This was our first Mountain Stage in person and it did not disappoint. The different acts were as diverse as they were outstanding. We are already making a plan to return.

  • They never disappoint!

Mountain Stage is such a well oiled machine that brings musicians to my attention that I enjoy, and often includes ones I adore already. I had so much fun at this show and thoroughly enjoyed all the acts - especially John Craigie.

  • A great night!

We had great seats on the front row of the balcony and really enjoyed this Mountain Stage show. I wanted to see the Kyle Tuttle Band and they did not disappoint. It was fun learning about and listening to the other acts as well.. And the finale number where they all get together to play was awesome! Kathy Mattea does a great job of driving the musical train...

  • Outstanding

by Mary on 5/1/24Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - MorgantownRating: 5 out of 5

The music & atmosphere provided an outstanding experience. I always love Mountain Stage but this one was above and beyond. All the groups gave performances that reached out to the audience. It was like being with all your friends at home listening to fantastic music. You can actually feel the mood that is shared with everyone there. Smiles abound. Love being introduced to all the new groups. Came home with lots of CD's so I can continue listening!!! Please bring Ruthie back a lot!

  • Let them in

by Ohiopyle listener on 10/19/23Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - MorgantownRating: 5 out of 5

The show was great, hey it’s Mountain Stage Live, and those shows are always very interesting and professional. Here’s my only comment. Let’s fill the place up. I was happy to $40+ to see the show from upfront, no problem with that cost for such a great seat. But when you to Morgantown and the CAC there’s so many seats that left emty, every time Mountain Stage is here. How about a section in the back of this great hall for general admission? No advice tickets just show up with a $10 bill in hand and get a seat. Lots of people would love to come to these awesome shows, but $10 is all they can afford, and why waste so many empty seats??

  • A fun show

by BobR on 10/19/23Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - MorgantownRating: 4 out of 5

MS is supposed to be a fun time and this show was exactly that. Ms. Mattea enjoyed being the ringleader. I wish she would have had one more song, but I'll probably always say that. Once we got past the pretentious puppeteer from Vermont the mood lightened and we got down to the business at hand (fun). Bob Thompson gave his usual virtuoso performance. I hope he never quits performing. The other acts were solid musically, and were good enough to have more time, but that's MS. You just get a taste of each. The finale was its usual disorganized number MS has become famous for. I almost forgot to mention Julie Adams, also someone who deserves more time. But then the show would become three hours, instead of 2 1/2 and my bladder couldn't handle that.

  • Great Welcome Back to Mo'town Performance

by RIDU on 3/30/22Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - MorgantownRating: 5 out of 5

The show was perfect in most aspects. The lineup was great Kathy Mattea is an excellent host and it was great to see them back in Morgantown and many of the original members of the stage band still with them. At several points the performers were given standing ovations. I must say in my opinion this is live radio at its best. The only negative what's the number of people who chose not to wear masks in a closed environment with several hundred people.

  • One of the best shows yet!

by Chambers on 1/22/20Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - MorgantownRating: 5 out of 5

Entertaining from beginning to end. Grabs my attention and never let go. I can’t wait until the next show!
