MOON TAXI IN CONCERT:

Alt rockers Moon Taxi take their fans on a musical journey with their upbeat tracks, impressive showmanship, and exciting performances. Whether they’re shredding out dual guitar solos on “Cabaret” or playing the bright synth number “Mercury”, the band delivers an unforgettable experience for ticket buyers every time they take the stage. A rising new act, Moon Taxi always has fans clapping and singing along to their collection of rock tunes on their high-octane tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Hailing from Nashville, the members of Moon Taxi met in 2002 during their college years at Belmont University where they would jam out in their dorm room as a hobby. After spending the next few years honing their craft and playing local shows near campus they released their debut album Melodica in 2007. The popular record earned them spots at a number of music festivals around the country, and they subsequently became known for their lively, energetic stage presence. Since then they’ve released two more acclaimed studio albums – 2012’s Cabaret and 2013’s Mountains Beaches Cities – collaborated and toured with Matisyahu, and appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman. On tour Moon Taxi puts on a near-perfect live show for fans of fun alternative rock music and stellar musicianship.

These guys are a bit out of my usual lane of travel, I'm a old blues-classic rock fan. Saw them @ Dylanfest a couple of years ago & was impressed. They are the real deal. I think I was the oldest person there, one of the ushers may have been older, but I had a blast. Most of the tunes were new to me, I think I heard a Tom Petty in the mix but their skills and energy sucked me in with the rest of the crowd (who were true fans and sang along with every song). Frankly, I've never been to any concert that I didn't enjoy but I'm sincere when I say these guys put on a hell of a show and you won't be disappointed.

  • Moon Taxi = Stellar performance!

One of the best concerts I've ever been to... and I've been to a LOT of concerts! They are fantastic entertainers. And so was the opening band, "Too Many Zooz"

  • To the Moon Taxi!

    by SST1017 on 10/31/17Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Great musicians and entertainers! Loved it. What's not to love about the Ryman though? Perfect size venue. Small enough to be intimate. Big enough to get great crowd energy. And it's the Ryman, for pete's sake! The crowd, mostly young but a few old folks sprinkled in, was rapt. Love Moon Taxi. Bonaroo?

  • Favorite band; exceeded expectations

by Cambercamber on 10/31/17Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Always wanted to see them live. No disappointment. Didn’t have the best seats but had an amazing time. Loved how they brought the opener in. Sounded beautiful. Hope to see them again soon!

This was an incredible concert!! These guys put on one of the best concerts I’ve seen at the Ryman!! Lead singer Trevor Terndrup was very interactive with the crowd, which I liked. Could feel good vibes the whole concert, Energy was amazing!! I highly recommend seeing Moon Taxi and plan on going to another show!

Moon Taxi was great even though they took almost 30 minutes to set up. However my favorite was the coverband, Too Many Zooz.

  • Incredible show!

by Anonymous on 8/21/17Tivoli Theatre - ChattanoogaRating: 5 out of 5

This is the second time I've seen them in the past year and they've been awesome both times. The sound in the Tivoli was perfect too!

  • Moon Taxi - Alabama Theatre

by SirJameson on 11/28/16Alabama Theatre - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome group, started and ended with biggest hits. Along with other moon Taxi originals added two older favorites from other bands. Music was as good or better live as it is on CD's. Opening act, Soul Rebels, joined in on one of the songs as well. Light shows were amazing and Moon Taxi played continuously without breaks. Very highly recommended group to see in person!

by REALbad on 11/28/16Alabama Theatre - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

Love them and their energy. Only request is that they play for more than 90 minutes, as they are a jam band, and the jam band audience is used to long shows to really hear what the band has to offer.

  • Moon taxi was awesome

Moon taxi was on point. Played most of their hits and a couple of covers.

  • Worth the money

    by Smee180 on 4/9/16Furman Amphitheater - GreenvilleRating: 5 out of 5

My daughters wanted to see them so I took them. I figured I would basically be sitting there waiting for it to be over. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the concert. I actually had a good time and so did my daughters. It was worth the money and was at a great venue. I would recommend seeing them for the price I paid and then some. Good job borns and moon taxi!!

  • Advertised as Borns Concert???

    by Missy0707 on 4/8/16Furman Amphitheater - GreenvilleRating: 4 out of 5

I love Moon Taxi and I love Borns, but I bought these tickets thinking Borns was the headliner. I don't why, but Ticketmaster advertised it as such, when Borns really was the opener for Moon Taxi. That's why I am giving this 4 stars. (I don't want to give it less, because it is not the artist's fault!) I wish Ticketmaster would refund the service and convenience fee, because it feels like they made a mistake and those fees were $10. I could have showed up late with the intentions of just seeing Borns and could have completely missed him perform!! I am sure that others did the same. The experience was not as great for me, because I couldn't appreciate Borns as the opener and Moon Taxi as the headliner.

  • Moon Taxi doesn't disappoint!

by BenzoMcAwesome on 4/4/16Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I hope these outstanding musicians perform in Nashville more often.

  • Great show!

We really enjoyed the show. Coin was a great opener and Moon Taxi was very impressive.

  • Moon Taxi owned the Ryman!

    by Rocky519 on 4/4/16Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

My high expectations were met and more! The band grabbed the audience's attention at the first note. The sound and lights were well-done and the song set was perfect. I will definitely see again!

  • Fantastic performances by all three bands!

by HermosaCliffs on 4/1/16Charline McCombs Empire Theatre - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was incredible. All three bands delivered really amazing performances in a beautiful venue. The Vanity was dynamic, The Lonely Biscuits was great fun, and Moon Taxi was very generous with some super jamming! I wish I could experience the evening again.

  • Can't wait for moon taxi to come back!!!

    by Valll87 on 2/10/16State Theatre - St PetersburgRating: 5 out of 5

I feel in love with their song "Mercury" back in the day and really enjoy MANY other songs. I have never seen them live but noticed they had a show in St. Pete,FL and I had to go! Not only was the night fun but the show they put on was amazing! I didn't even know what I expected but it far exceeded!!! Thanks Moon Taxi!!! Can't wait till you guys head this way again.

  • Moon Taxi: I love you to the moon (taxi) and back!

by jumiang on 2/9/16State Theatre - St PetersburgRating: 5 out of 5

What a show! I had seen Moon Taxi briefly last year at ACL but was blown away with their performance at a more intimate venue. Their energy was amazing and they had the whole crowd singing & dancing along. The venue was big enough to get a decent sized crowd but still small enough that you felt a connection with the band. It was an incredible jam session and the lights just added to the magic! They have such energy and talent that they can do no wrong! Honestly, this will go down on my list of top 3 performances! Moon Taxi, you have a loyal fan in South Florida, please come back often!
