Cameron Mackintosh presents the acclaimed production of Boublil and Schönberg's Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, Les Misérables. This brilliant staging has taken the world by storm and has been hailed as "a reborn dream of a production" (Daily Telegraph).
Set against the backdrop of 19th century France, Les Misérables tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption-a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. The magnificent score of Les Misérables includes the songs "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own," "Bring Him Home," "One Day More" and many more.
The show was incredible! From the lighting effects to the costuming to the powerful voices of the cast, everything was perfection.
Great performance! Great performers! Sound system was phenomenal! Live orchestra was fantastic!
overall pretty good - if you know the story. At times hard to understand the words and songs. Show moved quickly making it hard for first timers to follow. Stage(lighting) sometimes appeared dark and action was toward the back of the stage (could have been brought forward more.)
"Les Miserables"was one of the better live shows I have seen, being either a touring show at Chrysler Hall or a first run show on Broadway. The voices were simply outstanding. The vocal range of some of the performers was amazing. And the sets! The jumping off the bridge, the baricade, how the entire group was made to look as if they were actually marching forward with the "road""falling"away behind them... it was all so realistic. Excellent, just excellent.
I’ve been a MASSIVE Les Miz fan for over 35 years. I did not like the changes they had made to the production. Changing a lot of the opening of the songs to dialogue versus music, cutting parts of songs, and ending the songs too quickly instead of letting the dramatic ending notes fade out etc. may be unnoticeable - but not to me. As for Chrysler Hall, it is in horrible condition. Not only physically, but the acoustics and sound system are absolutely unacceptable.
AMAZING PERFORMANCE!!!. CAST WAS AWESOME! SET & LIGHTING WERE BEYOND BELIEF! ORCHESTRA WAS PERFECTION! THE VENUE WAS BEAUTIFUL! THE STAFF WERE HELPFUL & FRIENDLY! OVERALL, I WOULDN'T CHANGE A THING!
I saw Les Miz on Broadway in 1997, have been a super fan before and since. Seen all of the movie adaptations and the anniversary concerts that have been broadcast. This production did not disappoint! Incredible cast and scenery. Everything exceeded expectations!
Everything about it was fantastic … the singing, the acting, the choreography, the sets. All were amazing. Absolutely the best!
Lighting, staging, actors, and orchestra were all spectacular..awesome show!!
It’s been a few years since our last encounter with Les Mis but this was definitely worth the wait. Everything was perfect. The performance was outstanding, bordering on PERFECTION. We didn’t have the best seats but what was lost in the seating was more than made up by the performance of the entire cast!
This was one of the best performances of Les Miserables that I’ve seen! I saw it back in the turntable days and a few other times. Worth seeing!
It was my first time seeing the show. I went thinking I would love it and ended up absolutely adoring it, for someone who has read the book and seen the movie “Les Miserables” it is a whole new experience. Five stars, I totally recommend it!
Terrific lead in Valjean. Wonderful Cosette and Gavroche in my opinion. The Chorus/Ensemle was particularly notable—big, big sound and vocal blend. They are top notch!
This was the 10th time I’ve seen Les Miserables and it was definitely the Best. The staging added so much more to the story and I thought that Valjean and Javert put much more emotion into their music. Their voices were spectacular.
I have seen Les Miserables over 14 appearances and this performance was the weakest. The performers seemed to not feel his/her/their role(s). Seemed to be rushed LET’s GET THROUGH THIS ATTITUDE!
All of the performers were incredible and the production was amazing. Have seen this show multiple times and this was by far the best.
Every single cast member was outstanding. Truly and transformative experience.
Les Mis has vaulted itself to the top of my favorite live musicals. I was so impressed with the set changes and performances from all of the characters.
great show, good seats...great cast.............................
I've seen this show in multiple cities including on Broadway. This performance was spectacular from the orchestra to the sets and lighting but most impressive was the tonal quality of the voices of the incredibly talented actors. There wasn't a moment of disappointment in three hours, bravo, well done!
