  • FF and PJ rocked the house!

by KentuckyFriedRocker on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

First, the two headliners (Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters) did not disappoint. The feeling of pure electricity was in the air and on everyones tounges, it was impossible not to feel it. While FF and PJ were amazing, others acts I saw such as Avett Bro's, Ludacris, TI, Florence + the Machine also were very solid and had not it been for later acts would have been fine to stand alone for their own concert... luckily, you get more for your money when you go to "festival-type" deals. Atlanta is a beautiful city, the Delta Hub, and it was the best place to be last weekend :)

  • Music Midtown was Excellent!

by Midtwnguy on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

I didn't hit the show last year, but I'm sorry I didn't now. The organziation and planning was great. Didn't have any hickups with the VIP area and was great fun. The diversity of the show was cool. What a great Saturday evening in midown! I'm looking forward to next year already.

  • Crowded

    by georgiagirl927 on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

This is a wonderful venue with beautiful scenic views of mid-town. The bands were AWESOME, with a variety of genres and ages which seemed to appeal to all audiences. Negatives were by the time Pearl Jam came on Saturday night, the field was smootheringly packed! To compound this, I found myself having to use the restroom and was unable to even make my way/find a portapotty for about 45 minutes. By the time I made it to one, I was in serious pain. All-in-all the event was a blast with the exception of those two elements. Possibly place a cap on the ticket sales next year! LOVE ATL

  • Cool event and beautiful weather, but....

    by smitty0375 on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

it appears the organizers either A. way oversold the event or B. did not properly staff and equip said event. The bathroom line was 45 minutes long and everything took forever. My wife and I didn't drink anything after 5 or 6 (for a show that ended at 11) because we didn't want to spend the entire night at the portajohns. Having said that, most people were cool and the workers were doing the best they could. Pearl Jam was awesome.

  • Good show

by Gaislgrl on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

I only saw Florence + the Machine & Pearl Jam. Both were very entertaining. Florence & Eddie did a great job of keeping the crowd engaged throughout the show. The ATMs were all out of cash by Sat afternoon which was problematic.

All the bands were good just too many people. The bathroom situation was horrible. the closest you could get to the stage was 50 yds. Neon Trees was awesome.

Great bands, good sound, excellent staff. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

  • Perfect

Perfect day, perfect lineup, perfect setting!! The bathroom situation was bad....but really don't care since everything else was so good!

  • Pearl Jam & Florence and the Machine beyond words!

    by Lisalou1023 on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

The event was great. Loved the mixed crowd, amount of drinks. Needed more portable bathrooms. Ludacris was a huge disappointment. neon Trees was okay, don't even know what was going on with Girl Talk but wow, Florence and the Machine and of course Pearl Jam was beyond incredible. As always beautiful performances!

  • Pearl Jam rocked !

    by JES1335 on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Pearl Jam rocked the show as they always do. Wished they weren't limited in they're playing time. Shut them down at midnight. They normally play a longer show.

  • Great

    by PearlJamFan87 on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

I stood in front of the Electric Ballroom Stage for seven hours or more Saturday. Florence and the Machine and Pearl Jam was amazing. Plenty of food and drinks but of course everything was very expensive.

hope Midtown festival is back to stay!! my voice is still recovering

  • Pearl Jam is the best band by far!

by Pjtwentyfan on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Unforgettable! Check off pearl Jam from the bucket list!

  • Headliners were great, rest - not so much.

    by Firsttimer77 on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

Where were the relay stations? The sound quality in back was absolutely horrible. Foo Fighter and Pearl Jam were awesome, as expected. The other bands were merely ok, except for Girl Talk who was really good. There were a couple bands that were simply not up to the quality I expected to see at an even such as this, e.g. LP.

  • Great event in a great place

by lepongemagique on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Music Midtown Festival is rally a great musical event. Discover or rediscover bands you know or you've heard of. This WE the combination of the park and the weather was perfect! Do it again next year!

This event was worth every $$ spent. I can't wait to hear about the lineup next year.

  • by Goose456875 on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

Only had about 100 toliets to serve 40,000 plus fans. Not very fun when you have to wait over an hour to pee because you have to wait for 40 people to go before you. This was the last time i will be going to something like this.

  • by Anonymous on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Great music, but too many drunk jerks towards the end of the night for my liking though. I remembered feeling that way last year too.

  • Girl Talk!

by Selittlej on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

So much fun! There could have been more bathrooms in more locations but otherwise well done. The line to enter was chaotic so more gates would be nice also. The crowd was nice and the line up was interesting - something for most people. Girl Talk was a blast! I really enjoyed dancing!

  • Very well done!

by LongtimeDLfan on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Very organized. Great musical assortment. Food prices rather steep and thank goodness for water fountains to refill $3 water bottles on a hot day!
