MOON TAXI IN CONCERT:

Alt rockers Moon Taxi take their fans on a musical journey with their upbeat tracks, impressive showmanship, and exciting performances. Whether they’re shredding out dual guitar solos on “Cabaret” or playing the bright synth number “Mercury”, the band delivers an unforgettable experience for ticket buyers every time they take the stage. A rising new act, Moon Taxi always has fans clapping and singing along to their collection of rock tunes on their high-octane tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Hailing from Nashville, the members of Moon Taxi met in 2002 during their college years at Belmont University where they would jam out in their dorm room as a hobby. After spending the next few years honing their craft and playing local shows near campus they released their debut album Melodica in 2007. The popular record earned them spots at a number of music festivals around the country, and they subsequently became known for their lively, energetic stage presence. Since then they’ve released two more acclaimed studio albums – 2012’s Cabaret and 2013’s Mountains Beaches Cities – collaborated and toured with Matisyahu, and appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman. On tour Moon Taxi puts on a near-perfect live show for fans of fun alternative rock music and stellar musicianship.

  • Moon Taxi in a small room!!

by Jackolant on 2/2/16Brighton Music Hall - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

What a great show! Moon Taxi rocked it from start to finish at the Brighton Music Hall. The place is a classic old hall that can't fit more than 1500. That was perfect for us! The band was flawless and the acoustics were great. They played a great mix from their first three albums and mixed in some excellent covers! Bowie was honored with Fame and Eltons Rocketman was awesome!!! Find this band in a small venue before they get big!!

  • Tight Show

by JoshJaxMills on 2/2/16Brighton Music Hall - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

These guys are true pros, from start to finish they stayed on point and didn't deviate too much from the studio sound. Venue was small and intimate and the sound was great.

Dopest show ever. Straight up. I was smiling cheek to cheek the whole time.

Awesome show! Moon Taxi sounded great and the venue was cool.

  • They get better every time!

    by Antwan789 on 10/13/15Civic Theatre - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5

This was my third time seeing moon taxi and as the title says, they get better every time I see them. This band is five guys that are all incredibly talented musicians. I was lucky enough to run into the lead singer Trevor before the show and talked to him for fifteen minutes before HE suggested taking a picture with us and even offered to get my friends grandma free tickets so she could come too. Even while on stage he remembered us and told my friend happy birthday while he was playing. When they come back to town make sure you go because it is a concert you don't want to miss.

  • Moon Taxi Rocked It at Bijou!

by Wineaux62 on 1/26/15U.S. Cellular Stage at the Bijou Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Just blown away. Great energy and crowd was into it.

  • Moon Taxi at the Bijuo

by TW55 on 1/25/15U.S. Cellular Stage at the Bijou Theatre - KnoxvilleRating: 4 out of 5

Let me start by saying I am a bit older than the typical Moon Taxi fan. The band is mad up of five very talented musicians and I enjoyed the perfomance a lot. They put on a very good show for such a young band. My one criticism would be the sound balance or lack there of. Every band member was wide open and many of the excellent featured solos by guitar and key board were lost in the mix. Sometimes less is more and I am sure as the band matures a more balanced sound will emerge. Moon Taxi is great new band. Go see them if you have the chance. They dont disappoint.

  • Amazing live!

Enjoy their studio work, but much better live. Energetic, engaging performers.

  • great VIBE

I knew who Moon Taxi was but not Bright Light Social Hour but holy cow, these bands are even better live. For TBLSH, I sat at the bar and not even 1 minute of their set had reached, and I was already dancing my butt off and had to get on the floor. THEY ARE AMAZING! TBLSH produce such a contagious groove in their music that there is NO WAY you cannot dance. As for Moon Taxi, this was my first time seeing them and wow. What an unbelievable show. There are no other words.

  • MOON TAXI OK, BRIGHT LIGHT SOCIAL HOUR AWESOME

by MILEW on 10/31/14House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 4 out of 5

Bright Light Social Hour just amazing. they should have been the headliner. Moon Taxi are very good musicians and the performance was good, but they are not the 'Ones to Watch'

  • Great Show

    by KVS48 on 10/22/14The Shelter - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

Moon Taxi put on an amazing show in Detroit. Sound was great, lights were even better, and they rocked RATM for the encore where everybody lost it. Cosby Sweater opened was also a funktastic party got the crowd going. Great show and venue.

  • by Anonymous on 10/21/14Deluxe at Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Moon Taxi is a versatile band who knows how to bring it. They're own songs are amazing, but they even covered a song from the 80s and 90s.

  • Moon Taxi--AWESOME!!!!

by jupetr on 10/20/14House of Blues Chicago - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

They were so good! My son turned us on to them and I play their cd in my car ALL of the time! Just love them!!!!

  • better than meh

by stiv3 on 10/20/14Deluxe at Old National Centre - IndianapolisRating: 3 out of 5

The show was fine but the lights were blindingly disturbing. Flashing strobes into our eyes was actually pretty sickening. Could have used the lights on the artists rather than the audience. The venue was fine.

  • Mood Taxi was Phenomenal!

by Bedrock9 on 8/12/14Theatre of Living Arts - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

I just started listening to these guys a couple months ago and quickly recognized them as one of the best new sounds out there. Seeing them live, and in such an intimate setting, was surreal. Their performance was spot, crisp, and one of the best concerts I've seen in a while. That's saying a lot, considering I just saw Phish two nights in a row at the Merriweather Post Pavilion and as always, they nailed it! Mood Taxi deserves all the accolades. I hope they make it big.

  • Best Moon Taxi show yet

    by Dawnie1218 on 7/22/14Mercury Ballroom - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I love intimate shows and The Mercury Ballroom didn't disappoint! I will definitely be back for more shows in the future! Moon Taxi was full of energy and it poured into the crowd. It was a late night show after 2 days of Forecastle and their vibe made me think I wasn't exhausted. They played their crowd. Plenty of new songs mingled with old, even a song I've never heard! great night!

  • Moon Taxi kills it every time!

    by motormouth99 on 7/22/14Mercury Ballroom - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5

This was my 5-6th time seeing Moon Taxi & look forward to seeing them again. They do an amazing job! The crowd dances & sings to every song. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't want to see them.

  • Moontaxi rocks my world every single time
