I Lovett!
by dana on 8/13/23Lovett is great, it was everything I expected from listening to the podcast. I was glad that it was two hours because the podcast is usually cut to one.

Jon Lovett is a podcast host, former presidential speechwriter, and straight shooter widely respected on both sides. In 2017 he co-founded Crooked Media, where he co-hosts "Pod Save America" and hosts "Lovett or Leave It," two popular podcasts that are very good. Before Crooked, he served as a speechwriter in the Obama White House, co-created a comedy on NBC called "1600 Penn" (canceled after one perfect season), and wrote speeches for Hillary Clinton. He recently switched to oat milk.

Jon Lovett is so smart. He thinks and reacts so quickly and wittily. (Is wittily a word?) His banter with the guests and audience is, to borrow Jon's phrase, such a delight. I wish I could watch him every day. This was my first time seeing him live. I listen to his podcast every week religiously. I will continue to do that, but now I will definitely keep track of his future tour dates and cities so I can see him live again in the future.
Jon Lovett is so real, funny, and brilliant! It was great to see him live after listening to the podcast for so long. He is entertaining and I would recommend seeing him anytime!
Jon Lovett is hilarious, brilliant, and charming. He’s truly a gem. My husband and I didn’t stop laughing the entire evening. We wish Lovett would move back to NY and host his weekly podcast live in NYC instead of LA. (And don’t even get me started on how he’s the obvious choice to host the Daily Show or something like it.) Thank you to Lovett and the Crooked team for a fantastic show and evening!
Venue beautiful and Lovett was perfect. I wish I had shared a high note!
Being huge fans of the pod we knew we had to come see this live show given the opportunity. After not being out on a date night in months due to recently having a baby this was a great parents night out for us. Expectations were high and it did not disappoint- hilarity coupled with politics and thought provoking discussions was a perfect way to pop our post baby date night cherry. Couldn’t recommend more!
I loved it. Very funny. I brought a friend who does not listen to the podcast and she loved it too. Will definitely buy tickets again.
This was a great show - John is very natural on stage, leading the show, and everything is well organized and visually as well as comedically fun. The audience was able to interact a bit without it distracting from the show, and the final edit made it all seem seamless. A great time was had by all, even those who thought they were seeing Lyle.
It was surprising how many people were there by accident. Jon was very welcoming to them all. John Hodgman’s lighthouse keeper segment was very Maine 👍🏼 It was a great show, and it felt great to support a live performance!
I mean, he’s no Lyle Lovett, but it was an amazing show with wonderful guests. 10 out of 10
I’ve wanted to see this show and they finally came back to Austin! It was so much fun!
My daughter laughed really really hard when she heard that. She LOVES this Lovett. Wish I had given her my ticket. He's amazingly funny. Beto was really great. I just was really ready for some Joshua Judges Ruth...
A friend gave me free tickets. I wasn’t too familiar with John but what a great show! I laughed and smiled till my cheeks hurt! So glad I went!
Maybe it was just a slow week, but Lovett lacked humor, insight, and any semblance of intelligence. His guests were potentially interesting enough, but Lovett led them nowhere. The smartest people left early.
It should explicitly say “democrats only” as this was more political, than comedy, and the constant bashing of others and pushing agendas got old - we walked out.
Jon Lovett and his guests were extremely funny! It was non-stop laughter and fast moving. Please come back to the East Coast asap!
The inside of the venue was a sweltering 90 degrees. It was way too hot to enjoy, had to leave halfway through due to lack of cooling. Unacceptable. The guests were great though!
The rainbow pants were everything. Jon is a great character with fantastic insights of our republic, the politics behind and the people make it up. Great experience.
Smart, insightful and hilarious! I can't wait until he comes back!
Always an awesome show. Great guests. Very engaging and informative as usual and oh so funny.
