Minnesota Wild History
The state of Minnesota was without an NHL franchise for seven years after the 1993 departure of the North Stars. That void was filled when the city of Saint Paul landed the Wild as an expansion team in 2000. Hall of Famer Jacques Lemaire took over as the franchise's first head coach.
The Wild advanced to the Western Conference Final in 2002-2003 behind the play of right wing Marián Gáborík, and has gone on to post a winning record in almost every season since. Starting with the 2012-2013 season, Minnesota reached the postseason six consecutive times.
Center Mikko Koivu spent his entire NHL career with the Wild and is the franchise's all-time leader in games played, points and assists. In 2022, the Wild retired Koivu's jersey, the first player in franchise history to have a jersey retired. Overall, the Wild has qualified for the Playoffs 13 times in its history.

I have a totally blast experience at hockey game and not only because my team won. I like my seat view and food was good. I’m glad they let us in alittle early to stay warm.
This was a great experience. It was my first game and now I'm hooked! The Xcel Center is an amazing venue with not a bad seat in the house. The employees were fun and provided awesome service. Thanks for the great memory of my first Wild game!
Everything from the purchase to walkig into the Excel energy center went flawlessly.
Our visit to the Wild game was great. We had bar rail seats on the suite level. This was great because there was room to sit or stand and you have a ledge to lean on or put your drinks down. Very comfortable. Great view. Overall fun experience.
Such a great game and the atmosphere was wonderful! Great service! An overall great experience!!
Love the Wild, Love the Xcel....but please give us smokers the option of having one if we need one for the love of hockey!
absolutely ridiculous how much everything costs at a Wild game. 11 dollars for a beer and the people that serve expect a tip ? i won't be back anytime soon
The game experience was great. Fun intermissions. Great time. One suggestion figure out how to block the open area under the seat in the removable seats. Three different people lost their phones through the hole. Warning signs, some sort of mesh, something? The Excel staff was awesome and handled the lost phones fast and efficient. Thank you!
I absolutely love the Wild and was stoked when I was able to get the amazing seats I got! Seeing them play was a great experience. I only wish the tunnel (where my seats were) didn’t have the plexiglass to obstruct your view of them entering the ice.
Met some Great Hockey fans around us, Even met some Great Chicago fans with some friendly heckling. Go Wild!!
Constant errors. Unending loading. This is supposed to be very simple but unfortunately it is not.
The app showing these seats before purchase does not show how obstructed the view really was. We could only see 2/3s of the ice. You cheated us. How can you sell seats like this.
It was a great time for me qnd my daughter. Definitely going back
The game was an exciting game. We took our son and friend for his birthday. Parking was a nightmare. I bought a parking pass when I purchased the tickets. The QR Code did not show up. I had to pay twice for parking. The line to park was astronomical. We missed the first half of the first period. I’d rather watch hockey on TV if it’s that difficult to park.
Everything was great. Got the W. My service was slow bringing the tickets up on line. Thank you
Purchased 4 seats for my fam including 2 young ones - drive 6 hours only to have restricted view seats that were not displayed on the ticket.
It was an absolute blast seats were fantastic people were great
It was a fantastic experience, even if the Wild got shutout. Xcel Energy Center is an excellent arena and there's not a bad seat in the house. Plenty of options for food and drinks. Will be back again sometime this hockey season.
We had a great time last Tuesday night watching the Wild defeat the Canadiens. Our seats were 11 rows behind Montreal’s bench and we spent the night joking back and forth with some rival fans. Can’t wait to see the Wild defeat Pittsburgh on the 17th!
