About

Cameron Mackintosh presents the acclaimed production of Boublil and Schönberg's Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, Les Misérables. This brilliant staging has taken the world by storm and has been hailed as "a reborn dream of a production" (Daily Telegraph).

Set against the backdrop of 19th century France, Les Misérables tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption-a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. The magnificent score of Les Misérables includes the songs "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own," "Bring Him Home," "One Day More" and many more.

  • As good as I remember

by Jenni D on 11/5/25Uihlein Hall Marcus Center - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

I first saw Les Mis 30 years ago, and it is still as amazing as it was then. While I was a little bummed about how the barricade was done (30 years ago, the scenery rotated to make the barricade), I know that technology has totally changed. Javert jumping from the bridge, while similar to before, I think was so much better done this time around. I really enjoyed this modernized version. Congratulations to 40 years on stage!

  • Awesome

by Brownie on 11/4/25Uihlein Hall Marcus Center - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

This was the 5th time we saw Les Miserables and it did not disappoint. The voices, the actors, the sets were amazing. The flow of the show from beginning to the end was wonderful. The first thing my husband and I said when we got back to our car “that was so worth the price of the tickets.”

  • Outstanding Performance by very talented team of vocalists

by Yorgie on 11/4/25Uihlein Hall Marcus Center - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

Les Miserables is one of our favorite broadway musicals! We will go every year to see given the amazing power of the story, music, and vocal talent that tells the story.

  • Stage too dark. Why?

by Bay View Tom on 11/3/25Uihlein Hall Marcus Center - MilwaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

The production of Les Mis was excellent, especially the singing. But THE STAGE WAS TOO DARK.

Saw Les Miserables at the Marcus on Oct. 29. It was fantastic! We left there in awe of the show. The acting, the singing was amazing! The music in Les Mis is so powerful and the actors portrayed it beautifully. Would highly recommend seeing it. This was my 2nd time seeing it and it never disappoints.

  • Miserable No More

by Jean on 10/31/25Uihlein Hall Marcus Center - MilwaukeeRating: 3 out of 5

I’d never seen Les Miserables so I decided it was time. I can honestly say now that I’ve seen it I don’t need to ever see it again. Very long, odd score extremely difficult to sing, only about 4 memorable songs. The cast sang this difficult score very well but I was expecting something more emotionally resonant and rousing.

  • Excellent musical

by Todd on 10/27/25Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent musical with great singing voices! The songs were emotional and very catchy at the same time.

  • Booster seat

by Oink 55 on 10/24/25Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 3 out of 5

I thought each actor's performance was much better than I expected. I enjoyed it very much. However, I had the worst experience at the theater. A middle aged woman on the booster seat was sitting in front of me. Her head was in the way. It was very difficult to focus on the stage. I had to keep moving my head to watch the stage during the show. She was too big and old to use the booster seat. I hope I will never see something like that again.

  • Amazing and Heartfelt

by BrownEyedGirl on 10/23/25Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen the Hollywood Movie but never a live performance. My husband is a huge fan so I got the tickets to The Pantages venue for his Birthday Gift. Originally we were going to the San Diego performance but a surgery for me thwarted that date. We gifted our son and daughter in law with the tickets to the San Diego venue. She is also a huge fan of Les Miserables. In comparing our notes we all were beyond pleased at the performance, actors, set designs, lighting effects, you name it...if it happened at the show we LOVED it. My husband read the book, is a big fan of Victor Hugo. He saw the live performance in his early years in washington DC. Seeing it at The Pantages put a big smile on his face all the while he was wanting to be sure I was having as enjoyable an experience. And I did!!!

  • Drama 🎭 Comedy 🎭

by Kaylynn on 10/22/25Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Actors were excellent. Singing 🎶 was great. This production followed the original story line. Costumes were great. Set design was a bit static and not visually interesting - focus was definitely on the actors/singers. Overall A- / B+

Not my first, second, or even third time seeing les mis, but took the kids this time and it’s the best ever. Nothing like great music, a great performance, a great story, at a great venue I attended growing up. Hopefully one day my kids take their kids!

  • BLOWN AWAY!

by Bribri_j on 10/22/25Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Every single performer killed it! The acting and set design and music was amazing. Everything was so well done and executed. I was most in awe of the singing talent of each and every individual up there. Those are some of the hardest songs, but every note was hit and every emotion felt. Absolutely loved it and just kept thinking "wow". Thank you so much to the Les Mis traveling team for such a memorable night.
