Too small for crowd of people. Sound quality wasnt great, a big disappointment.

Great turn out-- organized and clean. Crowd wasn't too crazy. Everyone was just there to enjoy the music and we did.

Had a great time. Foo Fighters was the highlight for me. Thank you for putting on a great event. See you next year!

  • Great Music- Horrible crowd

    by AlliB2009 on 9/25/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

All of the performers were amazing and put on great shows! Foo Fighters, Luda, TI, Florence + The Machine, and Pearl Jam were my favorites. The cons of the event are that the space was way too small for the >52,000 people who showed up. Also there were not enough port-o-potties for the number of people at the event. The lines for food/drink were very long as well. Without the logistical problems it would have been a five star event!

  • Music Midtown ROCKED!!!!!!!

The music lineup was amazing this year. Foo Fighters rocked the house, it was such an awesome show! Girl Talk was the highlight of Saturday night. Neon Tree's was a solid concert too. I can't wait until next year's concert :)

I thought everything was pretty good overall. I did have to stand next to several people smoking weed during the event but that is to be expected. I also wish civil twilight could have played a longer set. the crowd was wanting more but they were not allowed to continue playing. overall it was pretty awesome. cheaper beer prices would also be nice.

One of the best sets ever. I am a new Neon Trees fan, Florence and the Machine, Girl Talk and Pearl Jam were amazing!

  • Super VIP not worth the money!!!

by Anonymous on 9/25/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam were great! We bought super VIP tickets and were very disappointed in the viewing area for the bands. We bought them because they were advertised as "backstage" seating with indoor restrooms, drinks, and catered dining. The "backstage seating" was on the side of the stage about 50 yards at a very bad angle with a 6 foot fence you had to look through. Amenities were fab, viewing of bands just sucked and that's the whole reason we went!

The venue was set up really well so you didn't have to walk too far to the next stage and all of the bands were awesome! Money definitely well spent and will be going again next year. I reccomend taking MARTA though because parking is terrible.

  • Foo Fighters were AMAZING!!!

  • Great event!

by MVPJ on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Everything was good: bands, sound, logistics, food was surprisingly varied, tasteful, and not overpriced, beer, etc. with one very important exception: bathrooms. I get this is a massive event, but waiting 30 minutes in line? And quality of course was well below desirable. Again, music, food and drinks were awesome! Hope we can have another lineup like this next year.

  • get some effin port a johns

by hotnewsnowtoday on 9/24/12PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

The port a lets were over flowin. It took 45 mins to get through the lines. What a joke. You are making good money. Step up and spend some. Audio was also poor on Saturday.

Florence, LUDA,Girl Talk,TI,Neon Trees was like having your cake and eating it too.....the rest made it a complete meal

  • Music Mid-Town

Luda KILLED IT!!!! loved that I got to see a Luda hometown show. I got to see him get inducted in the Georgia hall of fame with Widespread Panic in 2008. One part of the day that I seriously disliked was the bathroom situation. not near enough outhouses for the amount of people that were there. I waited in line for a lil over a half hour, one time. a gal tried hitting on me to let her up in line w/ me even after i told her I was married. she was damn near crying she had to go so bad! PLEASE get more bathrooms for the event next year!! but PEARL JAM RAAAAAGED! ! ! ! ! ! haven't seen em since 2004 so I was waaaay over due!! thank you for having them play the festival, especially on saturday. we live in birmingham, al so to get to atl after work friday is tough. all in all my wife & I had a blast!! thanks again.

The bands were great, GirlTalk was ok, but that's them. I loved the increase in the variety from last year! It was great to hear some different sounds throughout the day. Florence and the Machine were great and so was Pearl Jam. If I could improve at all it would be an big increase in bathrooms. I waited 30minutes for a port-a-potty and the one a few down almost had a fight. It is a little ridiculous to have what seems like 45 stalls for 52,000 people. Where was that planning???
