  • Waste of money

by Anonymous on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 1 out of 5

On Saturday I waited in line for 2 hours even after getting there an hour early, missed Weezer (the main reason I wanted to go) and ended up leaving because I was so upset about the whole thing. One of the employees said that they oversold something like 1500 tickets and you could really tell. The lines for the bathrooms for unbelievable...it reminded me of bonaroo and not in a good way. The entire area was gross and people were peeing everywhere because the lines were too long and the bathrooms were disgusting. I loved music midtown last year and was excited to go this year but it was a huge bust for me...most likely won't go back next year...I plan on asking for my money back.

Excellent showing from all artists in attendance. The rain on the second day didn't matter, but the fact that I had to miss two bands play due to the several hour wait was very disappointing.

  • RHCP killed it, festival organization was terrible

by dudewithacar on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

It took 1.5 hrs to get in, by which I had missed Weezer which was very disappointing, they did a really poor job of organizing the line to get in, eventually people just started jumping the fence. this needs to be fixed for next year

  • awesome bands and great location

by tderi on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I came up to this festival from Miami and found it was pretty easy to get from stage to stage and you could hear music everywhere. The crowd had a wide variety of people which I also loved from little kids to older people, and all types of characters. I had a great time!

  • MM 13!

    by Brei13 on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

It was definitely a memorable event. Beautiful weather the first day, rainy and muddy the second. All the shows were great, stages were just far enough apart. Will definitely be going again next year.

  • Red Hot Chili Peppers rocked the house!!!!!!!

  • Ridiculous Lines and Bad Planning

    by HoboSue007 on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

Had two day passes. Friday was enjoyable - quick access, good bands and wonderful weather. Saturday was AWFUL. The entry lines were ridiculous! We waited in line for OVER 1.5 HOURS!!! WHY WOULD YOU USE 4 TURNSTILES FOR THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE??? GET YOUR SH** TOGETHER MMF! All the while watching event people let others cut in line and with a torrential downpour. Not sure if it was due to the rain, but the sound on Saturday was off too. And there was a short period when bands were playing right near each other. Come on guys. And it was so packed you could barely even see the SCREENS let alone the stage. So so so wish I could get a refund for Saturday.

  • Amazing artists & bands all in one place!

by shananaginss on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

It didn't matter what type of music you enjoyed there was something for everyone and you get to learn about new music you never even knew all while meeting new people who enjoy the same sounds as you. What could be better?

    by MMFan15 on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

  • Rockin' Mudfest

    by samd1 on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

The entire weekend was great! Cake, Arctic Monkeys and Phoenix were our favorites. And how can I leave out the Peppers? Fantastic. OK, so it was muddy and the potty lines were long, but hey, the tunes were thumpin........

  • Amazeballs

    by gtg795v on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Simply put, Music Midtown was amazing. Rain or shine, everyone on the bill was incredible and the headliners had some of the best stage production I've seen.

  • Great bands but poor management

by AtlantaSam on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

The bands were awesome and really gave some great performances however the management of the festival was poor. There were not enough port-a-johns for the crowd and there were only 3 gates for general admission so unless you got there 2 hours early, you missed the first few bands. Saturday was particularly horrible for that where most people I spoke to waited two hours in line only to get to the ticket checkers who were NOT checking tickets. Apparently the scanners were down so not only were they not scanning tickets, they were letting people in who DIDN"T EVEN HAVE TICKETS!!!! Why would they not open the VIP gates for general admission entrance when they saw how bad things had gotten. The food and beer were way over priced and the selection was poor.

Yeah yeah yeahs and red hot chili peppers were amazing. Would have given a 5/5 rating, but the line was completely retarded when I went and I missed capital cities and weezer because of it. Showed up at 215 and waited till almost 4 to get in, while it was raining outside. Then they decided to stop checking tickets so crowd after could get in quicker, which pjssed me off because I had to wait for no reason. Great shows, terrible line organization for the weather.

  • Why did it have to rain...

by Anonymous on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

The line up was amazing. The venue is really cool. The bands sounded good. But the group I went with had to leave early because of the rain :( Hope this comes back next year and is vengefully sunny!

  • Not how you want to see your favorite bands.

by BLQOTSAYYY on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

I am a HUGE Black Lips, Queens of the Stone Age, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs fan. To my amazement I was able to see all of these bands in the same day, which was great. However, the festival atmosphere only let each band play for 1 hour each, with ENORMOUS crowds -- so big you spend most of the time watching the megatron screen instead of the humans on the stage--, and the bands really only were able to fit in their biggest radio hits. So, this is not a great format in which to see your favorite bands, but if you don't know much about the bands and you just want a small sampling of what they are like as headliners in smaller venues, it might be fun to try.

  • More Restrooms!

    by MikeB2769 on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Everything was awesome, especially Imagine Dragons, The Neighbourhood and Queens of the Stone Age! However, the lines at the bathrooms were horrendous!! My only complaint!!

  • Fun mud bath

by KatSuburban on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Neg: not enough port-a-johns Neg: two stages playing at same time doesn't work Positive: fun day in the rain and mud with great bands, atmosphere and enough food and drinks for all :-)

  • by Anonymous on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

The music and festival are great but getting in was awful. There were not enough volunteers at the gates to get people in. It took almost an hour to get into the event.
