  • Best night Of my Life

by SgtDan on 9/26/11PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

After the concert ended I left only to find the roads that I was going to take shut down from a motor vehicle pileup, then in vain an attempt to re-route myself for an hour and a half before giving up finding another hotel for twice the price and getting my wallet stolen shortly afterwards. The 500m trip back to V.A. was only helped by not realizing my wallet was stolen till the ticker hit empty on my gas tank. All this being said, being 10ft from the stage when the Black Keys opened up and Coldplay rocked my world, And even getting my wallet stolen and the month's worth of hassle I'm going to do to get my ID's and Checking card back. I would do it all over again for another chance to see the amazing lineup they had, and Coldplay rocking Atlanta G.A. It truly was the best night of my life.

  • Black Keys owned it

by cecpadre on 9/26/11PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

The venue was great, the black keys were unforgettable. HOWEVER, THE WAIT FOR BATHROOMS WAS AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great Festival - We Want Another Next Year!

by Midtownian on 9/26/11PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Loved the festival. Black Keys, Coldplay and Band of Skulls were highlights, but great bands overall! Love the festival and would plan on attending if there's another next year!

  • COLDPLAY WAS FREAKING AMAZING!!!!!

    by Annabel23 on 9/26/11PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Hands down, one of the greatest concerts I have been to. All of the bands were freaking amazing, especially Young the Giant and Coldplay. I saw Coldplay during their Viva La Vida tour, of course it was amazing but this concert blew my mind. The balloons, fireworks, and the beautiful skyline of Atlanta made this a truly amazing night, one I know I will never forget.

Great concert. The highlight was Coldplay but the other bands were good as well.

  • COLDPLAY @ MUSIC MIDTOWN

by Sabrinapark on 9/26/11PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Black Keys, The Joy Formidable, and COLDPLAY - all absolutely AMAZING. Chris Martin's energy on stage is incredible and his drummer during Viva la Vida... speechless

  • THE BEST SHOW EVER

by Anonymous on 9/26/11PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

My only complaint is that the shows weren't more separated; I love Black Keys but Coldplay was so unforgettable that I barely even remember seeing the Keys!

  • by Anonymous on 9/26/11PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Welcome back Music Midtown! Coldplay was on another level and the Black Keys ruled. Loved Joy Formidable. Cage the Elephant was a disappointment.

Had a great time. Highly recommend this event to all those who love live music. Took the kids who are 11 & 7 and had a blast. Look forward to see what next year will bring.

It was great to see Music Midtown back in Atlanta!! Cage the Elephant & The Black Keys were awesome! Coldplay always puts on a fabulous show and they did not disappoint!! Hoping Music Midtown will become an annual event in Atlanta once again!

  • Black Keys Rocekd the House!!!

    by 1155 on 9/26/11PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

The Black Keys were the highlight of my experience. Although Coldplay put on a great show, they do not have the raw talent of the Black Keys. They were worth the price of the ticket. Coldplay had a great stage "act" with fireworks and light show. The event was well planned but could use more porta-toilets. These were well maintained with toilet paper and hand sanitizer; there just weren't enough of them.

  • Coldplay show was great!

by MEKHEK on 9/26/11PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Second time I have seen Coldplay. They won't replace R.E.M. but they put on a great visual, interactive concert. Would definitely see them again espically if knew they would play Trouble and Speed of Sound.

  • Midtown Band's Laid It Down!!!

by Treffer on 9/26/11PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Every band laid it down! I was really looking forward to seeing The Black Keys, Cage The Elephant, Young The Giant, and The Joy Formidable. I was not disappointed either! I was very impressed by The Constellations! Freakin Awesome!! The Joy Formidable blew me away to! That chick is freakin AWESOME!!! Manchester Orchestra impressed me as well. I like the sound of The Postelles. I really want to see these bands again!!! I wasn't really lookin to see Cold Play. I caught them when they first played here in Atlanta but they kicked ass as well. The stage show was impressive!

Music Midtown is now among my favorite concerts. All of the Bands preformed well and stayed fairly true to the schedule by starting and ending on time. The only trouble arose when one wanted to see Cage the Elephant and have a decent viewing of Coldplay. The crowd was crazy packed well before Coldplay came on stage, which can only be expected. My only complaint can only be attributed to myself for not dressing to be prepared for the chilly night that came.

  • Colplay was amazing and Peidmont was so relaxing!

by GeorgiaJosh on 9/26/11PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

One of the more relaxing one day fesivals I've been to! The line up was pretty good with enough bands you've heard of to make it interesting, but not so many that you feel rushed to go from stage to stage, which was nice. Band of Skulls was pretty good, Black keys put on a great show, and Coldplay wrapped up with an amazing show! Well managed and everything was kept on a tight schedule...almost too much so. Manchester united got done on the main stage and within 3 mins, Young the Giant had already started playing on the other. This allowed everyone to see more bands, which is good, I was just suprised at how there was NO dead time at all or competing acts.

  • Great show. Terrible facilities.

    by NS124 on 9/26/11PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

The line-up and concerts were great. The sound was fantastic. We sat in the back for the Coldplay show and the volume was still more than sufficient. I was surprised that even with one gate, we never had to wait to get in or out. Leaving after the show was a breeze; absolutely amazing given the amount of people there. The wait for a drink was minimal to nothing (even towards the end of the evening). My only complaint was the bathrooms. Toward the end of the evening, I waited over 1 hour to use the bathroom. Fights were breaking out. People were dropping trou literally everywhere because they just couldn't hold it anymore. I saw more of one stranger's who-ha than I ever wanted to. It's enough to make me not go back, unless there is some confirmation that the problem is being addressed.

  • Coldplay was amazing!!!!

by FitzMoles on 9/26/11PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Starting with the end in mind I can say that Coldplay was amazing. We sat on the hill and enjoyed the show from a distance. The sound was perfect and the interaction from Coldplay was great. Loved the tribute to R.E.M. Our ladies teared up on Fix You. The disappointment was from the audio on the Cage the Elephant set. Of course, there are never enough bathrooms and I waited in line for 20 minutes. I would have drank more beer but I dreaded the long waits and missing the music. Tons of great food and other vendors were available.

  • 10 Bands! Something for Everyone!

    by 12JoeBob13 on 9/26/11PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

The first band we caught was The Constellations. They put on a great show full of energy and plenty of verve. There was so much food and drink available we went to the Tavern and chowed down, kicked back and enjoyed some soda, shrimp, and sports. We left and came back in the evening for The Black Keys and Coldplay it was the fastest part of the day. Coldplay is a very prolific band, so I can't remember the exact setlist. Suffice to say they played the hits, plus some new cuts like "Paradise" I had not heard before

    by JDS1234a on 9/26/11PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome show. Wish they would have been able to play more. Many things I wanted to hear but that's what happens when you have a large popular library. Black Keys were great as well!
