About

Madonna launched her debut tour in 1985 — The Virgin Tour — in the United States and Canada. Shortly thereafter, she toured the world for the first time, embarking in 1987 in support of Who's That Girl. Over the ensuing four decades, Madonna would ignite the world with the most controversial and dynamic pop shows ever mounted, selling out nearly every tour — in its entirety — in seconds. To date, Madonna has performed about 700 shows across 11 concert tours, generating over $1 billion in ticket sales, and is the highest-grossing female touring artist of all time.

"Madonna was totally worth the wait!"

    by Yasgur69 on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

Madonna was absolutely AMAZING and her MDNA Tour was everything and MORE than any Madonna or Music fan could hope for. I felt the DJ, Tony Bermudez, that opened the show for Madonna was good but out there a bit too long. It would have been nice for an additional opening act OR have Madonna start her concert sooner that 10:30 PM. It was totally worth the wait!! ~ I look forward to seeing Madonna again and MDNA was "Off the Hook!! ~ AMAZING!!

    MDNA is amazing

    by NoyNoy1 on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

I knew ahead of time that the show would not start on time, so it didn't bother me that she did not start until 10:15 pm. Seeing Express Yourself, GMAYL, & LAP live was breathtaking. Madonna was so energetic and exuded such positive vibes. Her speech before Masterpiece was inspirational, as well as lighthearted. Overall, I was not disappointed. She is a top notch performer. Phenomenal show!

    Madonna is rude

by Efdfire on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

First the temp.in the place was 90+ degrees, then she did not come on until 10:30 pm,A very long wait. She played 23 songs and 4 or 5 she was not on stage it was a video.I would not pay that kind of money to see her again. Be warned you are in for a long wait and dress for a very hot night.

    Madonna - Too Much Violence

by chapita on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

What a disappointing concert. With what is going on in today's world and with the recent movie shooting incident, I was very surprised by Madonna's action to have so much violence used on stage as her theatrics. We were ready to leaving into the 2nd song due to the uncomfortable show she was giving. We decided to stick it out and then only became more disappointed with the auto tuned voice that was used and the display of videos on screen and listening to her music when she should have been on stage singing. It was also very disappointing that she started so late, and for what reason. I left early as this was a concert that was a waist of my time.

    Unbelievable and Fantastic!

by bernieco on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

one thing that had me upset was that we were in our seats by 8PM and Madonna didn't go on until after 10pm....and there was just a DJ as her opening act...he was good, but after 30 minutes if got frustrating.....

Madonna rocked it like a 20 yr old

    by krummy26 on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

Overall a great, high energy show. she danced like she was 22 again through the whole show. Not overly impressed with her slowed down, accapella version of "like a virgin" and her set of 3 of her new songs were a good time to use the restroom but other than that great show. She did start a hour late and even the concession stands were closed before she went on stage. comments were made that she may have cut her show short to comply with closing time of the arena of midnight but they seemed to make an exception for her since her 1 song encore ended at 12:15am.

Two and a half hour wait too long but great show

    by Tebby2 on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

We bought $355 tickets ($375 with fees) in February, looked forward to the show for eight months, planned the one-hour drive into Boston, then had to leave the show before it ended to get out of the parking lot before it closed at 12:30. Even a two hour delay would have been ok but two and a half was too much! Tuesday night in Boston not ready for late nights. During the wait the people sitting around us made multiple trips to the bar and were very drunk by the time the show began, spilling beer on people, etc. The DJ played too long, the break after he finished was distracting and broke any party mood established by the DJ. That said, the show itself was fantastic, Madonna really delivers in performance, innovative, fun, colorful, exciting, imaginative and it just got better as it went along. Another reason why it was so upsetting to have to leave before the end!

2 1/2 hours late without any announcement. Missed entire show because train back home was at 1030pm...show was supposed to start at 8pm with no opening act.

    Madonna

by jzevon on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

Madonna show was absolutely amazing. She is a true talent, but that be said it was disrespectful to here fans to make them wait over 2 hours for her to perform. I have been to several of her shows over the years and this was the first time I was annoyed by having to wait so long.

Disappointed by Madonna's lack of respect :(

    by Susan6708 on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

I am one of Madonna's biggest fans. Ask my friends.. I loved every second of the concert. I loved her beauty. I smiled through every second of her performance. But the fact that she came out 2 1/2 hours late is even hard for a die hard fan to endure and to subject us to listening to extremely loud techno the whole time. She has a huge range of fans by age. I saw a 6 year old in the mosh pit. The people around me of all different age groups were getting up and going for walks and for more beer to take a break from the DJ music. So I was surrounded by a lot of drunk & bored fans. I heard a lot of people just gave up and left. For a show that was supposed to start at 8:00. I did not home till 2:30... I live 45 mins away. Ok. I love her with all my heart but felt unloved by her. :(

    Madonna Does it Better

by xchucko on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

Yes, she starts her set later than most concerts but she's not "Late" and yes the set-list could have utilized more of her incredible history of Top 40 Hits but Madonna is never one to repeat herself and the MDNA tour is top-notch. With a specially reserved section for fans in front - the energy from Madonna and the crew translates throughout the venue more than ever. Visually it's a whirlwind of seedy motels, flying marching bands, Gothic cathedrals and psychedelia. The music from MDNA, which you get included with your tickets when purchasing on Ticketmaster, features prominently but classics like Express Yourself, Like A Prayer, Open Your Heart, Papa Don't Preach ,Vogue and even a cover of Gaga's " Born This Way" highlight the set. It's just too bad that U.S. Radio doesn't support her new music ,relative to the interest in her, so that casual fans would be more familiar with it.

Madonna was okay but still disappointed

by frpratt on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

The show started 2-1/2 hours late. Ticket stated 8:00 pm. She didn't take the stage until 10:30. Then we missed the end of her act since we had to catch the last train at 12:10 am. She performed until 12:30 or so. I was really disappointed that we did not get to see the end of her act. In addition, I paid for crappy seats behind the stage with obstructed view. I guess that was my fault, but I don't think they should have allowed those seats to be sold. With that being said, she looked great and had high energy! I don't know if I would pay that much again for a Madonna concert, but at least I can check it off my bucket list.

Madonna was 2 1/2 hour late!!!!!

by Bmbterr on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

The show was not one her best performances and definitely not worth the price of the ticket. She played for an hour an a half while the DJ played for two an half hours.

    Madonna was "Hung Up"....

    by RickB200 on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

I am a HUGE fan but struggled with the show - sorry! It was violent and disjointed. I did not understand it at all. The sound in the beginning was sooooo off - I played several Youtube versions of her opening number and they all sound like they are in some tin house - weird - Not sure if she was singing live? Her energy is amazing although I felt the show reeked of desperation! I love the MDNA CD - but her performances of quite a few songs made me turn to my iPhone to be entertained. WHAT PISSED ME OFF THE MOST WAS COMING OUT AT 10:15! The ticket said 8:00 pm. Was the show worth the $381.50 - No! Her opener - local DJ Joe Bermudez was awful too - I did not go to see Madonna and hear someone spin Top40 badly! If I was offered a free ticket to another show - I would pass on it.

by PissedoffatMadonna on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

    MADONNA WAS RUDE

by LAURIEW on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

8:00 PM ON TICKET ! YOU EXPECT THAT SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN OUT BY 9:00 - 9;15. TO HAVE EVERY ONE WAIT TILL 10:20 IS JUST RUDE . THE SHOW WAS ALSO NOT WORTH THE $350 PER TICKET WE PAID, HER FIRST SONG WAS IN VERY POOR TASTE WITH THE SHOOTING AND BLOOD SPLATTER.

amazing performance artist. great dancing, staging and video..a once in a lifetime experience did start a bit late and opening act was awful. Also, would have preferred her to sing the few oldies as we knew them rather than changing them so (like a virgin for example and a shortened version of papa dont preach)

    Spectacular

by NicksAdmirer on 9/7/12TD Garden - Boston

I have been to several Madonna concerts and this one ranks right up with the best (although my favorite is still the Confessions tour). She puts on an amazing show. I heard this Boston show was sold out and judging from the crowd - it actually was. Madonna is still full of energy. I liked her interaction with the audience during this show - still presents herself as an untouchable "queen" which is a Madonna icon, but she is definitely more grateful to her fans lately. The lighting was top-notch and the set design was dynamic. She kept the crowd going from her opening "Girl Gone Wild" all the way through her closing song "Celebration." She was fashionably late which I have come to expect. Worth every penny. Her setlist was lengthy and versatile. I would have LOVED to have been in the "pit" - the somewhat triangular area enclosed by the extended stage/runway.
