Mt. Joy on TourÂ
A five-piece indie-rock band from Los Angeles, Mt. Joy is known to give an impressive show and fans are highly anticipating their tour, which will span the United States. The 2022 tour will bring the same immersive show that fans know and love. The band is known for their incredible live sound, as well as their mesmerizing use of lights and visual effects. The tour is in support of their third studio album, 2022's Orange Blood.
Mt. Joy Live in ConcertÂ
Mt. Joy is an indie rock band based in Los Angeles by way of Philadelphia. The band features Matt Quinn on vocals and guitar, Sam Cooper on guitar, Sotiris Eliopoulos on drums, Jackie Miclau on keyboards, and Michael Byrnes on bass. The band was formed in 2016, releasing their first single, "Astrovan," recorded in Los Angeles by Quinn, Cooper and Byrnes.Â
The two original band members, Quinn and Cooper, met in highschool in Philadelphia. After parting ways for some time, the two reunited in 2016 in Los Angeles and began working on music right away. The pair recorded their first single, "Astrovan," with the help of future bandmate Byrnes, who they met on Craigslist, and Byrnes' roommate, producer Caleb Nelson. In 2017, Mt. Joy signed with Dualtone Records. Later that year, they released their self-titled debut album. One of the songs from the album, "Silver Lining," peaked at No.1 on the Billboard Triple A charts.
Mt. Joy's third album, Orange Blood, was released in 2022 featuring the singles "Lemon Tree" (which made the Top 10 on AAA radio and was hailed as a "next-level song" by NPR); "Evergreen"' the title track from the album; and "Bathroom Light." The accompanying music video for "Evergreen" also features a cameo from Creed Bratton from "The Office."
"We put so much love into this album," said Quinn in an interview with uDiscover Music. "My dream for this record is that it gives people a chance to be present and connect with something outside of the daily doom scroll." Catch Mt. Joy when they come to a city near you.
Love the salt shed seats. Very comfy and the band is amazing
they are SO AMAZING live and i need to go back! 1000/10
Canât get better than the headliner opening for themselves!! Such a great show in a great venue!
I love this venue, especially in the fall. There's something about being outside below some of Nashville's tallest buildings. I love seeing the skyline behind the venue, it really makes me feel like Nashville is a bigger city. I like being here especially in the fall when it is not too hot and I can dance freely without worrying about that. My only gripe is the prices at the venue. I got 2 beers and 2 waters and spent almost $60.
Production and performance were just absolutely through the roof. Tabernacle in Atlanta was a great venue and the overall atmosphere was amazing. I can confidently say it was the best concert Iâve ever been to! And even my girlfriend (who wasnât a huge fan going in) said she thought it was better than the Taylor swift concert đ«Ł
Mt. Joy is an absolute delight to see live. I canât put into words how much we love the experience seeing them and it gets better every time. Thank you Mt. Joy for the best night and birthday gift!
It was a great performance by flipturn and mt.joy both
The venue was amazing and Mt. Joy was awesome!! They played so many songs which I loved and Flipturn was amazing too.
The band was great! Venue was great! Crowd was great! Such a wonderful evening! Would absolutely do it all over again!
love mt. joy. loved the show. loved the timing and two set setup.
They honestly performed like they were facing eviction and ate like they were STARVEDDDD. They did so great and it was a 10/10 experience.
The concert was so much fun! They did a great job. The visuals were amazing and the music was even better.
I have been to several concerts this year but this was by far the best Iâve been to. Not only was Mt.Joy absolutely amazing but the Tabernacle is just such a great venue. It was big enough to house everyone but small also which gave it a more intimate feeling. Wish every concert could be that good.
Our family loves Mt Joy, whether Red Rocks, with Briston Maroney two years ago in Nashville, Austin for ACL Fest, or this past week at Moody Ampitheater with a small audience, amazing. Not a bad song.
Anyone that loves live music, will find the MT. Joy will provide a great surprise and infusion of pure joy to the soul. Those unaware of this band will instantly become a fan after the show.
We are usually lawn people but with the lawn closed we opted for seats and it was great! There is lots of room between the isles for dancing.
It was a much better show than anticipated, great music, favorite venue! Awesome times!
Perfect songs, perfect lyrics, perfect vibes, perfect talent
This was my first show at Moody Amphitheater and it didn't disappoint! I love a good outdoor concert on the grass, and Mt. Joy was the perfect music for it. They played a great set and had awesome, artistic visuals on stage. I'd love to see them live again!
If anyone every asks you to see Mt Joy, the only answer should be Yes! Very nice venue, amazing place in the spring or fall when weather is decent.
