A mother. A daughter. 3 possible dads.
And a trip down the aisle you'll never forget!
Set on a Greek island paradise where the sun always shines, a tale of love, friendship, and identity is beautifully told through the timeless hits of ABBA. For nearly 25 years, people all around the world have fallen in love with the characters, the story, and the music that make MAMMA MIA! the ultimate feel-good show.
We really enjoyed the show and came out feeling uplifted. A+
I commented as we left the play, this MAMA MIA Production was the most fun and enjoyable play or movie I can ever remember seeing. The music, and, of course story, was brilliantly produced, and all the cast's acting and singing was superb. Again, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed this production.
Best show I have seen in many years. The voices were strong and the cast was extremely impressive! We had a WONDERFUL time at the show.
My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed this performance. They all did a fantastic job. We regret not obtaining seats a bit closer to the stage, as some of the moves & comments made by the actors were a bit difficult to see/understand, from the nose-bleed seats. But the location of our seats didn't diminish our enjoyment of the production at all.
Saw Mama Mia at the UofA Centennial Hall. Show was great but the acoustics in the venue wasn't very good. They need an upgraded speaker system. When the music or the singers got to loud you couldnt understand them. Been to several Mama Mia shows at other cities but this Tucson venue has by far the worst sound system,
Enthusiastic performers and clever set rotation Music was too loud and we suspect more than normal lip sync.
At Centennial Hall, Tucson, Mama Mia was great. The cast, dancers, singers, orchestra pit band- were all top notch. The Hall has always had acoustic problems and it is difficult to understand lyrics and dialogue at times, so I went for the headset they had available, which really made it more enjoyable. They have a small closed caption screen on one side of the stage which is all but unreadable if you don't sit close to it on that side of the stage- something they should make clear. Actually it is almost impossible to find any information on which performances this is available for. We went Sunday night because it was only used then. However, the headset was so much better. You could watch the show, not the screen. The mix of voices and music was excellently done in the headset as well. The band was absolutely killer. It's a fun, rocking show.
The show was so much fun! The music, the dancing! My only complaint is that the venue needs to update their seats. They were a bit uncomfortable after a while. This was my second time watching the show and I will be back for a third
I expected the show to be really good - but it was Amazing!!! Every performer had super strong voices. The entire production exceeded my expectations and it was a great night!!
Love to see live performances. The play was both funny and entertaining. The only negative is with Centennial hall. It is in bad need of renovation nrw seats that are showing their age. Upgraded ways to show the projected props that are part of the show and a complete new sound system instead of the patch work they have now.
Centennial Hall is a great venue. Easy access, great sightlines. Mama Mia was so much fun. Been here many times and have never been disappointed. This show we showed with a guest who could not manage the stairs to the Mezzanine, staff worked to find us seats on the orchestra floor the guest could easily walk to. They even too her walker after she sat down and brought it to her at the end of the show. Above and beyond customer service.
The worse play I ever saw!! It was so loud and the so going wasn't good.
I saw this with my wife, sister, and brother-in-law. We all really enjoyed this. My wife and brother-in-law had never seen Mamma Mia, My sister loves mamma Mia and said this was her favorite rendition.
I have seen at least 5 versions of this production. This one ranked last. Maybe I expected too much for the 25 Year Anniversary. I expected it to rank at or near the top. The singing was fine, not great, except for the male trio of suitors, they were exceptional. The dancing was well executed and the staging was excellent. What was really lacking is that the production did NOT utilize a full stage orchestra. As a result, the accompanying music was weak, inadequate at times. Most the play's songs require a full wall of sound. At times it felt as if one was listening to the sound on one's phone. I understand saving money by not hiring musicians but it's 25 years and it's supposed to be special. They cut the wrong corners on this one.
It was an Amazing experience, the singing was great, top tier I would definitely Recommend for people of all ages.
Great cast, wonderful music, great audience and any awesome experience.
Great entertainment! Great music, dancing, fun and full of energy!
The cast was fantastic, great singing and dancing. The big numbers had the the whole audience engaged. The orchestra and production crew did an amazing job. I will definitely see more productions in the future.
Many of us have seen Mama Mia before. This cast really stepped up and gave a great performance--all of them. The sound system at Centennial Hall remains a mystery as they refuse to put in a decent sound system. Because it is so inadequate it handicaps all the performances. I gave the show a 4 instead of a 5 because of the sound system--which is a widely , well known fact to be poor.
I've been to Mamma Mia 3 times, twice in Dallas and once in Vegas. This time around, Dallas got it right! The volume on the music 20 years ago in Dallas was "subdued". After experiencing the loud(ish) and high energy performance in Vegas, I was disappointed the first time in Dallas. But...THIS TIME THE MUSIC WAS LOUD AND ENERGETIC! The whole night was fun, fun, fun!! The vocal talent matched the Broadway CD I've listened to for years. All in all, this musical was a WINNER!!
