  • Great concert, but you'll wait for everything!

by Anonymous on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

Music Midtown 2013 was great overall. However, on Saturday, we had to wait for everything: bathroom, food, and even to get in the door. We had to wait at least 30 minutes in line for everything and we were in VIP.

We are from Miami, and drove all the way up to Atlanta for this festival. Rained all day...but so worth it!! It was amazing! We'll be coming up again next year.

Awesome. Loved the line up. Would've liked more rap/ hip-hop artists but other than that it was great!

Great lineup! Plenty of boos! Great time even with the rain!

  • Disgusting

by Jckx on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 1 out of 5

It's amazing how unprepared this event was on ticketing and bathrooms. We missed a concert waiting in line and was forced to walk trough and witness people peeing in bushes. My beer was a different price at every tent or stand alone and there was an overwhelming feeling of being unsafe at certain stages. I will not attend ever again.

All of the bands were fantastic. Too bad the main concert day was the one day this month it rained. But still a great time.

Hands down, best weekend of my life. I would recommend Music Midtown if you ever have the chance to go.

First time going to Music Midtown and it was so much fun!

  • improvements desperately needed

    by angiemc23 on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

Bands were amazing but the planning portion of the event - not so much. 1) not enough port-a-johns, lines so long we would miss most of a band playing. not enough time between bands to make a "run to the bathroom" 2) only one access into and from park. lines to get in were ridiculous, so it was not worth leaving and trying to come back. stood in line for an hour on saturday at 2 to get in. 3) lines for food were also terrible. all the food trucks were in one place that was narrow and crowded, whereas drink vendors were spread out throughout the venue. (of course) Put a lower cap on the number of tickets sold, or else provide more amenities!!

  • Why not wristbands

by SallyF on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

Despite RHCP leaving stage 15 minutes early and the torrential downpour, the concert was great! However, with the rain, intermitten scanning ticket outages, and droves of people waiting in puddles, why was this not set up like every other big name music festival...with wristbands?? VIP wristbands, General Admission Wristbands, even wristbands for those over 21 once they show their ID inside the venue...I think this would have improved the waiting in line for hours to get in experience. Otherwise, I'm a happy camper

  • euphoric and great atmosphere throughout.

Music Midtown was great- the bands were all amazing, the people there were nice, and everything was organized and easy to get to. Although it did rain one day, it didn't make the experience any worse. I would recommend this to anyone who likes to party and/or loves good music!

  • Loads of fun

by JCHOTSTUFF on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

This was the most fun I've had in awhile. The lineup was awesome, and the shows blew me away. You can never beat live music, and this was some of the best in the business. My only problem was all the rain and mud, but that didn't stop anyone and the show went on. It was also open venue, so I almost got to the front of the crowd several times, and was always at about 15 rows back with no complaints.

  • Lineup was great but......

by Anonymous on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

Music was great but lines were over an hour to get in and bathroom situation was awful.

  • Imagine Dragons Killed It!

by landmower on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Really great concert lineup! Even though it was pouring rain and the park was a mud pit it was still an awesome experience. Definitely would not recommend taking the kids there because they might get high from the secondhand pot smoke. One problem that could have been avoided would be the queue line to enter the park...we waited for over an hour, so get there early or you will miss some performances! Otherwise, it was a great festival with awesome artists.

Most unorganized festival I've ever been to. I had to wait in line for two hours to get into the festival. I missed two bands that I wanted to see standing outside. And to go to the bathroom was a 30 minute wait. I liked the bands that we're playing and the fact that it was in Atlanta but unless these problems are fixed, I would never go back again.

  • Great show, but plenty of room for improvement!

    by Dryicez33 on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

Great line-up, and midtown Atlanta is the perfect venue for a music festival, however, if you're going to build 3 stages and sell 55,000 tickets, there needs to be a show on each stage at all times! Often there was only one show at a time which made it terribly crowded at some of the stages. Also - need to work on the entry process. I shouldn't have to pay $50+ for a ticket, and then have to wait 45+ minutes just to get in!

  • Music midtown rained out

by Atlantavisit on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 3 out of 5

The bands were okay but they put two headliners on at the same time which sucked because it wasn't easy to see half of one and then run across the park to see the other one. The second day it rained all day! It rained to the point my friends and I were drenched through our raincoats. The port a potties didn't all have toilet paper and they were completely dark inside with no area to wash your hands - not even an outside station eww. The food trucks were great, I wish they had more tables.

  • Just alright!

by ArcFireFan on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

too many drunk people, the bathroom situation is still a problem, but the most disappointing part was the sound quality this year. At times the sound volume was very low, to the point that the crowd was asking to turn it up!

  • Didn't get to see the act I went to see

    by wmarema93 on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 2 out of 5

Absolutely insane lines. I went to finally see my favorite band for the first time ever, Weezer. I missed them. The rain delayed me, but I still arrived 45 minutes before Weezer's set, and didn't hear a single song. I was absolutely outraged with the lack of organization of the lines. People were cutting every which way and no one was directing anyone.

  • Awesome time

by Chiefgreen on 9/24/13PIEDMONT PARK - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

It was a great festival with a pretty great line up. They might need just more portapotties and maybe more food also, and just a little time in between sets so people can get to the shows. But over all it was a lot of fun and the music was pretty great.
