MOON TAXI IN CONCERT:

Alt rockers Moon Taxi take their fans on a musical journey with their upbeat tracks, impressive showmanship, and exciting performances. Whether they’re shredding out dual guitar solos on “Cabaret” or playing the bright synth number “Mercury”, the band delivers an unforgettable experience for ticket buyers every time they take the stage. A rising new act, Moon Taxi always has fans clapping and singing along to their collection of rock tunes on their high-octane tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Hailing from Nashville, the members of Moon Taxi met in 2002 during their college years at Belmont University where they would jam out in their dorm room as a hobby. After spending the next few years honing their craft and playing local shows near campus they released their debut album Melodica in 2007. The popular record earned them spots at a number of music festivals around the country, and they subsequently became known for their lively, energetic stage presence. Since then they’ve released two more acclaimed studio albums – 2012’s Cabaret and 2013’s Mountains Beaches Cities – collaborated and toured with Matisyahu, and appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman. On tour Moon Taxi puts on a near-perfect live show for fans of fun alternative rock music and stellar musicianship.

  • Fantastic show!

    by E. Woods on 9/20/219:30 CLUB - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Great show - the band really knows how to put on a fun performance. 9:30 club is also a fantastic and historic venue. Look forward to attending many more concerts there this year.

  • Safe, fun.

I had a wonderful time at the Moon Taxi show. 9:30 checked all our vaccination cards at the door with our IDs and enforced mask policies inside. To be honest, I didn't know the band. I just picked a show at random to get to go to 9:30 Club again. But the band was very high energy and happy, and you could tell they had a great connection with fans, who were equally happy to be there- the lead singers parents were even there!

  • One of my top 5 shows

Moon Taxi gave us a great show. They were so full of energy and the light show was fantastic. Love the new album and the new single Mission. The crowd was primed thanks to Sparkle City Disco. Don't miss this show.

  • Great Show!!!

    by Gna219 on 8/16/21Greenfield Lake Amphitheater - WilmingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Sparkle City DJ’s needed to up their game, more interaction with audience and more dance tunes (i.e.-Fritz & The Tantrums, David Guetta, etc) However, Moon Taxi was AWESOME!! Really enjoyed the variety of songs and great vocals as well as hearing the musical accompaniment (guitars, piano, and drums in a live environment is such a treat!) on all their own songs they played and then they did a few older tunes with their own flair to it - just thoroughly loved the entire concert!! Amazing drum solo as well!!! Purchased the CD and definitely following them on Instagram to see when they are back in town or at least close enough to take a trip to see them!! :)

The venue and the acoustics are outstanding in this location. There is not a bad seat in the house at Greenfield amphitheater. Now as far as Live Nation is concerned. They gouge the hell out of your pocket book for drinks. We pay taxes to have a venue like this and so do business owners in the area. Live Nation does not support local businesses to come and sell beer and food at the events. To pay 15 to 20 dollars for a beer or drink is sad. I recommend tailgating before going to any Live Nation sponsored event or you will spend a paycheck on food and drink.

  • Moon Taxi 2018

    by f. m. on 1/4/19Nashville Municipal Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Moon Taxi rocked it. Loved their Queen Tribute!🎉. They played everything I could have hoped for. Great show, Moon Taxi. I’m a huge fan. Took my 14 year old daughter. Appropriate for her too. Thank you, Moon Taxi!

  • Love Moon Taxi

    by M. W. on 1/3/19Nashville Municipal Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

My favorite band! They always put on a great show. I wasn't real crazy about the venue because there were a lot of young, drunk kids there which made it not enjoyable. We were lucky enough to get down on the floor but you really couldn't see once you were down there.

  • NYE 2019

    by T. L. on 1/3/19Nashville Municipal Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

This show was absolutely incredible— start to finish.

  • Loved It!

by Unhappy TM Customer on 1/3/19Nashville Municipal Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Great music, a fun time and excited for Moon Taxi's first arena show. The one negative was the disgusting looking dancers who added nothing to the show. Everything else was superb.

  • Splendid

    by G. R. on 1/3/19Nashville Municipal Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

New Year's concert in Nashville Municipal Auditorium. Thought we'd have to spend $60 to get into a bar, but the concert lasted until 1 am. Luthi, the opener, was great but Moon Taxi was something else. They were fantastic live and even played a few tribute Queen songs. Overall awesome experience, definitely got the most out of our $40.

  • Mediocre

    by By-Tor on 1/3/19Nashville Municipal Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 3 out of 5

Venue isn't great. Very echo-y and cavernous. The DJs and dancing girls before and after the main set didn't really work. And it was far from the best MT show I've seen. For a NYE show, it felt like they were punching the clock—few covers, no RATM song in the encore, sub-90-minute set time.

  • NYE Moon Taxi

by Andrew on 1/3/19Nashville Municipal Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen Moon Taxi 3 times now. First was at Live on the Green in 2015, at the Ryman in 2018, and now NYE at the Municipal! Everytime I see them they get better and better. Always put on an incredible show! What I really like about it is the interaction with the crowd you get with the band! Also I enjoy see the mixture of people that follow Moon Taxi! Young, Middle Aged, and Seniors. When I see multiple generations having a great time and enjoying the music I will go to that show everytime!! I will see them again! I’ve always wanted to go to RedRocks!!

  • A little disappointed

    by c. w. on 1/3/19Nashville Municipal Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 2 out of 5

Sound was off in the building and they didn’t come on until after 11:00 and played for a little over an hour...not worth the money spent for the ticket in our opinion.

  • Awesome father/daughter concert!

    by Hodges64 on 11/6/17Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Had never heard of Moon Taxi until my 15-yr-old daughter asked me to take her to their show. Really grateful she did! Their music is very unique and distinctive, and each of the band members are excellent musicians. Very tight, focused band with a strong lead singer. Their live act and lighting was on par with major groups too. Would definitely recommend seeing them in person, and would see them again if the opportunity comes. The opening act -- Too Many Zooz - was incredible! Very entertaining, with a front man that tops all front men! Check their Youtube vids to understand.....no words to describe!

  • Moon Taxi is always amazing

This event was so great. Even though I might have been a bit older than the rest of the crowd, I LOVED it!!!! What an awesome band and you cannot beat the Ryman for an event space!!!!! Will see them every chance I get.

  • LOVE this band!

Before seeing Moon Taxi live I was a fan. Sure, I had heard their most popular songs on the radio and like to sing along. I wasn't prepared to be blown away at their show. I have since downloaded ALL of their music in Amazon Prime and have listened to it every day since seeing them live.
