About

Motionless in White are a gothic and horror-themed metalcore band from Scranton, Pennsylvania. After forming in 2005, the group began to break out with the release of their third album, Reincarnate (2014), which charted in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and featured artists such as Dani Filth of Cradle of Filth and Tim Skold of Marilyn Manson and KMFDM. Lead vocalist Chris Motionless has noted drawing inspiration from bands like Slipknot, Cradle of Filth and AFI, who helped inspire the sonic soundscape of albums like Graveyard Shift (2017) and Disguise (2019), the latter of which produced the band’s first single to go gold, “Another Life.” Motionless in White have released two EPs and six studio albums, including 2022’s critically acclaimed Scoring the End of the World — embarking on sold-out tours with everyone from Korn to Slipknot.

  • Utterly Amazing

by VCat on 10/16/23Coca-Cola Roxy - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I've listened to Motionless in White since 2015, and while this was only my 3rd time seeing them. They just get better every time. The theatricality and stage presence of every performance is so memorable and it's been so amazing to see them grow as a band and musicians. This band saved me from one of the worst depressions I had ever experienced and I'll be forever grateful for them!

  • Wish I could relive it!

  • Great Concert, Minor Issue with Venue

by Jabba The Great on 10/11/23The Great Saltair - MagnaRating: 4 out of 5

As my first concert outside at Saltair, I was impressed with the layout/setting of the stage but my only (by far biggest) knock was despite having us walk through the inside of Saltair and having the concessions open inside the venue, instead of letting us use the actual plumbed restrooms they have inside the venue they herded us to a series of port-a-potties. As far as the actual concert, After The Burial had everyone moving the moment they stepped on the stage until the end of their set. Knocked Loose, while not lacking for energy played to a crowd that didn't share that same energy. But they put on a hell of a set anyways. Motionless in White went all out on production, with a full LED backdrop, the Cherry Bombs on hand to provide background choreography during certain songs, insane fog machines and oh ya fire...lots of fire. Having attended Parkway Drive earlier in the week, where their use of fire was hyped as a main part of the event, MIW's pyro display more than matched it. Despite battling illness, Chris didn't cut any songs and soldiered through the entire set sounding solid. They drew from songs covering their entire catalog and it was obvious that the Utah crowd was all in on MIW.

  • Best show ever!

It’s a high powered show worth twice the price. I took all my friends and we had a great time.

  • Upsetting

    by J. C. on 10/11/23Rating: 1 out of 5

Houston got little to no rain and they canceled the show. Venue clearly says the show will happen come rain or shine. Drove 6 hours to see them and then this happens.

  • The best show ever

This concert is in my top five of all time favorite concerts! And I have been to a helluva lot of concerts! The audio/visuals with the pyrotechnics pushed it over the top! Even the Cherry Bomb dancers were cool! It was amazing 😻 can’t wait to see Motionless In White again!
