What is the Miami Open?
The Miami Open is a professional tennis tournament held annually in March in Miami, Florida that draws some of the top tennis talent on the men's and women's tours. Also known as the Miami Masters, it is an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event on the men's tour and a Premier Mandatory event on the women's tour. The tennis event is held at Hard Rock Stadium where the NFL's Miami Dolphins play among other events. It was previously held at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne just off the coast of Miami.
The event moved to Hard Rock Stadium after over $500 million was spent in renovations, including a new tennis campus featuring 29 permanent tournament and practice courts as well as additional food and entertainment facilities. The 14,000-seat center court within Hard Rock Stadium is designed for intimacy, luxury and a comfortable fan experience. A state-of-the-art in-stadium shade canopy and the largest video board in tennis offers a luxury seating experience.

Allow at LEAST an hour drive time if not staying on Key Biscayne. Shabby, neglected facilities, long lines for everything. Crowd energy more appropriate for soccer than tennis. Not a repeat event for me.
awesome exp watching Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal for the first time
My first time to the Open was unforgettable. Information on the event website was very informational, arriving at the site itself was easy, organized and quite quick. if you are a fan there is lot's going on so be prepared to run around finding your favorite players.
Exceptional players, exceptional game, kept me interested from beginning to end
five years attending to this event. Yet nothing negative to say except "good things". congratulations to the organization staff for another "successful year", please "keep up the good work". see you next year.
WE GO EVERY YEAR AND ALWAYS HAVE A GREAT TIME. THE PLACE IS GREAT AND WE ENJOY ALL THE MATCHES
Crandon Park is a beautiful Tennis venue, on an island called Key Biscayne. It;s a lovely clean, modern tennis environment. Most enjoyable.
Great event, the only dificult moment is transportation at night
Hottest day. Hat, creams and drinks essential. Great atmosphere Wardens on the stands over zealous and pushy
Session 13 not session 14, zverev championship 2017
My wife and I had a great time as always at the event only problem was all the seat jumping. We were in Sec 305 Row E Seats 23-24. Our tickets were checked by the usher but when we get to our seats there are people in them. After they move move people in the rows in front of us keep moving around and people are even saying "let's just sit over here". Not sure what the incentive is to buy good seats when you can just seat jump with no consequences?
Great match, increíble surroundings and great audience
Was an amazing experience, i enjoy every match, excelent organization, i just think the parking and food are expensive, but i guess is normal in this kind of events.
Everything was great at the event, except for the wi-fi connection at the foodcourt. We needed to ask for an Uber (and bein foreign we needed internet for this) but it wasn't possible.
My first Miami Open - Professional Tennis Match. In person is nothing like seeing it on television. Venus Williams is a class act, she's awesome. Players I had an opportunity to see - Nishikori, Kerber, and Nadal. I enjoyed all four matches on Sunday. I can't wait to go back.
We about frozen cold in our windy upper section but since it was late and not a lot of brave souls we were allowed to find a lower more sheltered seat. It was a wicked, cold wind.
If you are a tennis fan, go to Miami. Period! Public parking is easy with a large number of shuttles. Go to the practice courts early and get close to players.
All in all a good experience. Atmosphere was electric especially during the Nadal match.
We go to the Miami Open every other year, on average, and always have a good time. The Saturday we went was no exception. The outside temperature was allegedly 79°. But inside the stadium, it felt more like 90° in the direct sunlight. The vast majority of the seats have no shade at any time during the matches. We "baked" from 11am until 3pm, when at last, there were a few clouds. We were prepared with hats, long sleeves and sunscreen, but still. In 2017, a major sports facility should treat its guests better. At least we didn't get rained out for hours like the people at the night session did. So, I'll still recommend the Miami Open, but be prepared!
