    Funny and Sassy

by DrMOM2 on 4/15/18August Wilson Theatre - New York

Though critics did not give it rave reviews, I thought it was funny, charming and a perfect Wed. matinee event. Definitely for the ladies only; men don't usually care for this silly fru, fru stuff but, too bad for them! The show is very similar to the movie, story line is simple. I think it will go over big with the public despite the high brow ciritcs' comments.

    A Great Night Out!

by eastwest6566 on 4/15/18August Wilson Theatre - New York

I bought the tickets on a whim, thinking it might be a fun night out. I loved the movie, but I’m always a bit dubious when things get transferred to Broadway, but trust- this was a successful transition. The cast, the staging, and Tina Fey’s book were all great, but it was the lyrics and music that really scored with me. I couldn’t stop laughing my head off listening to those words- It is a worthwhile night !!

Tons of Fun! Lots of Truth!

by AGE818 on 4/14/18August Wilson Theatre - New York

Mean Girls has it all: super music, amazing dancing, fabulous energy and a message (but not too heavy handed)! Loved it. Smiled the entire show.

    Really energetic

by Arts23 on 4/14/18August Wilson Theatre - New York

For someone who knew nothing about the show premise, I found it to be a very entertaining show. The cast was energetic throughout and the music was catchy. The song sung by one of the women about not being good enough made you feel that no one should feel that bad about her self. The scenic design was the best projection design I've seen to date. The show's ending wasn't too much of a surprise and resonates with some of the themes of the 'me too' movement that girls need to stick together and shouldn't be mean to one another. It's a cute show.

    A very funny show

by SecretVagabond on 4/13/18August Wilson Theatre - New York

I attended with my 15-year-old daughter and 12-year-old son. My daughter and I LOVED the show. My son loved it by the end. There were a few parts of gratuitous crassness that made me cringe. Mostly, the show was very funny and highly enjoyable. I’d recommend it and see it again. Im not puritanical, but I’m not sure I’d bring younger kids to it. Although, much of the humor may go over their cliched heads. The musical numbers progressed the plot but weren’t memorable; it was more about the fine performances and humor. The tap number was great. We left smiling and thinking the evening passed quickly. If someone in your party has ambulatory issues, read the theater’s accessibility information. MEAN GIRLS WAS SO FETCH! AND GROOL!

by RayPad on 4/10/18August Wilson Theatre - New York

This was one of my favorite musicals. Ever. And, I've seen Hamilton 5 times! This cast is sooooo talented. And, Tina Fey and the production crew did a great job bringing it to the small stage. The August Wilson theater is a great venue! Not a bad seat in the house!!!

    Disappointing

by TheaterFan28 on 4/10/18August Wilson Theatre - New York

Save your money. The musical is forgettable, the dance numbers repetitive -- too many dances with lunch trays -- and too long.

Laugh out loud from start to finish

by felicia24 on 4/10/18August Wilson Theatre - New York

Quite honestly it was so funny I liked it better than the movie. They did an amazing job creating scenes with few props and a digital background. It is cast perfectly. There are musical numbers with pencils and trays that were so well done. Bravo to you all - we loved it!

    So talented

by Genderbender on 4/10/18August Wilson Theatre - New York

What a fun filled show. The young actors were so talented and believable. The time flew by and I didn't want it to end. Can't wait to bring my grandchildren.
