Foo Fighters were excellent - overall a great day of music and I can't wait until next year!

  • Great Bands!

Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam, nothing more to say!!!

  • Good Venue

by Alibia on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

The aspects of the venue that needed improvement were: 1. Bathrooms were not maintained during the event. 2. No one told anyone to not smoke and it was disruptive. 3. MARTA was not organized. Trains did not run on time and escalators led you to a hazardous situation at the Midtown station. The staff was friendly and guided you where needed but they were overwhelmed with the crowd and could have used more help. 4. No crowd control. People seem to stay pretty civil but there were a few rowdy ones. 5. Friday was a tuff day to get there with the general commute. 6. Seating areas would be nice in addition to a few tents. 7. No wifi, seriously connections were jammed. No twitter hash tag, seriously? 7. Finale...why is Square, Google Wallet not used for payments to vendors. We are in 2012, ATM's are so last millennium.

The restroom situation was terrible. I missed a few shows waiting in long lines.

  • Pearl Jam was amazing!

by Errin on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Great performances by all the performers! Really good selection of food and beverages as far as festivals go. Where Midtown fell short was the restroom situation. A lot of improvement needed there. Foo Fighters lit it up, Ludacris brought the party of Saturday, Florence and the Machine was beautiful to watch. Pearl Jam playing was an absolutely perfect and beautiful experience. The crowd, the music and the general vibe during their performance is unlike any I have experienced before.

  • great weekend

by leprofatl on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Had a GREAT weekend! Piedmont park was a great location, there were plenty of ATMs, bathrooms, and food options. Will definitely be back next year if the line up is good!

  • Good show. Terrible event.

by BillyShlawDog on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

Pearl Jam was great, but the sound quality was lousy. Girl Talk was awesome. Never seen anything like it. Florence and the Machine blew me away. The event was totally overcrowded and disastrous. The lines for the bathrooms were horribly long. Even the lines for the food vendors were terrible. Most overly crowded train wreck of a festival I have ever attended. The City of Atlanta did a great job with blocking off streets and facilitating the use of public transportation.

  • Foo & PJ!

    by Rents42 on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

The bands we saw were amazing Foo Fighters & Pearl Jam both rocked. Reason for not 5 stars is the venue. They were not prepared for that many people. The lines for the few porta pottys they had were insane. Surprisingly there were plenty of beer vendors, no lines there. Bottom line they need to be prepared for the amount of tickets they sell.

  • Over Priced

by PaintedDaisie on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

$4 for 12 oz soft drinks or bottled water, only allowed to bring in 1 unopened bottle of water per person, $9 for small liquor drink, $10 for 16 oz beer.. Everything was completely over priced.. Paid $120 for 1 two day pass, wont be back

  • Foo Fighters brought it

by rockandrolllifestyle on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

As usual, the Foo Fighters put on a terrific show. Unfortunately, there were only allowed a 2-hour set, which is shorter than they normally play, but still had time to work in a few great covers (Van Halen's Everybody Wants Some was awesome) and got to most of the hits.

Foo fighters was great, but couldn't stand all the pot and cigarette smoke. There should have been shuttles from the MARTA

Great music, great venue, lots of food/beer stands as well as merchandise to look at. Only negative was the bathroom situation(45 min wait and overflowing on Sat). Also, wristbands for those over 21 would have been helpful. It's hard to juggle your food/drink while trying to pull out your license over and over (mild annoyance compared to the bathroom situation). All in all an outstanding weekend!

  • More bands please.

    by Tommy678556 on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

Went for day 1 to see the Avett Brothers (they were amazing). Overall, there were way too many people there for so few bands playing. When the Foo fighters were playing, the people who were outside of the fence (didn't pay to get in) could see and hear just as good as I could. I couldn't get within 100yards of the stage.

  • SO MUCH FUN!!!

by PanicPeople on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Midtown music festival was the bomb! Went to see Pearl Jam but really enjoyed the whole festival! Can't wait to go back next year!

  • what a let down

by tendress on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 1 out of 5

Sound system sucks. A waste of $100 for sure. The talent wasn't very talented. Foo Fighters completely let me down. Update the sound system and talent and i may consider coming back

  • by Anonymous on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

TI sucked but the Foo Fighters and Joan Jett rocked the house!

  • Foo fighters stool the show.

    by Khite100 on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Overall I believe the event to be a success. Lots of great bands filled with diversity. If you don't like crowds then stay away. Food selection was out of this world. If you craved they had it. I definitly recommend going next year!

  • Fluff

    by jlan13 on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam were the obvious highlights of the event. Perhaps next time a little better genre grouping. Saturday was a waste, saved only by the main anchor band. But that's not my biggest complaint. Getting to the park was ridiculous. Having a better method of transportation options besides walking a mile through a neighborhood destroying the environment with beer bottles and screaming kids at 11:30 at night would benefit both the patrons and the neighborhood.

  • Bands great, venue not so much

    by PJgirl2424 on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

Foo Fighters were amazing, and the first day was nice because it wasn't insanely crowded. But there were NOT enough porto potties for the size of the crowd on the second day. And also on Saturday the speakers on the stage for Florence + the Machine and later for PJ were broken. The sound was cutting in and out and for me, it practically ruined the PJ show. You couldn't hear anything! I would go back next year if they get 40 more bathrooms and improve the sound quality.

  • by Anonymous on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

The sound during Pearl Jam was really bad. I couldn't really hear the vocals and the speakers went in and out a lot.
