I had read the glowing review in the Chicago Sun Times so I went to the show with high expectations and was not disappointed! The entire cast was marvelous, the costumes, the staging, everything was top notch. But the King (Andrew Ramcharan Guilarte) and Anna (Heidi Kettenring) were truly outstanding! It's not easy to follow everyone's memories of a classic but they did a fantastic job.
very well done, a must see! The actors had amazing voices, the production was very well done. Love to see it a second time.
THe actors were not bad. The play was not good. This was supposed to be theater in the round. All I saw was the back of Anna's not so good wig. The kids were cute. Not the most enjoyable theater experience we have had. We would not go back.
This was an incredible play. Yul Brenner is looking down and smiling at all of these actors!
One of the absolute best performances I have seen EVER! Every performer Broadway caliber and beyond charming.
The King and I has never been one of my favorite musicals. In fact, I had only seen bits and pieces of it on TV and was not impressed. But seeing it live at the Marriott Theater blew me away! It was an amazing show. All the actors were excellent and the singing was definitely Broadway caliber. The child actors were not only cute but they were amazing as well. I am still not a fan of the movie but I loved this show! The King and I is absolutely worth seeing at the Marriott. You will not be disappointed.
mrs. ana was phenomenal-great acting. every moment of the show was worth watching.
Excellent musical with great voices. Very intimate setting - very close to actors/singers.
First time at the Marriott Theatre - beautiful facility! The King & I was performed perfectly - all of the show was unforgettable. I especially enjoyed the seating all around the stage - you feel as though you are a part of the cast.
I am not a big play fanatic, but all I can say is this was amazing. Not only great seats so close to the stage, but also the combination of children and adults blending perfectly gave it a standing O.
