  • Solid show

Overall a good show, the festival atmosphere was a blast, and the big names made for some excitement. A few performances were impressive (Foo Fighters, Girl Talk), but others left much to be desired. In addition the sound during Pearl Jam was dreadful, despite being fairly close to the stage and speakers. Oh well, it was still fun!

Music Midtown 2012 rocked (expect for the potties!). The day was beautiful, the bands amazing, the crowd amiable, and the experience not to be missed next year!

Last saturday I had the best day of my life! Neon trees are amazing performers and it was inevitable dancing to their songs. But what completely made my, and maybe even my whole life, was watching Florence and the Machine live. Florence is just the most incredible artist on the surface of this planet. At the end, the whole featival was amazing and I had a blast listening to the other bands. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had.

This was suppose to be a non-smoking event, yet there were no signs posted and there was smoking everywhere.

Midtown Music was unforgettable, such a good weekend, good crowds, good acts and good location. Shame about the $10 beers!

Ludacris showed ATL plenty of love. Pearl Jam rocked it into the night. Plenty of energy in the crowd all over, all day. As always Music Midtown is a great draw for any music lover.

  • PEARL JAM ROCKED

by JOBOS on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Festival was great. Food and beer prices ridiculous! And not enough bathrooms....But it was all worth it to see EDDIE VEDDER!!! Awesome!!!

  • Foo Fighters

    by zlford12 on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first concert, and it was by far the greatest experience anyone could ever have.! the Foo Fighters are one of my favorite bands, and seeing them live was breathtaking. Dave Grohl and the others were great performers, and put on an extremely entertaining show. They definitely know how to get a crowd exited, and the mojo they created flowed through everyone. I will make sure to always go to any Foo Fighters concert that comes near atlanta again.

  • Pearl Jam was amazing!

    by PJFan20 on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

We haven't been to Music Midtown in over ten years and it was absolutely amazing! Neon Trees and Florence + The Machine were awesome and Pearl Jam rocked the park. The location was perfect, the food was great and overall couldn't have been better.

perfect venue, great time of year, great spectrum of music available, really excellent layout -- everything well marked and staffed, price right on.

  • Listened Mostly From the Bathroom Line

    by QTip1031 on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

Awesome venue and really good band line up, but I stood in the endless bathroom lines all night. There were tons of portable toilets, but there were THOUSANDS of people drinking lots of beer. Add triple the toilets and I might come back next time. Otherwise it's not worth it. Maybe VIP would have been worth it for the bathrooms, but their view sucked for the money in my opinion. Pearl Jam rocked it out although I didn't need a lesson on GA voting laws from Eddie. Ludacris was my favorite band of the day. Still trying to figure out what Girl Talk was doing on his laptop as it sounded like the same set-list as all his shows.

  • Great mix of genres

by Anonymous on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

Only went for Sat. Luda was awful; didn't think there'd be enough room on stage for his ego & rap. Florence & machine was so energized! She sounded amazing. The Dj before pearl jam was dumb; why have a Dj remix that should be at a nightclub when I'm at an outdoor concert? Pearl jam was awesome! They really connected with the crowd, sang a wide range of their albums, and gave props to Security and the venue. Porta potties were absolutely disgusting. No lights. No cleaning- at all- by the end the toilets were literally heaped over. And toilet paper- forget about it. Men were peeing on trash cans while standing in line. True Horror!

Pearl Jam was awesome!!! Girl Talk was awful, an hour of my life that I'll never be able to get back.
