Everyone's favorite Scottish nanny is headed on tour in "a feel-good, family-friendly comedy that delivers" (The Hollywood Reporter). Based on the beloved film and directed by four-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Zaks, Mrs. Doubtfire tells the hysterical and heartfelt story of an out-of-work actor who will do anything for his kids. It's "the lovable, big-hearted musical comedy we need right now," raves the Chicago Tribune - one that proves we're better together.
This was a great show. I felt a few scenes could have been cut from it. Overall was good!
What a great performance! And what fantastic performers!! My only disappointment is they need to upgrade the sound system. We were Orchestra L row 5 seats from Orch C row 20ish. At times you could not understand words. And quite obvious the sound was not balanced. All in all great show and great memories of the original movie!
Took my 86 year old mom to see this on Thursday evening. It was SO amazaing, I took my 62 year old husband two days later. We all LOVED IT!!! Talent all around. Super funny. Appropriate for all ages. Will see it again next time they are in town.
This show was so much fun. The guy who played Mrs doubtfire was INCREDIBLE! As was the girl who played Lydia. Wow. What a voice! The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is I thought it was a little long. But GO SEE IT!!!
The combination of dance, music, singing and acting was very well done. I enjoyed it more than the movie. The venue was great . I was alone but it didn’t matter because I was having fun. Thank you 🙏🏽
The show was great. Of course I had seen the movie years ago. Being Robin Williams, those are some HUGE shoes to fill first of all. Secondly, I was wondering how they were going to do hours worth of make-up changes in such short scene changes. PROBLEM SOLVED!! They had it all figured out. Hired the right actor, (I'm not sure if we had the stand in tonight) he was brillant, as was the entire cast. As far as make up, it was a latex mask! (Smart) The comedic timing. The children. The drama. The tenderness. All of it. It all rolled together perfectly. It was brought right up to date. I'd you enjoyed the old one or if you had never knew anything about it, you will definitely enjoy this, if you enjoy a feel good, funny story with some real life relatable situations.
Show was excellent. Updated version excellent.Mrs Doubtfire out did himself.
Great show - fast pace - barrel of laughs - Mrs. Doubtfire was the best!
I am not a regular play attender but this production was fantastic! Very funny and very well done with touches of real life that really connects the audience to the story. Thank you all who helped create and execute this wonderful production!
Absolutely great show! Very funny with very talented actors! Thoroughly enjoyed the show. Especially impressed with the talented children in the show.
The cast did an AMAZING job with this play! We laughed, we cried, we laughed harder... and then cried harder!! Standing Ovation!!
Stageset was amazing and acting was fantastic a feel good story as relevant today as when it was initially written
Great time with friends. We all loved the movie and really loved the musical. It was great!!
The cast was excellent especially the kids and the guy who played Mrs Doubtfire
Rob McClure is insanely talented. We remembered him from Mrs Maisel but had no clue the breadth of his comedic abilities. The actress who plays his eldest daughter was extraordinarily talented with a beautiful voice. The younger cast mates were adorable. While parts of the play were brilliantly scripted, parts seemed a little disjointed, hence the 4 stars. But a good time.
This was a wonderful show. If anyone is on the fence, just go see it. You won’t be disappointed…unless you are just a bitter, unhappy person. It is pure fun and high energy. A+!
Lead was excellent , but all the characters were much too loud… left at intermission with a headache . See the movie not this.
The very talented cast gave an amazing performance. I really enjoyed the music and storyline! Don’t miss this one!
I really wanted to see this show- but went into not expecting greatness, as no one can outdo Robin Williams. It was absolutely great! The cast members are very talented and did justice to what we all loved about the original movie. There are a few minor changes, but that’s to be expected going from movie script to theater script. There were four of us and every one had the same comment- Fantastic! We highly recommend seeing this if you live light hearted but touching theater.
So funny, especially the physical comedy. Wonderful show, wonderful actors, wonderful venue.
