About

Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed production of Boublil and Schönberg's Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, LES MISÉRABLES makes a triumphant return to Chicago. This brilliant staging has taken the world by storm and has been hailed as "a reborn dream of a production" (Daily Telegraph).

Set against the backdrop of 19th century France, LES MISÉRABLES tells an enthralling story of broken dreams and unrequited love, passion, sacrifice and redemption - a timeless testament to the survival of the human spirit. The magnificent score of LES MISÉRABLES includes the songs "I Dreamed a Dream," "On My Own," "Bring Him Home," "One Day More" and many more.

  • PHENOMENAL PRODUCTION!!!

by PhanGirl on 1/27/25Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I was lucky enough to see this show with some amazing understudies: Emily Fink was on for Fantine and Colin Anderson was Jean Valjean. This is one of my favorite musicals, and the entire cast was incredible! The music was gorgeous, as always, and the voices of all the actors were just beautiful. Colin Anderson was pure PERFECTION as Jean Valjean!

  • great experience!

Highly recommend getting parking that was a dream to pull in and park one block away! We walked right into the theater and were directed to the location we were seated. Appreciated the helpful staff. Beautiful theater and comfortable seating.

  • Staging Spectacular, Singing Disappointing

by Ned on 1/8/25Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 3 out of 5

I’ve seen Les Miserables many times. The staging was wonderful, the sets spectacular and the backdrop that changed and moved with each scene enhanced the experience. The singers were disappointing. It was the final performance of this Chicago run, and it showed. The Cadillac is getting a bit worn and restrooms have always been a problem.

  • Most Visually Stunning Production Ever

by Mary Rita on 1/8/25Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Kudos to the stunning talent that put the set and costumes together. I was mesmerized by what I was watching. The ensemble was excellent and the theater is gorgeous. We took advantage of the suite service. I think it was worth it. We were admitted in 45 minutes before the production with no waiting and imbibed a cocktail and nibbled on a snack. We came back at intermission and enjoyed another drink and used the private bathroom in time to get back in our seats for the second act. It was the last night of the show in Chicago and evidently it was a sold out performance! Truly a special night.

  • Both the musical and theater are classics

Excellent! Vocals were gorgeous and the dialogue clear. The close captioning was an added bonus!

  • Breathtaking!

    by Jessie B on 1/7/25Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

What an unbelievable experience. Even tho it’s a well known, often seen production, this one exceeded expectations! The cast was exemplary and the set design and effects blew us away.

  • We Heard the People Sing!

by Prufrock on 1/7/25Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

We benefited by having 7th-row seats, on the main floor; thus, the amazing voices were even more resonant from up close. For Les Mis, there were many whose songs were truly memorable. The set design was also fantastic, with so much being able to be packed into a somewhat compressed area. My wife and I have seen this play at least 5 times, and this production was probably the best of them all. It was obvious that the performers were at the top of their game because of how appreciative the audience was throughout the entirety of the performance.

  • Best performance I have seen of Les Mis!

by Rebecca on 1/7/25Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen many professional productions of Les Mis, and this was the strongest cast I have seen. All the performers from the ensemble to the leads had incredible voices and passion. Highly recommend!

  • The show was great, but don’t make us wait!

by Scott on 1/7/25Cadillac Palace - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

“Les Miserables” is one of the greatest musicals of all time, and has themes that resonate in every era. It’s my wife and my favorite musical, and we’ve seen it several times. I’m always surprised how each time I see it, it is relevant to what’s going on in the world at that time. The musical score is stirring and emotional, and the production was top-notch. My only quibble was after receiving several reminders from Ticketmaster to arrive early, when we did the Cadillac Palace Theater kept us waiting on the sidewalk in the freezing cold until they opened the doors. Look down, Cadillac Palace, and show some mercy if you can!
