MOON TAXI IN CONCERT:

Alt rockers Moon Taxi take their fans on a musical journey with their upbeat tracks, impressive showmanship, and exciting performances. Whether they’re shredding out dual guitar solos on “Cabaret” or playing the bright synth number “Mercury”, the band delivers an unforgettable experience for ticket buyers every time they take the stage. A rising new act, Moon Taxi always has fans clapping and singing along to their collection of rock tunes on their high-octane tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Hailing from Nashville, the members of Moon Taxi met in 2002 during their college years at Belmont University where they would jam out in their dorm room as a hobby. After spending the next few years honing their craft and playing local shows near campus they released their debut album Melodica in 2007. The popular record earned them spots at a number of music festivals around the country, and they subsequently became known for their lively, energetic stage presence. Since then they’ve released two more acclaimed studio albums – 2012’s Cabaret and 2013’s Mountains Beaches Cities – collaborated and toured with Matisyahu, and appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman. On tour Moon Taxi puts on a near-perfect live show for fans of fun alternative rock music and stellar musicianship.

My husband and I first saw Moon Taxi at Winnetka Music Festival years ago. Now we're fans. It was very enjoyable to see them in person. Playing at the Chicago House of Blues was a bit crowded.

  • Great Live Band

Moon Taxi was incredible live. Kept the crowd engaged the whole time and spread out playing the hits throughout the show. Will definitely be seeing them again.

The music was great, the venue was exciting, and the crowd was enthusiastic. So glad I got to see Moon Taxi at Paristown Hall in Louisville, KY. It was a great time.

Moon Taxi has become part of the soundtrack for this chapter of my life. From the first note of their performance, I knew we were in for a great show. Clearly, these guys are talented and hardworking musicians. They played well together and sounded as tight as a touring band with decades of experience. Also, hats off to the sound guys for delivering crisp, clear vocals. I would definitely go see them again.

I've attended a handful of Moon Taxi shows over the years and they never disappoint. I've spread the word on their music with many friends/colleagues hopping on the bandwagon. They bring great energy and put on a great show. I look forward to catching them again in either Cincinnati or Louisville.

Way better than the radio! Loved their non stop energy!

Moon Taxi is musically top tier, but this show was like a lite version. They played for a total of just over an hour. Literally the shortest show I have ever been to. They also jammed only maybe once or twice... Music is good, but disappointing show.

  • Phenomenal

by Michael on 10/15/23House of Blues Cleveland - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

Already a favorite band and the top played on my Spotify. It was a great concert! Some bands lose quality live. Moon Taxi is as good live (if not better) than recorded. I hope they come near again soon, but if not I’d travel to see them!

  • One of the best shows of the year!!

by Wyatt - Cleveland on 10/15/23House of Blues Cleveland - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

I've liked Moon Taxi for about 6 years now, but haven't had a chance to see them live until now. Their show was incredible! I will absolutely be seeing then again! So much energy, great mix of old and new stuff! They're even better live, if I could give them 100 stars I would!!

  • Great show and venue

  • Best Live Performance

by Love live music on 8/14/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I don’t know that much Moon Taxi music and decided to take my 19 y.o. daughter bc she knows the music. It was AWESOME!! Best live music performance I’ve seen in years! Keyboardist is comparable to the great “Ed” from the Radiators. They rocked it!!

  • Moon Taxi love

by Cometscupid on 8/21/22Greenfield Lake Amphitheater - WilmingtonRating: 5 out of 5

So, first off, this is a GREAT venue. Seats are first come, first serve and if you're there early, you can be right up front and center. It's an intimate venue and it's located in a wooded, marshy park area. Very pretty location. I've seen Moon Taxi 3 times now, and I love them even more each time. Last year's opener wasn't great, but this year, the opener was a local group called Slick Mahoneys and they were so good. Their vibe worked well with Moon Taxi. Moon Taxi did not disappoint! They have too many great songs, so you might not hear your favorite-- but Trevor and the fellas give it their all and keep you wanting more. There's just a great vibe with them. It's a good time and I can't wait to see them again next year!

  • Moon taxi is amazing, venue drink prices not so much

by Vodka Lemonade on 8/14/22Greenfield Lake Amphitheater - WilmingtonRating: 5 out of 5

We moved from CA and drink prices at this venue were more than there. Not sure why- Moon Taxi killed it tho! Love them

  • Awesome venue

by LP on 10/12/21Avondale Brewing Co. - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

The venue was ideal for a Moon Taxi show on a mild October evening in Birmingham. Weather was perfect, concession line was pretty fast considering the amount of people in it. Appreciated the amount of bathrooms, albeit port-a-potties. Staff was friendly and helpful. 10 out of 10, would recommend.
