About

This one-man fusion of theatre and stand-up is based on the New York Times #1 best-selling book of the last decade by John Gray. Moving swiftly through a series of vignettes, the show covers everything from dating and marriage to the bedroom but Men Are From Mars – Women Are From Venus LIVE! is more than just the book.

After beginning in Paris in 2007, Men are From Mars–Women are From Venus LIVE! has been seen by more than one million people around Europe. It debuted in the United States in February 2013 in Raleigh, North Carolina and will be playing to audiences around the United States and Canada throughout the year.

When Mars and Venus collide, the adventures are earth-shatteringly hysterical! This show will have couples elbowing each other all evening.

Sexy and fast paced, this show is definitely for adults. It’s a great recipe for a night out: a little storytelling blended with some comedy and a dash of sage wisdom from the book.

We wasn't sure what to expect but purchased tickets hoping for the best. This show is so funny and true. We laughed the whole time and also learned ways to make our marriage much better! I would recommend this to anyone who is married!

    Good, not great

by Golfingman on 6/11/13Von Braun Center Playhouse - Huntsville

Good, not great. The storyline was very similar to Caveman. Seemed a little one sided as it was portrayed by a male actor. Funny, very funny at times.

It was a one man show. I was expecting exchanges between a male and a female at the least.

I attended this show with my husband along with my mom and her boyfriend. We all thought the show was excellent. We were not sure what to expect from the show, but it certainly made us laugh and learn. We would definitely recommended the show when it comes back.

    Outstanding Show!

by jdw19 on 3/8/13Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

The performance was wonderful! Sometimes you feel like you don’t get your money’s worth, but this show was worth it. The comedian was funny, sensitive, knowledgeable, and the addition of the video from the author John Gray was fantastic. This show is not to be missed! I am going again!

    This was a fun show

by Gma43 on 2/3/13Progress Energy Center Raleigh Memorial Auditorium - Raleigh

This show either didn't get enough publicity or people just didn't know what to expect because the theater was half empty. It shouldn't have been. This was fun and entertaining and informative too. I went with a friend but this would be really good to see with your spouse or partner.

Thrilled we decided to attend at the last minute. Laughing at the interactions of men and women - while learning a bit about how to better interact.

    Not great

by DROOAND on 2/3/13Progress Energy Center Raleigh Memorial Auditorium - Raleigh

Looking for a comedy, ended up with a couple's therapy session. This was about an hour and a half too long as well. Not a great show and the description is a little misleading

Men Are From Mars - Women Are From Venus - Live

Worst Show I have seen in Years. Wasn't worth my time and certainly not the money we paid for tickets. This show was so BAD we left at intermission. Should have left sooner as I saw several folk.s do. I was suckered in by the title - Now I know why it was a one day engagement - word of mouth would have shut the show down!

    Great material, bad presentation

by Anonymous on 2/3/13Progress Energy Center Raleigh Memorial Auditorium - Raleigh

The act material was interesting and dead-on when it comes to the differences between men and women! However, the comedian, Matt Iseman was awkward and treated the show more as acting than comedy. Even his quote, "I love this character" demonstrates that he sees this as a venue for acting rather than comedy. It is hard to describe, but the way he came out on stage, went to intermission, and even ended the show were quite awkward and borderline uncomfortable. It never delivered. The book is a great jumping off point to do something like this, but they have the wrong comedian and the wrong approach. It seemed long, though it wasn't. And the comedian was over-acting and playing up each point way too much, bordering on preachy at times. I would recommend passing on this show!

Men's answer to the Vigina Dialogue

by J0ul3ls on 2/3/13Progress Energy Center Raleigh Memorial Auditorium - Raleigh

Matt Iseman does a fantastic job of "explaining" the difference between men's and women's communication! The "conference" is funny, relevant to today's society, and makes you go away thinking.

OK performance, nothing special. Subject matter could have been a lot funnier, but the presentation left a little to be desired.
