About

Motionless in White are a gothic and horror-themed metalcore band from Scranton, Pennsylvania. After forming in 2005, the group began to break out with the release of their third album, Reincarnate (2014), which charted in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and featured artists such as Dani Filth of Cradle of Filth and Tim Skold of Marilyn Manson and KMFDM. Lead vocalist Chris Motionless has noted drawing inspiration from bands like Slipknot, Cradle of Filth and AFI, who helped inspire the sonic soundscape of albums like Graveyard Shift (2017) and Disguise (2019), the latter of which produced the band’s first single to go gold, “Another Life.” Motionless in White have released two EPs and six studio albums, including 2022’s critically acclaimed Scoring the End of the World — embarking on sold-out tours with everyone from Korn to Slipknot.

All bands were amazing ! I headbanged to every song even the songs I wouldn't listen habitually. Motionless in White were very impressive and I WILL get my tickets to their next show in Laval or Montreal.

Motionless in White is one if not my favorite band! They put on a wonderful show with amazing set lists and the look of the stage and sound just keeps getting better and better! I try to see them every time they come to the Detroit, Michigan area. This time was my 4th time seeing them and I don’t plan on stopping!

  • No city lights

by Immortalblood on 10/31/23Manhattan Center Hammerstein Ballroom - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

I’ve been a fan since When love met destruction. I’ve been to countless shows whenever they come to NYC or Long Island never once I complained about their performance. However this tour we were promised hearing their song from their album Creatures “city lights”. I was looking forward to it because I never heard it live besides their livestream of “Creatures 10th anniversary” and once the show have started I was looking forward to hearing the song. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case, yes the played some classics I grew up on; yes we heard amazing songs through the bands career, but I was let down they didn’t play city lights. What makes the situation worse is that the show before NYC and the show after NYC they played city lights. That’s why it gets a 3 star it was a good show, however the band promised to play that song hopefully either Chris or the whole band sees this and understands where im coming from. Thank you.

    by Soph F on 10/29/23Place Bell - LavalRating: 5 out of 5

Motionless has never disappointed but this show was the best yet! Knocked Loose, After The Burial and Alpha Wolf were also awesome. They all had the whole crowd into their sets and you could tell they were having a great time even though it was almost the end of their tour and were most likely tired beyond belief. Can’t wait for the next one!!!!

  • Amazing

by Heather on 10/29/23Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve been seeing MIW for years now and every time, they seem to top the show before! They are one of the best bands out there and put on one of the best live shows you can ask for for not a ton of loot. Will always see them as long as it’s not hard rock in Gary (cough cough, trinity of terror nightmare nov/2022)

  • Great show, Bad venue

by EyeAmHell on 10/29/23REBEL - TorontoRating: 2 out of 5

Wonderful show, great sound, great atmosphere. Every band was incredible and very entertaining. The venue was bad, it is now a nightclub and is no longer suitable for these types of concerts. Long ago when it was the sound academy it was great but the recent renovations have rendered this space awful for viewers attending concerts.

  • Will never forget!!

by Evan on 10/29/23Rating: 5 out of 5

My first concert, and they performed even better than I’d imagined. Thank you MIW for one of the best moments of my life 10/10 this is NOT the last time I will be seeing them.

  • Best performance

    by Meg666 on 10/28/23REBEL - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Didn't care much for any of the bands except for motionless in white. Hands down best concert I've been to so far. The bartenders were a bit rude and handsy at the venue to the point where 1 decided to slam her hand into my back really hard for no reason. Motionless in white is absolute perfection when it comes to putting on a show. Definitely going to see them again

  • The power of healing from music

by Rockworthy on 10/27/23The Fillmore Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best shows I have been too! Absolutely love this band and this venue!

  • I missed this

by Kir Gilbert on 10/27/23The Fillmore Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

I haven't been to a concert in a few years, since before 2020, and this was an emotional experience for me. My dad was always taking my brother and myself to concerts since we were little and this was the first concert we have been to since his passing in May 2023. Throats were raw, lyrics were screamed and tears were shed, and I assure you my old man was there in spirit. Thank you to all 4 bands for a great show.
