About the Monster X Tour
The spectacle of motocross meets the brute force of monster truck mayhem in the Monster X Tour, where some of the most famous monster trucks perform stunts and compete against each other for the coveted Monster X Championship. Since 2009, such legendary names in monster trucks as Traxxas X-Maxx, Equalizer, Red Solo Truck, and the one that started it all, Bigfoot, have entertained in stadiums and arenas throughout the United States and the world for the Monster X Tour. Motocross bikers, demolition derbies, and other sideshows complete the program, contributing to a memorable night for all spectators. Monster X Tour events have taken place mainly in the Western US and worldwide, with a show in Hawaii in 2019 and occasional shows nationwide.
Monster X Tour History
Monster trucks first became popular in the late '70s and early '80s with the arrival of Bigfoot, a souped-up Ford F-250 modified by Bob Chandler. After making public appearances at tractor pulls and county fairs, Bigfoot began the monster truck tradition of crushing automobiles in 1981, establishing the iconography of an entire sport and becoming part of American popular culture. The Monster X Tour first began in 2009 and immediately established credibility with the presence of both Bigfoot Racing and Straight Up Racing. Traxxas RC racing sponsored the tour from 2016 to 2018, first as the Traxxas Monster Truck Destruction Tour, and then as the Traxxas Monster Truck Tour.
Monster X events feature several monster truck competitions, including wheelie contests, races and freestyle competitions, which allow these giant machines to do such incredible stunts as hill jumps and even backflips. The tour culminates each year with the Monster X Tour World Finals. In 2019, Ty Cornelius Jr. rode Paul Breaud's Traxxas X-Maxx truck to victory, winning the Monster X Tour championship with an average finishing score of 41.83 points out of a maximum 50.

My kids and I loved everything about this show! So exciting and interesting to watch!
Even though it was showering on & off, we had fun. The kids really liked riding on the monster truck during the pit party pass. The show was awesome & everyone was hyped. We hope this will be an annual event for Hawaii.
The seats I got was far up so I thought it would have been hard to see but actually the seats were perfect in the yellow section!!! The monster trucks was amazing with all the stunts it did and how it looked. I would love to make it an annual thing every year for my boys and the timing was perfect for boys day... đ
First of all, I would like to thank Monster X Tour for bringing monster trucks back to Hawaii. Being a Bigfoot fan for well over 30 years, it was awesome to see not one, but two Bigfoot trucks. It was cool to have met all the driver's especially Dan Runte. I met him at a Bigfoot display at O'Reilly's and got to talk with him about monster trucks. Very class act guy. As far as the show went, it was good. However, I hoped to see monster truck side by side racing. I thought the track was too small for the monster trucks. Import rally car racing and the motocross freestyle was awesome. The pit party was great. But, I'm still satisfied with the 2 shows, Sunday being the best show of the two. I'm grateful for Monster X Tour to have finally bring monster trucks back to the islands. Please come back next year and years to come!!
Very entertaining. The motocross part was AMAZING. Double Trouble's backflip made the show. But there were a lot of broken down trucks, especially in the first half.
The show was great but the parking SUCKS! Leaving the stadium took forever! Shouldâve had more police officers directing traffic in the parking lot too.
The show was entertaining. However when my 3 year old wanted a hot dog and some water 45 minutes into the show and before the intermission, we went to the concession stand. The line was moving unnecessarily slow and after waiting for almost 30 minutes we got to the front of the line. We were told they had run out of water, hot dogs, and nachos. Only soda was available. So my 3 year old had soda for dinner. Intermission started as we got our soda and the rest the stadium emptied and got in line for food.
Show was unorganized, wasnât worth the time and money I spent.
So nice to have Monster trucks back in Hawaii! Awesome show!!
