I last saw Kathy perform in the early nineties when I was a teen. It has been over thirty years since I saw her perform and she is as strong as ever! I hope to see her again soon!
This concert was titled , Kathy Mattea: Winter Gathering. Now knowing this was December, I knew there would be some Christmas songs involved. However since it was not labeled as a Christmas Gathering I did not think it would be entirely Christmas songs. And most of these songs were nontraditional ones that I nor many other had heard. Several of these included highee notes rhat this artist did NOT successfully hit. I didn't buy tickets and come for a Christmas concert. But I still could have dealt with that had she sang the one song I wanted to hear. The song I heard many people around me expect to hear: "Where Have You BBeen"This is one of the major songs that made her famous and should have been included. I'm just sorry I wasted my money.
An amazing show from Kathy and her band! I can’t wait for her return.
Great Christmas Concert! Music was uplifting for the holidays, with an excellent venue for the show.
Kathy was Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The venue was Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kathy Mattea's "Winter Gathering"show at Brown County Music Center in Nashville, IN was so enjoyable! The soothing warm tone of Kathy's beautiful voice, the clear clean sound of the acoustic instruments, and the heartfelt Christmas song selection made for a touching & enjoyable music experience.
Great concert and the whole band is so talented. So nice to see someone you enjoy at an affordable rate.
The chairs were so uncomfortable my husband had to stand. Also they were to close to each other.
One of the things I love about country music (well, mainly "older"country music) is that there is frequently a story to the song, and Kathy Mattea told us the "stories"to so many of her songs. It's what sets country music apart, and it's why I love it, and I appreciate her sharing those stories with us. As she stated at the start of the show, the smaller venue allows us to actually hear the songs being sung (not just noise) and that was true, you could understand every word she sang, even if you didn't know the song. I'm so happy she came to NJ to share her talent with us in person
