MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET ON TOUR:
Hot on the heels of its Broadway run, rock and roll musical Million Dollar Quartet is on the road to tell the story of the fateful meeting between Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash at an impromptu jam session in December of 1956. The musical focuses on these newcomers before they became icons, gathered for a rare collaboration at Sun Studios in Memphis. The cast brilliantly portrays the original performers while playing each timeless track with perfection and ease. Million Dollar Quartet will have fans all shook up this summer with their red-hot 2014 tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
“This was an excellent presentation - fun, upbeat, completely a blast! The cast was full of excitement. I laughed and sang along the whole time, and I ended up on my feet with the rest of the audience, clapping and dancing. If you want a fun and lighthearted night out, go see Million Dollar Quartet!”
“This was a fantastic show! The music, the stage, the acting — all were wonderful! I wasn't bored once and all of the actors were awesome!”
“I thoroughly enjoyed the performance. It was a great story played out extremely well by the cast. The performers were great in their roles and some of them were truly outstanding musical talents. We had an enjoyable evening and would recommend this show to everyone.”

The musicians were all perfect. They performed a lot of songs--not as many as I would have liked, but easily enough to turn it into a concert with some nice historical background. I think that even someone who isn't a huge fan of any of the music from that time period would enjoy this show. Great story line ...
Great .... as much as can be expected! And more! I'd return for another Off Broadway event ... the music as performed live, hit the original songs and mannerisms of the original artists. Thanks for coming our way!
This show was amazing!! perfect cast!! just wish the audience would of been on their feet dancing!!!The cast was tremendous!! Loved the show!!
Great show - lots of energy! and so much talent! I loved the encore songs especially
Million dollar quartet was truly an entertaining show. For over 90 minutes you were transported back into time for an event that helped to shape the world of rock and roll. I especially liked the fact it was based on a true story. The encore after the story was finished was incredible. Well worth the money!
Thoroughly enjoyed the show! The cast is exceptionally talented...thought I was really back in the 50's that day.
Excellent Show!!! The participants were fabulous, especially 'Jerry Lee Lewis'. Boy, can he play the piano, I highly recommend this to my friends
From the opening scene, we were blown away by the music, humor and history of Million Dollar Quartet. We kept saying, "These are actors who are fantastic singers and instrumentalists!" They were completely believable, likeable and wonderful to watch and listen to. When I told my husband that the tickets were his Christmas present, he said it was the best gift ever. We learned about Sam Phillips of Sun Records and how Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis got their starts. Phillips was so instrumental in rock and roll. And Carl Perkins wrote so many songs that others went on to make famous. Absolutely top-of-the-line performances by Lee Ferris, Martin Kaye, Derek Keeling, Cody Slaughter, Christopher Ryan Grant, Kelly (can belt it outta the park) Lamont, Billy Shaffer and Chuck Zayas.
Enjoyable from start to finish! It was hard to stay in our seats as we wanted to jump up and dance! The time FLEW by!
We very much enjoyed the show. I think my husband was a bit apprehensive about going but once the program started he really got into the show and was extremely please that we attended. The cast was exceptional, the story line very interesting and the music was absolutely fantastic.
The location (Rochester NY Aud) was great and the show was unbelievable. The actors really portrayed their characters well.
Million Dollar Quartet on a scale from 1-10 - It was a 12!! totally ejoyable
It was cast perfectly. Johnny Cash and Elvis were the best. The encore was spectacular. We had tears in our eyes, it was so much fun and brought back the 50's all over again.
This event was such a fantastic one! It was non-stop fun! I would actually go to the event again tomorrow if it were still playing! Very, very good - the artists/musicians were just incredible! The best of the best!!!!
Excellent show with great entertainers. My husband and friends couldn't believe how fast the time went by. We could have watched these entertainers for another hour or more.
Great show, the performers were dead on. The music was live no dubbed in background. The vocals from each performer was dead on and Jerry Lee was well Jerry Lee, banging away at the piano was fun and again dead on. Elvis with his moves made you step back in time but his voice both singing and talking was Elvis. If you like Rock and Roll you gotta see this show.
i did recommend this to a friend and he went. i could have gone to every show and watched this over and over. this is what real rock and roll was...for those of you too young to have been there...these men are true legends. GREAT touring company!!!
Musicianship of entire cast was great! Early on, sound was muddying the vocals, but they got it fixed. We think of these songs as just "oldies" now, but the guys & the songs were young, hot, fresh & exciting in the 50s, and MDQ brings all those qualities to life. Loved the curtain call/encore!!!
Million Dollar Quartet not only met our expectations but blew us away with the performances and story. The actors could not have been more spot on and if anyone has a chance to see this musical, it is worth every penny!
