    Funny, sad, and gimmicky

by Stardust on 1/9/24Orpheum Theatre - New York

As a fan of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend it was mostly what I was expecting, though it leaned in to the "oh I'm just here to do this pre-pandemic show, definitely not gonna talk about death"gimmick a little too hard for my taste. I might've read too much about the show beforehand for it to work for me. As a new mom, hearing Rachel's birth and newborn experience hit pretty hard. Thankfully my experience was less traumatic but it definitely made me want to go hold my baby. The songs were good but none of them really got into my head the way some CXG songs do (e.g. I Have Friends, I'm a Good Person, Let's Generalize About Men, etc). But who knows, these songs might grow on me!

    Amazing Show

I highly recommend the show. It's a poignant and hilarious reflection on death. If you watched Crazy Ex-GF and loved it, you won't be disappointed.

Funny, thought-provoking, and just a little dirty

by Jess on 1/2/24Orpheum Theatre - New York

Rachel Bloom at her best. Which means one second you're hysterically laughing and the next you're pondering existence. Throw in just the right amount of filth and hope.

TINY seats omg, pretty good show

by Lily on 12/30/23Orpheum Theatre - New York

These seats are tiny. Like, very very tiny. If you weigh more than 150, you're gonna be uncomfortable. The show has a surprise guest, which was super cool.

Took a chance. Glad I did.

by Joe on 12/28/23Orpheum Theatre - New York

I liked Rachel Bloom on Crazy Ex Girlfriend, but I wasn't sure I wanted to see a standup show with her. I finally said "What the hell. I haven't been in the Orpheum for decades."I'm so glad I made that decision. The show was brilliant and took me totally by surprise. Not at all what I was expecting and more than I could have hoped for. I, as they say, laughed and cried my way through it and came out of it a bit wiser.

Loved the show! You can tell the entire audience loves Rachel and it was great to see her tell her story in person in her way - with tons of humor and music!
