Perfect Weather combines with many great bands was amazing. I would go every year. Foo Fighters totally rocked the Friday night show and had great support from Joan Jett and the Avett Brothers. Pearl Jam did not disappoint and seeing Adam Ant again was priceless. Adding rap to the event seemed odd as but maybe only to me.

Spent Friday night and all day Saturday at Piedmont Park for Music Midtown. The venue is a great place for a festival. Two different stages alternating bands. Great variety of bands but if you want to be up close for a specific band you have to "camp" out or endure bands you aren't necessarily into. It would be nice if vendors could come into the crowds in front of the stages. Plenty of food and drink vendors, although a little expensive. Plenty of bathrooms but need some at bottom of hill.

  • Music Midtown is Back!

Thanks to the promoters for bringing back a major music event to ATL. The lineup was extremely solid with a great blend of artists, the food was delicious and the beer was cold. Overall tremendous event, could not be happier!

The Avett Brothers were absolutely amazing. Was a little disappointed with the Foo Fighters. With only 2 hrs to play,I would think that you would do less talking and more playing. Pearl Jam as usual put on an amazing show. Such good energy and a great crowd. A big complaint is that you have 50,000+ people and only like 50 restrooms. It sucks to stand in line for 45+ minutes and miss bands bc if this. Oh,and $10+ beers and $12-$14 mixed drinks. Way too expensive.

  • An EPIC night with Foo Fighters!!

So Music Midtown was back this year with my favorite folks headlining Friday night - FOO FIGHTERS!! First of all, let me say that I was incredibly impressed with how well organized and well run the festival was. The staffing was professional and friendly. The line up was amazing. The venue was completely perfect. The presentation - from merchandising and food vendors all the way down to the staging, lighting, and sound, was really superb. transportation via Marta was perfect and the city was, as always, so accommodating. The crowd was HUGE, very friendly, respectful of each other and super enthusiastic. The main attraction, Foo Fighters, put on yet another amazing show. In my admittedly biased opinion, they are the best live band EVER and that was probably one of their best shows ever. Dave Grohl is such a MONSTER front man and they just get tighter and tighter. Nothing compares to a FF show. Everything was so great. My only complaint isn't really even a complaint . . . but Atlanta does have a noise ordinance that kicks in at 11:00 p.m., meaning the guys couldn't play past that even though they clearly wanted to. They're known for playing 4 hours on a good night and Friday night could've easily been one of those nights.

  • Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam ROCKED!

    by Leila7137 on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

We had an amazing time! Wish it lasted longer. Want music midtown to get to where it was before. Other than that, would love to go to another and probably will next year.

I had a great time in Atlanta. The Music Midtown Festival's lineup was awesome (I came from New Mexico SPECIFICALLY to see The Foo Fighters)! The festival was well-organized and everything ran so smoothly. Thanks so much for a great first visit to your wonderful city!

  • Too much fun!!

    by DoBe4047 on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Favorites were Joan Jett, TI, Ludacris, and Girl Talk!! Would love to see Haim, Phillip Phillips, Mumford and Sons, and Dave Matthews next year! Would also love a three day festival but with more toilets and food stations. Very well run event!!

  • Joan Jett, Avett Bros. and Foo Fighters Rocked!

    by BeastH2A on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Just got back from our first Music Midtown Festival. Although it was great to see Pearl Jam on Day 2, and I was pleasantly surprised by Florence + the machine, Day 1 was without a doubt the best. Joan Jett, The Avett Bros. and the Foo Fighters rocked Piedmont Park!

  • Foo Fighters were amazing!

by Hudabo on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Great lineup of bands this year! Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam put on incredible shows. Also enjoyed Civil Twilight, Avett Brothers, Ludacris, and Florence and the Machine. Looking forward to next year!

The entire venue was awesome, great two days! Fans were great...happy and fun. Perfect location and time of the year for a outdoor concert. Red Hot Chile Peppers for 2013!

  • Music MIdtown is stepping on up in the world!

by GabbyR on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Overall, amazing weekend; this is my second year for Midtown. The only downside to the festival was the sound for Pearl Jam. It kept going in and out and I could barely hear anything Vedder was saying, singing, or playing for that matter. That's probably my only complaint! Great lineup this year!

  • A Legendary weekend

    by sensei1 on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome, Awesome, and more Awesome! I found new bands to start listening to. My favs to watch were Garbage and Foo Fighters, but all the acts were awesome and all sounded great on stage! If you ever go, eat BBQ! It was great and by far the best value for the money! The corndog costs were ridiculous!

  • by Anonymous on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Incredibly well-organized--with the exception of the bathroom situation. Fantastic shows, always on time, mellow crowd, contact high. I loved the eclectic lineup! Can't wait for the next one!

  • ...but it was all about Pearl Jam

by YonaBear on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Had a terrific time! Enjoyed Adam Ant a lot, and thought Neon Trees put on an especially exciting set. Of course Joan Jett and the Blackhearts rocked out. Last time I saw them was in '89 opening for Aerosmith! Foo Fighters kicked some serious culo; glad I got to see them. Avett Bros were super, and I enjoyed Flo+, but, in the end, that's right, it was all about Pearl Jam-and it was worth it, They did all the good stuff, and some tunes I was not that familiar with.Great set, great crowd, great weekend! Sure the potty lines were long on Saturday (not too bad Friday), and the lines for food were long as well, but, hey, it's a party! Enjoy the madness! And prepare for MM2013!!!!!

  • Good line-up but way too crowded

    by Sfgtd3 on 9/23/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

I enjoyed the headliners for both days but did not expect the number of people that would be attending the festival.
