This show was amazing. They sounded even better than their recordings if that's possible. Jonas, the singer, gave it his all and then some... the band was great all around! Really enjoyable.

Amazing concert... The music of MEW is like no other, you can here the songs over and over again. Each song is different which makes them unique.

If you like Mew's new record go and see them live, the performance is flawless, in fact I will say that at times it's even better!!! GO SEE THEM!!!

It was a very fun concert, I enjoyed every piece of song that Mew played. It was just wonderful.

With a great mix of old and new, Mew really blew the roof off of Webster Hall, and it was readily apparent that everyone was having a great time; in fact, I think it was the most pure fun I've had at a show in a long time. Mew blends great sonic atmospherics with rich vocal layerings, but can still rock out. I read somewhere that they call themselves the world's only "indie stadium rock band", and it's very true. I highly recommend Mew to everyone.

So, they didn't end the show with their usual Comforting Sounds, and I admit I doubted the show had actually ended, but after careful consideration, why not end it with something else. So far they've always ended their shows with that song, so why not change it up a bit. I also really appreciated the pleasant and simple change that they made to the song New Terrain. A lot better than the recording I think. The show was simply unforgettable, and as always, Silas and Jonas stole the show =)

new songs showed better than old ones which seemed to have almost "medley" character in their punctuated form. I was hoping that some of those songs would have showed better live. But Furtunately the new songs seems to have a composition that shows really well live. Otherwise the band plays extremely well, with singing being pitch perfect. Though their stage show is a visualization of frozen nordic snowmen..

Really amazing. Mew sounds better live than on their CDs. Jonas' voice is far reaching and it was a very energetic concert. I also love how they used background visuals and nice lighting to enhance their performance. I couldn't help but move to their beats! Silas and Bo are rockin' on their instruments. The crowd was never bored!!!! I sang along to every song! =) Recommended band and location! On top of that, they played some of their older songs even though I thought they would only play off their new album - since Jonah left.

Every time these guys come to town, I have to go to the show because I know it will be a solid performance. This time around, there was a new intro, new video projections and the addition of a smaller screen behind Bo, as well as a different encore (Im used to seeing Comforting Sounds, which never gets old). There was a piano interlude/medley by (mostly) Jonas combining 'Nervous' with 'She Came Home for Christmas' and 'Reprise' that was pretty wonderful. Some creepy new projections of some sort of animal skull with antlers, and a bear that appears to be hanging from a noose (I was watching from a semi-blocked angle, did Bo voice the bear or was that a recording?). They played a few songs I dont think Ive heard live before, including 'Saviors of Jazz Balet' and 'Louise, Louisa". Overall, everything sounded amazing, Jonas' voice was every bit as good as on the records, and Silas and Bo were equally impressive and had total stage presence. I could go on gushing, but you get the point.

After the worst opening act in ages, much due to the horrible, horrible, sound Mew took the stage. Through great sound and powerful video clips the put on an amazing show.

This band should be huge. They're so unique, innovative, emotional, talented and they put on such a great show, musically and visually. They played the best songs from the past 3 albums. The songs they did for their encore weren't exactly "fan favorites" so it didn't really end with a climatic finale, but it didn't matter much because their normal set was so magnificent.

As the title suggests, Mew was definitely the best concert I've ever attended. They played for a long time and hit a majority of their favored songs. The best-known singles were hit all in a row within the first hour--it was before they even made a proper greeting!

I had high hopes for this show but the crowd's lack of energy was equally matched by the lead singer's uninspired performance. The highlight of the show was the freaky well produced videos projected behind the band.

Great band live! Heavy, rich sounding... Good pacing during the set. Opened strong, closed well and gave lots of variety and mood variation throughout. Go see them!

The music (of course) was great; it's Mew, after all. I was really impressed with quality of the performance. Jonas can sing. in concert. well. The visuals were engrossing, and kind of disturbing. I'm also really happy that they included so much material from Frengers (which I think is their best album) I had a really, really crappy week and Mew saved it.

mew was absolutely perfect. One of the best bands live i have ever seen. I came with extremely high standards and they were surpassed substantially. Encore was also awesome. Only problem was the crowd. Too many tourists with phanny packs and cameras, it was a bit weird. I suppose that is just webster hall because its so famous. Except for that though, GO SEE MEW.

the visual backgrounds combined with the singing and instrumentals was a true out of this world experience!!!

Well... what can I say? It was quite possibly the single most incredible experience of my life. Everything about it came together like a movie or a story; no more stories are told today, indeed. :P It started with a brilliant upbeat introduction featuring Am I Wry? No going into 156 just like on the Frengers album. Then a sudden jump into Hawaii from No More Stories brought it down a bit but no too much. It was just enough to relax the audience with sweet tropical surreal melodies just before entering back into the heavy guitar and drums in the catchy beats of Special and The Zookeeper's Boy. The Seething Rain Weeps for You (Uda Pruda) smoothly finished the And the Glass Handed Kites trio, leading into a beautiful mix of songs from Frengers and And the Glass Handed Kites. Repeaterbeater and Eight Flew Over, One Was Destroyed provided a nice transition into the slow, hopeful and uplifting Silas the Magic Car and Sometimes Life Isn't Easy. Beach combined these happy melodies with a faster pace to provide for a perfect movement into my personal favorite, Snow Brigade, whose icy emotion and imagery froze me in awe and beautifully ended the main act. The encores were perhaps the most beautiful and soothing parts of the show, which made for a flawless and unforgettable ending. Another And the Glass Handed Kites trio, featuring a variety of feelings and tempos served for fantastic movement into the closing of the first encore, which featured the "comforting sounds" of a new act of theirs, Bamse (Bear). One would have to be pretty cold not to feel moved in any way as Bamse recited his heartwarming message to the audience. Bamse's words appropriately transitioned into the second encore, which featured Comforting Sounds to end one ultimately indescribable, emotional concert. The whole setup and mood of the show was perfect too. The instruments were positioned around the sides of the stage as to not block anyone's view of the screens, which were always providing imagery that beautifully matched the mood of whatever was being played. I love the overall modest feel that Mew has as they perform. Perhaps its a cultural difference, but I definitely got the feeling that they value their audience more than anything else and that they never indulge themselves in spite of their successes. If I could, I would give this concert 6 stars. Ultimately, every component came together to provide an experience that immersed the audience in the music's world. Mew has this inexplicable sense of empathy that undeniably shows all of their frengers just how much they really care.

I would totally pay to see this band live again!!! I love them so much, they played a great set, it was longer than I expected and it could have kept going and I would be there watching the entire thing!!!

Mew was amazing. You know a band is good when they sound like their recordings in live performance, and these guys did not disappoint. They creatively changed up some of their songs, which I loved, and overall were incredible, musically and performance-wise. <3
