This one-man fusion of theatre and stand-up is based on the New York Times #1 best-selling book of the last decade by John Gray. Moving swiftly through a series of vignettes, the show covers everything from dating and marriage to the bedroom but Men Are From Mars – Women Are From Venus LIVE! is more than just the book.
After beginning in Paris in 2007, Men are From Mars–Women are From Venus LIVE! has been seen by more than one million people around Europe. It debuted in the United States in February 2013 in Raleigh, North Carolina and will be playing to audiences around the United States and Canada throughout the year.
When Mars and Venus collide, the adventures are earth-shatteringly hysterical! This show will have couples elbowing each other all evening.
Sexy and fast paced, this show is definitely for adults. It’s a great recipe for a night out: a little storytelling blended with some comedy and a dash of sage wisdom from the book.
Not overly funny. I laughed a couple of times, but not really funny. Too long, we left at the intermission.
I had no idea this was a one man show. Amadeo kept it fast paced and very entertaining for the entier audience. He was very funny and so true to life at the same time. Shea's 710 Theatre is very nice! I was surprised at all the leg room we had so we didn't trip over people getting into our seats. Very comfortable theatre, clean, updated and well organized!
It was a hoot from beginning to end! We haven't laughed that much in years. The guy was very entertaining well as the subject matter. He had control of the audience right from the start no warm-up necessary! So glad I took the chance on the tickets!
This was an excellent show. I really didn’t know what to expect but it was so funny and you could really relate to it. The guy that ran it was fantastic and kept the audience very engaged.
The lead role was well executed. The script was extremely clever and well written. His re-enactments of the “thought” process were spot on. A hysterical satire of relatable true to life scenarios and perspectives. Finding the lighter side to the ups & downs, and the thought processes of men and women. Through life’s sequence of events
When I first realized the event format was a one-man show, I was a bit skeptical. Once the show started though, I was full in. The solo actor had an enormous amount of personality and did a fantastic job with the male / female subject matter. He played well to the audience and involved some members to just the correct degree. I'd recommend this show as a nice couples outing.
Didn’t realize it was a one man show. Thought there’d more give and take between 2-genders.
This show was hysterical! It was a great date night!
Laughed hard the whole show. Didn’t know what to expect but it exceeding my expectations!
Show was very funny with a wham bam lesson slipped in between. I didnt take my husband but wished the entire time that I had. Lots of men seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Relied heavily on sexual jokes. Had little to do with the book. Could use better stories/writing and stronger ties with the book outline/concepts. Entertaining but unremarkable.
what a great show! very entertaining. he kept everything flowing and kept the crowd engaged for almost 2 hours. not enough publicity. would love to have seen a full house.. but we had a great time!!
The show was just ok, the actor was good, the language and actions were crude. I would recommend going to this show.
It was very entertaining and funny, the actor has amazing talent. We had a great time!
I wasn't sure what to expect. I wasn't sure if this was a play or what but as it turned out it was a life lesson on the differences between men and women portrayed in a hilarious way! Had a great time! Thoroughly enjoyed it! Kept me entertained the whole time!
Not worth the money. Stereotyping women and men - like we are all the same. We are individuals, everyone is different.
Wasn't sure what to expect for this play as I had not read up on it but I was very pleasantly surprised! Absolutely loved the show and was amazed at how incredibly skilled and funny the sole performer was. He held my attention throughout the whole 2 1/2 hours of the show adn left me wanting more! Would recommend both Men and Women go and see this if they can. Wish I could give more than just 5 STARS above!!!
The book is very interesting and touches on issues that help improve the relationship, but he spent 90% of the time telling anecdotes of his marriage, so the book was never really discussed.
Very enjoyable would recommend to friends. Cxxxxxxxcx
It was nearly impossible to keep my eyes open. Actually, they were closed about 85% of the show. The host was reasonably entertaining but when he acted like his wife he was so disrespectful it was nauseating. I wasn't sure there was a point to the show. When intermission occurred, I would've left had my mom agreed. She was into it and wanted to stay. Maybe its an age thing? I'm 49 and mom is 77. I can't believe I paid for that. At least we had good seats.
