't hear over them.. Allow more time between sets.. It's not like we were pushing the noise ordinance, the show was over by 11 p.m. Other than those few things, it was a great experience and I look forward to another killer lineup next year!!

  • Getting in the gate

by TinaMChr on 9/25/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

No problem getting in the ticket gate Fri. Evening HOWEVER Sat was quite a different story. My friends and I waited outside the park, in the rain, for 2HOURS! Tickets in hand we were told there was an issue with the ticket scanners(after waiting about an hour). Another hour went by and a very angry group that had paid for tickets were finally able to walk through the gate by showing the paper ticket(scanners still not in use). We missed 2 bands that we really wanted to see! One more thing, the portalet situation sucks!

  • Red Hot Chili Peppers were amazing!

by hcairo on 9/25/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Everything was great except getting in the gate on Saturday. Taking an hour to get in is not acceptable. This is the only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 stars.

  • Cake and Pheonix

by Kippydog on 9/25/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Love Pheonix - as always they gave an amazing performance. My favorite show was Cake - FUN! FUN! FUN!

  • by Anonymous on 9/25/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Jane's Addiction was best band I saw, followed closely by Queens of Stone Age and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Journey, Imagine Dragons were pretty good. Venue us still perfect and well-organized. Only disappointment was not being able to see Jane's Addiction and Cake because the were scheduled at the same time.

  • Festival is awesome (too long of lines though)

by Pauljak on 9/25/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

The lineup was awesome and the atmosphere as well. I love music festivals and Music Midtown lives up. However, please do something about the bathroom lines. 2-3 times as many bathrooms are needed. The food lines were also pretty long. Average bathroom line was 30-40 minutes. Average food line at 25-30 minutes. I also prefer the 2 stage format over the new 3 stage format.

  • Missed Weezer :(

    by Luna413 on 9/25/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 1 out of 5

Very disappointed to miss Weezer's entire set because the line to get in didn't move at all. Really poorly managed.

  • RHCP made the night as usual!

    by jenn5555 on 9/25/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

show was great, I did not like the 3rd stage this year because I had to miss some acts. I would have preferred only 2 stages and a few less acts.

  • Music Midtown Rocked!

    by Superman80 on 9/25/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I loved this concert! The enviroment felt great! Beer was a little pricey, but overall I would do it again in a heart beat!
