Mac Demarco Concert Schedule and Tour
From the lo-fi haze of his early recordings to the languid shimmer of his newer work, Mac Demarco has firmly established himself as slacker rock's modern posterboy. Cigarette perilously dangling from his lips, Demarco cuts an insouciant figure on stage, treating fans at his live shows to his signature drawl and vintage guitar tones. Whether he's apologizing to his mom for "Freaking Out The Neighborhood" or advising listeners to "Go Easy," Demarco is sure to captivate with his seedy charm and world-weary wit on his upcoming concert tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in British Columbia in 1990, Mac Demarco began playing music at age 14, involving himself in various bands while attending high school. In 2009 he began releasing music as Makeout Videotape, performing in concert venues around Vancouver and building a small but loyal following with his lewd sense of humor and off-color live shows. In 2011 he moved to Montreal to begin working on what would ultimately become his debut release as Mac Demarco, 2012's Rock and Roll Night Club. The self-produced album, recorded at home on a four-track tape recorder, was a hit with fans and critics alike, attracting the attention of Brooklyn-based independent label Captured Tracks. His sophomore album, 2, was released on the label in 2012, landing on numerous year-end lists and further contributing to his growing cult fame. In 2014, he released his third album Salad Days to universal acclaim, kicking off a 36-date world tour that will treat fans in North America, South America, and Europe to his already-legendary live show events.

Read the title, Mac Demarco did a fantastic job but the opener wasn't great.
This is my second time seeing Mac! Love his shows because he makes it fun and weird! The energy was great. People were crowd surfing and moshing. Such a cool dude! First time I saw him, Peter gave me the setlist!!! When I saw him at the Fillmore, I had the opportunity to meet him, take a photo, get an autograph and kiss him! He left my lipstick mark on his cheek for the rest of the night <3
It was so much fun I had a blast and I danced alot
He was on stage by 9:45 and play until 10:30ish. I wish he played longer.
Mac Demarco was more than I expected it to be. Opening was great, mac was better, crowd surf was gnarly, he made out with two dudes just because. Unreal.
Mac demarco played his songs from his lattest 2 albums: salad days and mac demarco 2. Conan played his classic song with his creepy high pitched voice: im the man that with find you. Mac demarco is known for his wild performances. When playing "together" he surfed through the first floor of people. He then was pulled up to the second floor to surf through the whole building and back. There was lots of young kids, but everyone was feeling the vibe, dancing, jumping, and surfing on the tight crowd.
The Mac Demarco show at the Danforth was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Couldn't have picked a better opener. Mac played an AMAZING show and I loved the constant interaction with the audience, that is what makes us as viewers feel special and make it worth while. Flawless show.
Mac Demarco. was as wild live as you would want him to be. He climbed the wall for God's sake.
Great concert but security needs to keep the crowed more in order.
I dig Mac's music, but it was just a cruddy performance. He only played about 1 minute of his songs, left early, and had no stage presence. The sound was horribly off too, which might not of been his fault, but didn't help everything else in his performance. For the price, it was not worth it.
They played some new-york-ified version of their songs with a lot of jokes, irony and sarkasm. It gave the impression that they did not respect the audience nor their own music much. I know they are supposed to be young punks not respecting anyone and so on.. but this also made the music worse.. Maybe they did not feel comfortable at such a big stage. Maybe they are supposed to be underdogs. King Gizzard and Connan Mockasin who played before did fantastic shows however! King Gizzard them selves was worth the whole ticket price.
Mac Demarco was a joy to watch per usual, but DAMN his fans are tall. Constantly had to find a window so I could see a peep of Mac and the band. Given, these fans are very sweet and generous, but giants. Great show overall, great setlist and vibe. Always love it!
He's got so much energy. He crowd surfed for an entire song and the band's overall vibe is incredibly jovial. You can't not have a good time watching them. It's like being on the best drugs while still being completely sober.
Amazing live performer, each song sounded better than on the album. Dude can jam and has a tight band.
One of the most interactive concerts I've been to. Mac's band wasn't able to make the show, but he still went on - just him and his guitar. He was absolutely hilarious and fun and I'll 100% see him again.
Mostly a younger crowd, glad I stayed away from the floor. Great show. Very talented musicians. Impressed with their live performance.
Incredible set. Great venue. Met this dude after the show. Mac is the nicest dude
Without a doubt, the Mac Demarco show is among my top 3 favorite shows EVER. Incredible stage presence and energy -- really knew how to engage the audience. Musically on par with the album. Great sense of humor. Left me wanting more.
Make sure to catch these bands while they're on tour the next few months. Very talented, great performers, and super solid. Super fun!
