Mac Demarco Concert Schedule and Tour

From the lo-fi haze of his early recordings to the languid shimmer of his newer work, Mac Demarco  has firmly established himself as slacker rock's modern posterboy. Cigarette perilously dangling from his lips, Demarco cuts an insouciant figure on stage, treating fans at his live shows to his signature drawl and vintage guitar tones. Whether he's apologizing to his mom for "Freaking Out The Neighborhood" or advising listeners to "Go Easy," Demarco is sure to captivate with his seedy charm and world-weary wit on his upcoming concert tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in British Columbia in 1990, Mac Demarco began playing music at age 14, involving himself in various bands while attending high school. In 2009 he began releasing music as Makeout Videotape, performing in concert venues around Vancouver and building a small but loyal following with his lewd sense of humor and off-color live shows. In 2011 he moved to Montreal to begin working on what would ultimately become his debut release as Mac Demarco, 2012's Rock and Roll Night Club. The self-produced album, recorded at home on a four-track tape recorder, was a hit with fans and critics alike, attracting the attention of Brooklyn-based independent label Captured Tracks. His sophomore album, 2, was released on the label in 2012, landing on numerous year-end lists and further contributing to his growing cult fame.  In 2014, he released his third album Salad Days to universal acclaim, kicking off a 36-date world tour that will treat fans in North America, South America, and Europe to his already-legendary live show events.

Mac DeMarco sang My Kind Of Woman & saved my life

by sadgirlnands on 9/11/17Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - Berkeley

Mac DeMarco was beautiful! Homeshake was awesome! The Garden shook me to my core! If you were in General, r.i.p because the moshpit was definitely scary and annoying but other than that if I had the chance to see them all again I most definitely would!!!!

He gave a 10-minute performance of a thousand miles and he only sang "makin my way downtown" and it was 11/10, this is the most beautiful man and you must absolutely see him.

Mac DeMarco just seems like a really genuine guy, as do his band mates. They are great performers, and super chill human beings.

    Mac was not whack

by jnylzbth on 10/29/15Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

I loved his entire show. The encore was amazing, they rocked out so hard and left everyone in straight awe. I felt hardcore soothed after. So happy to know this band exists and rocks out like they do, and blessed to have been able to see them.

    Mac's a great performer

by YSSS on 10/29/15Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

First time listening to Mac DeMarco live, I did come away surprised. He sounds way more mellow on his albums. At the concert, he rocked and had quite an edge. Liked it! For the encore, he did a pretty metallic Metallica. Too bad, we had to endure such long opening acts.

Mac DeMarco is my soul person

by KarinaKoala on 10/29/15Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

Mac DeMarco and his band came out to What is Love by Haddaway and right away I knew this show was going to be unforgettable. The show started out very calm and his voice sounds even better in person which is very rare for many singers nowadays. Andy and Pierce both interacted with the audience and made sure to keep us all laughing and into the show which I thought was great! He had a table on the side of the stage where his friends were seated and half the time the girls were making out and they sprayed Capri sun all over the crowd and that was pretty entertaining as well! They were a bit distracting at times but it made the show interesting. The show ended with Mac doing a cover of Enter Sandman by Metallica and it was a great way to end the show! Everyone was rocking out with him and it was so much fun to see how Mac rocked out with no shirt on! It was an unbelievable night, it felt like a dream to me. I can't wait to go to another one of his shows!

Mac DeMarco puts on the best show I've ever seen

by AudreyLP on 10/20/15Civic Theatre - New Orleans

Everything about Mac's performance is flawless. He sounds amazing live. Just as good if not better than the recording. This is my second time seeing him, and the first time since Another One came out. The new songs sound great. Andy's solos are phenomenal, and the whole band is clearly having a fun time. Mac climbed up the balcony while crowd surfing during Still Together, then jumped off the balcony into the crowd again. It ended with the crowd rushing the stage and partying with the band. Perfect night.

    Mac was great, waiting wasn't!

by CWatz23 on 10/20/15Civic Theatre - New Orleans

Mac DeMarco's performance was great, but way too short. The openers took up about an hour and a half of the time slot, which was longer than the time the actual performer I went to see was on stage. It was nice, but could have been better.

    best concert ever!!!

by TradWillmann on 10/20/15Civic Theatre - New Orleans

Mac is a sex god, i felt his vibrations all night long as i grooved to his sweet sweet music. He connected with the crowd more than any other band i have seen and at the end of the show the crowd rushed the stage, i even got to touch his nipple ;)

I will never experience the same happiness again

by ratgiirl on 10/18/15Howard Theatre - Washington

Mac is an unbelievably, unreal performer. Never in my life have I been to a concert where the band connected more with the audience. You felt like you were just hanging out with them. Afterwords he was fine with just hanging out with people backstage... and I still can't breathe when I look back on it

skip the openers and go right in when mac starts

by hunterscottr on 10/17/15Howard Theatre - Washington

Mac demarco was excellent as always. He was very entertaining and he did his usual weirdness, which was incredible. However, the openers for the band were downright awful. Alex Calder had the most droning voice I have ever heard. I asked people around me to make sure it wasn't just me that thought it was bad. NOBODY enjoyed Alex Calder. He sounded like a high school battle of the bands. He actually killed the buzz before the concert.. Luckily Mac picked it back up.

Mac was fine. Lost some respect for him due to who he chose as his opener. Jerry Paper was completely disappointing.
