  • This band Leonid & Friends was Outstanding!

    by Jim H on 11/24/21Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Almost 3 hours of the best of the "Chicago" songs. The instrumentations and vocals were so good that we realized that Leonid & Friends actually sounded better than the original! (their YouTube studio videos prove how good they sound) Only challenge was the echo effect inside the Neptune Theater. A fine old theater but not really the best for a band of this size and their full sound. No question we will buy tickets for them again when they come back to Seattle.

Incredibly talented and energetic performance! Anyone who passes up an opportunity to see them perform live is making a huge mistake!!

  • A fun night for all

by Jim on 11/24/21Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Did a great job providing top notch Chicago music with energy and joy that infected the audience. Loved it. My one suggestion (and this may have been the fault of the sound system or acoustics of the venue) is to give the vocals a sound boost: often overwhelmed by the instruments (the brass, drummer, and piano players were great though).

  • Great Performance! Sound, not so great.

by RandyH on 11/24/21Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

We were very impressed by the talent on stage. Blown away by their musical abilities, excitement, and the ability to entertain as well. Well worth seeing them in person. Would definitely recommend them to others. However, the sound system at this venue didn't live up to the artists abilities. The sound was distorted and some instruments (mainly the horns) and vocals got lost in the mix during loud passages. It could be because we were in the balcony, not sure. Overall we had a great time which we'll remember for a long time.

  • VERY TALENTED GROUP!

    by J-Rod on 11/24/21The Egyptian Theatre - BoiseRating: 5 out of 5

A very talented group of misicians from Russia! The horn section was so animated during the performance. Talent throughout the show. A must see!

  • Great concert, audio not so much.

by Natcho Daddy on 11/16/21MGM Northfield Park - Center Stage - NorthfieldRating: 3 out of 5

Loved the band and the venue. The only detractor was the audio was poorly mixed and so loud that the system started to distort, especially the vocals. If it hadn't been for that, I would have given it 5 stars. I don't mind loud, but excruciating distortion kind of ruined it. Get the sound guy some hearing aids.

  • Great musicians but sound tech needs help

by Ron on 11/15/21The Egyptian Theatre - BoiseRating: 4 out of 5

Very talented musicians but sound tech had it so loud the the vocals were overshadowed by all the other instruments. Sound in balcony area was muddled and over powering, would have only taken a small decrease in the volume to clear up the sound and make it so the voices could be understood without degrading the performances of the other musicians.

  • Talent squandered on poor acoustics and sound system

by Chas on 11/15/21The Egyptian Theatre - BoiseRating: 3 out of 5

Disappointed that these talented musicians did not have an appropriate sound system. Audio was poorly balanced and distorted. A lower volume might have helped.

  • Wonderful experience

by Don on 11/15/21The Egyptian Theatre - BoiseRating: 5 out of 5

Exceptional musicians playing extraordinary music. The members are very involved and together they create a wonderful show that is to be remembered

  • Outstanding show! Incredible musicians!

by Gary Bassett on 11/15/21The Egyptian Theatre - BoiseRating: 5 out of 5

The takeaway was that these are fantastic artists and deserve to be performing to much larger venues with a much bigger budget for sound/lighting etc. While I acclimated to the sound level, it was too heavy on percussion and not enough on the vocals. The Egyptian isn't a bad venue and provides a very intimate setting. That said, those I've talked to indicated that the volume generally was too loud. Would have enjoyed more focused lighting on the featured artists. I loved that they truly seem to be loving the experience of playing for their American fans. It was fun to watch their interaction with each other. I tried to purchase seats with the "meet and greet" pass, but it didn't work out. Would like to have had the opportunity to thank them personally for coming to Boise. Definitely a night I will remember.

  • Fun Evening!

Loved the concert and the venue, but wish the sound quality at the venue would've been better!

  • L&F Review

by Orson on 11/15/21The Egyptian Theatre - BoiseRating: 5 out of 5

Totally outstanding experience, could not have been any better. The venue was just right, not too big and not too small. We were close by and could see the band with no problem. Thank goodness the people in front of us decide to dance in the aisle and not in front of their seats where they would block our view. We drove 7 hrs from Missoula, MT and it was well worth it, I would do it again in a heartbeat. This group is so talented and so good it's just incredible, and I've seen the original Chicago band twice.I want to thank them for a fantastic concert, hope they play somewhere close to Missoula again in the near future, I'm there!

  • These guys blew the doors down!

by Cajun on 11/15/21The Egyptian Theatre - BoiseRating: 5 out of 5

Such a great show! Hot band, epic music, fun comedy relief and crowd involvement. Best concert I have been to in a long time.

  • SOOOOO MUCH FUN!!

by Parma Fans on 11/15/21The Egyptian Theatre - BoiseRating: 5 out of 5

An excellent evening with fabulous music in a great setting. This was our introduction to Leonid & Friends. We purchased tickets, just knowing we loved the music of Chicago Transit Authority--and this band from Russia almost outdid the originals!! We hadn't been out to an "event" in a long time. This was a great re-entry into Boise entertainment.

I have to admit I was hesitant to go see a band when I’d only seen videos of them in the studio. I’ve been disappointed too many times in the past. I’m SO glad I went. The music was flawless and they truly are artists on stage. The show was entertaining. My wife went. She hates everything. She LOVED it too. I WILL go see them again if the opportunity ever presents itself.

  • Fabulous concert

by Dave on 11/15/21The Egyptian Theatre - BoiseRating: 5 out of 5

Better than the original Chicago in many ways. The set list was great and included some great tunes on the early albums that never got any airtime - really great to hear those again!

  • Wonderful music. Excellent venue.

by Danovich on 11/10/21Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

The EQ was perfect, and the performers were having a great time. Love flowed both directions. Im proud of how KC behaved with class and enthusiasm.

Band was fabulous. Not only was the music great but the interaction with the crowd was cool. Love their energy and commitment to sharing their professionalism.

  • Leonid and Friends-Best show ever

by Jan on 11/9/21Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

Can’t say how great this show was. The energy they give is amazing. Three days later and I am still re-living the evening. Will definitely go again if they come back anywhere near Kansas City or Wichita.

  • Incredible Night

by TTrue on 11/8/21Ameristar Casino and Hotel - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5

Although my expectations were high entering the concert, the 3 hours of Leonid and Friends exceeded what I expected. GREAT job. It's fun watching a group like L&F that enjoys the crowd and playing the songs they play as much as they do. Four people I talked with at the concert mentioned the same thing I thought. Leonid and Friends play Chicago better than Chicago played Chicago. Not only a great job but a great concert. Please come back to Kansas City!
