About

Madonna launched her debut tour in 1985 — The Virgin Tour — in the United States and Canada. Shortly thereafter, she toured the world for the first time, embarking in 1987 in support of Who's That Girl. Over the ensuing four decades, Madonna would ignite the world with the most controversial and dynamic pop shows ever mounted, selling out nearly every tour — in its entirety — in seconds. To date, Madonna has performed about 700 shows across 11 concert tours, generating over $1 billion in ticket sales, and is the highest-grossing female touring artist of all time.

    Madonna in Boston

by RPMA on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

No explanation for 2 hour delay while pathetic dj went on and on for 90 minutes. Had to leave at 11:15 when show half over. Refunds should be provided as this was a disgrace.

    Madonna

    by Kelly20121234 on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

She went on at 10:20 -10:30. Therefore we waited 2.5 hours. I think it was insulting to her vans. I think she also should have played more of her old music/hits and when she played an old song she remixed it to the point it wasnt reconized.

    What was THAT?

by Onceahugefan on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

Does Madonna know her target audience? Or did I miss the memo that 80s dance music is no longer her thing? Did she realize the number of middle aged moms trying to get kids off to their first day of school the next day - you stood us up for 2 hours?! Seriously? If tickets were not $200 each, this group would have left. Especially after the booing of the endless Techno DJ. Not sure at all what we witnessed that night. Still disturbed with the visual of the dancers committing suicide one after the other. DID like the suspended drummers and seeing her son in action. And... did she really call us Boston MotherFuckers?!! REALLY? Refund please.

Madonna came on two hours late

    by Musicfan9151 on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

The tickets for the show state an 8 pm start time. At about 8:30 a D.J. Starts spinning tunes. People tell us she's not coming on till after 10:00. So, being a Tuesday night, I wasn't happy about how late this was going to be. Her show continued to disappoint me, I felt it was just too dark and violent.

    Madonna--Not that great!

by Anonymous on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

When you think of Madonna..you think unforgettable..well not so much! Ticket prices were OUTRAGEOUS! The show was supposed to start at 8pm and she didn't take the stage until 10:15 with a DJ playing for the 2 hours before. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!

    Madonna bombed

by bombed on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

made us wait 2.5 hrs before coming on the stage and when she finally got on, the show sucked. Definitely not worth the money we spent to see her and will never see her again or buy any of her music. The balls on her to keep us all waiting. We saw her back in the 90's and the show was incredible but this one was real bad. Retire Madonna and don't make us waste our money. Or better yet, we want a refund!

Didn't appreciate the show starting at 10:15 when the ticket said 8:00. I was assuming it would start by 9. awful seats to have to sit in to wait.

Too late for a school night/ Satanic Rituals

by LongTimeFanWellesley on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

I loved it once it came on and once all of the macabre stuff and Satanic rituals were done with. I go there to be entertained... and while I respect her rights as an Artist, I felt the Satanic rituals and violence was not to my liking. I brought in a girlfriend, whose husband was just diagnosed with a serious illness and probably fatal and this was meant to take her mind off it. I almost walked out and offered to do so. However, it took too long to come on and while I love Madonna, I would not EVER go again on a working night... My body is not like hers and I have a job to go to the next day... I also have responsibilities as a Mom. Perhaps I am not her target audience.

    Madonna tardy but terrific

by Anonymous on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

I think it should be made known in advance what time the audience can expect to see Madonna make her appearance. She doesn't come on stage until 10:15 - 10:30. Ever. From what I've read since. For those of us who had no way home besides the train (last one leaves North Station at 11:20 which is a perfect time for any other concert I've been to at TD Garden since concerts usually end at 11:00), in the case of Madonna, we only got to see 40 minutes of her two-hour performance. And she saved the best for last it seems from reading other reviews. Besides the timing, from what I saw she is a great performer and I would love the opportunity to see her again. But next time I will spend the night so I can see the entire performance.

    Suuuuper late start

    by mfagley2678 on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

I get it. She's Madonna. But 2 1/2 hours late to get on stage is too much. Having paid decent money ($115 each) for our tickets and the seats were just about the worst in the whole venue and then having to wait 2 1/2 hours for her to hit the stage was maddening. We were 2 BFF's with 2 kids each out for our first Madonna concert. The show was great (once it finally started) but we had to leave before it was over because we had a 2+ hour commute and had to get our kids up for school. Again, I get it, she's Madonna but when is there some loyalty and justice to her fans. Afterall, we paid out hard earned money to be there, took time out of our lives to go and she wasted 2 1/2 hours of good showtime.....not impressed.

Opener was lame, no name dj, boring basic EDM. Madonna came TWO hours later. By that time we were pissed. Her show was ok but not amazing. Singing mediocre, and she Did lipsink at times. sad. used to be #1 but on her way out now. Save yer $.

She was late and we paid to watch a DJ

    by mimi333999 on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

$900 for 2 tickets with a start time of 8PM DJ game out at 8:20 and played for 90 minutes. Was awful. Then we watched the stage crew set up for 30 min. Madonna finally came out at 10:30 and show was good but had to leave by 11:40 to catch the last train out of Boston.

Excellent show, could skip the waiting

    by ak66 on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

Madonna gave a fantastic show but having to wait 2:30 hours for her to perform when all the information available said doors at 7, show at 8 and didn't list an opening act was unfortunate.

    WORST.SHOW.EVER.

by TheRealEllen on 8/30/12Wells Fargo Center - Philadelphia

10:30 start, first 30 minutes dark, disturbing and completely auto-tuned, and during one of three great performances she acted like a petulant child instead of a mature mentor and trashed Lady Gaga. Just sing the songs, Madonna, instead of re-arranging them to be....I don't even know what you were trying to be. Not entertaining, I know that. I'm sad that my first Madonna concert will be my last.

    Simply put....AMAZING!

by James5678 on 7/23/12Stade de France - Paris

There are a lot of Madonna haters out there. I, for one, don't consider myself a huge fan. Regardless, I attended her show while in Paris and can honestly say it is the BEST CONCERT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! My favorite performances included Girl Gone Wild, Express Yourself, I'm a Sinner and the closing number, Celebration (a song I never really did like, but it works brilliantly live!) Worth every penny.

    Seen one, seen it all

by MikeCheck12 on 6/5/12Philips Arena - Atlanta, GA

If you've seen one Madonna concert you've seen them all. They're all pretty much identical with a handful of songs interchanged throughout. Slightly entertaining, but boredome enducing if you've seen her previously.
