About
MOON TAXI IN CONCERT:
Alt rockers Moon Taxi take their fans on a musical journey with their upbeat tracks, impressive showmanship, and exciting performances. Whether they’re shredding out dual guitar solos on “Cabaret” or playing the bright synth number “Mercury”, the band delivers an unforgettable experience for ticket buyers every time they take the stage. A rising new act, Moon Taxi always has fans clapping and singing along to their collection of rock tunes on their high-octane tours.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Hailing from Nashville, the members of Moon Taxi met in 2002 during their college years at Belmont University where they would jam out in their dorm room as a hobby. After spending the next few years honing their craft and playing local shows near campus they released their debut album Melodica in 2007. The popular record earned them spots at a number of music festivals around the country, and they subsequently became known for their lively, energetic stage presence. Since then they’ve released two more acclaimed studio albums – 2012’s Cabaret and 2013’s Mountains Beaches Cities – collaborated and toured with Matisyahu, and appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman. On tour Moon Taxi puts on a near-perfect live show for fans of fun alternative rock music and stellar musicianship.

These guys are the real deal. Great rock concert and great face melting jams
Great energy, great venue
by flipflop38 on 7/16/12Bowery - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5The Bowery was the perfect venue for Moon Taxi. They had great energy and kept the audience engaged from start to finish. We especially loved the bass player- but the whole group were clearly great muscians. Appreciated that they integrated a few familiar cover songs for fun.
