About the Monster X Tour
The spectacle of motocross meets the brute force of monster truck mayhem in the Monster X Tour, where some of the most famous monster trucks perform stunts and compete against each other for the coveted Monster X Championship. Since 2009, such legendary names in monster trucks as Traxxas X-Maxx, Equalizer, Red Solo Truck, and the one that started it all, Bigfoot, have entertained in stadiums and arenas throughout the United States and the world for the Monster X Tour. Motocross bikers, demolition derbies, and other sideshows complete the program, contributing to a memorable night for all spectators. Monster X Tour events have taken place mainly in the Western US and worldwide, with a show in Hawaii in 2019 and occasional shows nationwide.
Monster X Tour History
Monster trucks first became popular in the late '70s and early '80s with the arrival of Bigfoot, a souped-up Ford F-250 modified by Bob Chandler. After making public appearances at tractor pulls and county fairs, Bigfoot began the monster truck tradition of crushing automobiles in 1981, establishing the iconography of an entire sport and becoming part of American popular culture. The Monster X Tour first began in 2009 and immediately established credibility with the presence of both Bigfoot Racing and Straight Up Racing. Traxxas RC racing sponsored the tour from 2016 to 2018, first as the Traxxas Monster Truck Destruction Tour, and then as the Traxxas Monster Truck Tour.
Monster X events feature several monster truck competitions, including wheelie contests, races and freestyle competitions, which allow these giant machines to do such incredible stunts as hill jumps and even backflips. The tour culminates each year with the Monster X Tour World Finals. In 2019, Ty Cornelius Jr. rode Paul Breaud's Traxxas X-Maxx truck to victory, winning the Monster X Tour championship with an average finishing score of 41.83 points out of a maximum 50.
I had so much fun. Hope we get to see it again next year. And the years to come. Thank you!
Fun filled family event for all ages, it was nice to see Monster X back in Hawaii after 20 plus years.
The MonsterX show was fun but started considerably later than advertised. The show itself had many interesting and exciting parts but the pace was slow and repetitive between the three main parts of the monster trucks. The motorcycles were excellent. Overall glad I went and had a decent time but will likely not watch this type of show again.
Fearless drivers operating their monster trucks pushing their skills to please the crowd.
That was an awesome show, absolutely loved it would definitely go back to another one if they return. So exciting to watch those massive trucks flying thru the air doing flips. Loved the pit passes that was great got to meet and take pics with the drivers. The bikes were amazing too. If I were to have anything bad it would be the lines for food those were ridiculous. Might want to improve on that.
It was an excellent show. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is too much down time. They need more exciting things to fill the time when they are setting up for the motor cross or when the trucks are getting ready/resting. Also, we couldn’t hear anything the announcer was saying on the mic. The echo was so bad.
Just having my children to experience what I used to watch 20 years ago, when monster truck rally use to be here in Honolulu back in the days. This was a night My Kids told Me they'll never forget...
WE loved everything about this event! The crowd, location, event, concession, etc! Can you please bring back the same exact tour every so much years to Hawaii! This is an event lots of people would love to attend. Thank you!
Awesome show. So much fun. It was my first but will certainly not be my last.
My kids absolutely loved the show. Id definitely go see it again or even shows similar to it. Only advice i got is if there a second night go to that show instead cause most tricks are better because its the last show
The monster truck show was awesome and my family and I had awesome time. We all loved it, loved the seats we had and can't wait to the next show. Thank you.
Monster X Tour 2019 at Aloha stadium was pure awesomeness. I'm really glad I went on the 2nd day (Sunday) because thats when all the trucks were going for broke and did all kinds of crazy stunts. Back flips were crazy, the motorcross segment was insane and it was overall a great expirence. Ever since I was a kid I've always wanted to go to a Monster Truck event. Really glad they cameback to the islands after 20+ years. Looking foward for them to return in the upcoming future.
They may not be the biggest names in the sport, but they gave everything they had! You will notice it if you are a fan of horsepower and all out driving!
This was our first time and me and my family really enjoyed it!! X Maxx was my favorite from the beginning lol. We will definitely watch it again if they comeback next year.
It was so much fun. This is the 2 Nd on we have been to and the 1 st on was ok but this one was awesome.
Brought a lot of energy and excitement - was truly entertaining and a great time to just see something - go all out and have a blast will make sure to be there again next time. Only wish they had a show a little earlier for the little one to truly enjoy it, but that is about it. Other than LEGENDARY
I was not sure what to expect. I was certainly not expecting to have as much fun as I did. As a boy mom, I sometimes have to take my boys to stuff that I don’t really enjoy so I am so glad it was as entertaining as it was. Awesome show!!
Thanks for a great show! Really enjoyed the stunts-2 wheel front end truck stand, car smashing and a monster truck somersault. Those motorbike riders did some crazy awesome jumps and stunts. Please don’t make the people of Hawaii wait another 20 years to bring back the monster truck show.
Last Monster Truck show was over 2 decades ago in Hawaii! It was great to bring my son making it 3rd generation, attending the show! Nothing but fun filled memories!
My family and I all had a blast, nothing but adrenaline and excitement all night long. I lost my voice by the end of the night because I was yelling and cheering so much and so loudly. We’d absolutely LOVE to have Monster X return to Hawaii sooner then later and sooner then 22 years which is when the last time they were here in Hawaii. Amazing show, motocross stunts, entertainment and just everything was absolutely AMAZING!
