About

Motionless in White are a gothic and horror-themed metalcore band from Scranton, Pennsylvania. After forming in 2005, the group began to break out with the release of their third album, Reincarnate (2014), which charted in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and featured artists such as Dani Filth of Cradle of Filth and Tim Skold of Marilyn Manson and KMFDM. Lead vocalist Chris Motionless has noted drawing inspiration from bands like Slipknot, Cradle of Filth and AFI, who helped inspire the sonic soundscape of albums like Graveyard Shift (2017) and Disguise (2019), the latter of which produced the band’s first single to go gold, “Another Life.” Motionless in White have released two EPs and six studio albums, including 2022’s critically acclaimed Scoring the End of the World — embarking on sold-out tours with everyone from Korn to Slipknot.

  • I've seen this band before, great music, always wanting more

by Kash on 11/6/23Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Been following this band ever since their album "Creatures"was released. I was in English class one day scrolling through iTunes when their song "Abigail"showed up on a list of recommendations. I am 29 now and still love their music. Some bands become less interesting to me over the years, not MIW. Thankful for them and the way their music passes through my ears and into my soul. Check them out if you haven't already!

  • Best MIW show to date

by Ty on 11/4/23MGM Music Hall at Fenway - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing show, great energy from the crowd. Production value was through the roof! 4th time seeing MIW and it was by far their best performance yet. From the stage presence to their skill. Bonus shoutout to the Cherry Bombs for adding that extra flair!

  • So Crowded

by Amanda on 11/3/23Theatre of Living Arts - PhiladelphiaRating: 4 out of 5

Absolutely love motionless & they kill it every time The venue was definitely too small for how many people were in there & I could barely see half of the show :(

  • EXCELLENTCONCERT - JUST OK VENUE

by gillweb on 11/3/23Theatre of Living Arts - PhiladelphiaRating: 4 out of 5

MIW IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BANDS AND THIS WAS MY 6TH TIME IN ABOUT 2 YEARS SEEING THEM. THE CONCERT ITSELF, AMAZING! THEY PUT ON A GREAT SHOW ALWAYS! IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THEM, I RECOMMEND YOU DO!!! THE VENUE ITSELF, THE TLA... NOT A FAN. VERY SMALL, VERY DIRTY AND WHEN THEY SELLOUT A SHOW LIEK THIS ONE IT IS LITERALLY SHOULDER-TO-SHOULDER. MY OPINION WOULD BE NOT TO HAVE THAT MANY PEOPLE IN SUCH A SMALL PLACE WITH MINIMAL PLACES FOR EXIT. ALSO, THE FLOOR IS GRADED (I THOUGHT WAS GOING TO BE BETTER TO SEE) WHICH ACTUALLY WREAKS HAVOC ON YOUR FEET, LEGS AND BACK SINCE YOU ARE NEVER STANDING "FLAT". NOT SURE I'D RETURN TO THE TLA.

  • PHENOMENAL

by Tesse on 11/2/23MGM Music Hall at Fenway - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely phenomenal show. The entire production was out of this world. I didn’t listen to Motionless before this show, but they’re the best band I have ever seen live. I came for Knocked Loose, but holy guacamole! It was fantastic.

  • Great Band, venue could have been better.

by Medicgrrl123 on 11/1/23MGM Music Hall at Fenway - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

We had tickets for the Boston concert because of the outrageous prices in Philly. HOWEVER my husband screwed up and u had to sell my tickets. The prices for the TLA dropped so we got them. Not by much. It was still a bite in the wallet. Essentially it was 150 more to not even be able to stand in the room. We stood near the bar to see the concert. Our cat actually had to be rushed to the vet when we were going to leave so that does come into play. (He was diagnosed with FIP so the enjoyment was sucked out of the night.) Anyway, we got to see Alpha Wolf and Motionless in White. They were amazing. I can't say enough about them. However, this concert should have been at the Fillmore or bigger venue because it was packed. And I love the TLA, but for lower crowds than the draw of MIW. Besides the enjoyment level of everyone involved, have people tried to work in EMS or Security with a venue this packed? We saw what that had to go through and it was alot to part the crowds. There was no where to go. I work as a medic and the crowds at Made in America are insane, this was tighter than that. Idk it's just not cool to do that to people. Everyone was super cool who worked at the TLA which has always been the norm for us; because of that they probably should get a raise.

I love this band so much first time seeing them in a different city than my own and it did not dissapoint! As always high energy, amazing vibes. I left with a neck ache and no voice. If you've never seen this band live I don't know what you're waiting for. One of the best bands out right now I will see them every chance I get 🖤
